I loved this video I am travelling soon and had to pack wisely so this video gave me so many ideas of simple clothes style in many different outfits. I also loved when you mention that style is something you have to be comfortable with instead of copying other people. I have been struggling to find my own style but watching your videos I stoped to buy everything I saw on the UA-cam and focus on using and matching the styles I had such a good exercise. Hi again THLP, I just did a quick search - and the dress from Emily's grandmother is likely a "Sally Browne" number. They were beautifully made pieces and highly coveted in their day. I have more to read now about this woman - she sounds amazing ! The serendipity is that Sally herself was born and educated very near to where Emily was living in Melbourne (Australia) when she filmed this video. So maybe something of the spirit of this part of the world informed Sally's designs ✂👗

Absolutely love the pretty floral dress with the big boots for a grungy look! I wear dresses and boots pretty much on most work days but jeans on days off! That jumper is cute too! 😊 Looking forward you the Spring one even though here in UK we are well into Autumn now. Mainly mild, wet and windy atm though! My husbands family live in Perth so a lot warmer there than here atm! 😊
I kinda wish you didn't feel the need to do a video for your northern hemisphere subscribers. So often, we have to curate our culture for the sake of the northern hemisphere - it would be nice if you could just produce content and let the Americans play catch up for a change.
That is such a stupid thing to say. I mean she has followers from all over the world, I would watch a spring/summer video now because its freezing here. And hello northern hemisphere isnt just America, Im from Europe, get a map.

I liked the clean minimalistic looks. The large wool shacket was cool. The vintage floral pieces...ugh...I understand the sentimental value for you but definitely not my style. I had some items a few years ago that belonged to my grandmother, a vintage Burberry trench coat and some knitwear, a black and white tweed blazer. They seemed cool for a while to me and I used them. But then they just seemed not right anymore, there was something frumpy about them. Vintage can be cool sometimes but - for me - it still needs to look fresh and modern.
Love the sweater 'jumper' over the dress look. I've been playing with that myself just this week. I agree you have to find your waist again. The vintage pieces are so special 🤗

I have a couple of vintage dresses that I’ve never been able to part with. I didn’t get to wear them this summer and seeing the jumpers over them was inspiring. I especially loved the retro sweater with the dress combo. I think I’m a little old to wear something like that but it was so fun! I also have a different sweater I could wear over one of those dresses! It also was great to see how that one purse worked with so many different things because I have lots of purses but I’m lazy. :)
