Creating a timeless capsule wardrobe has always been something I have wanted to do. The process did seem quite daunting at first. But having the chance to partner with Everlane made it that much easier to start my capsule wardrobe edit. Yes, this video is sponsored by Everlane.
Everlane is a brand that creates well made timeless pieces, that's what makes them a great brand to start with for my capsule wardrobe. Their basics range has so many different colours and cuts to choose from, so they are well suited to everyone.
This video consists of over 35 timeless outfit ideas to help get you inspired to create beautiful classic outfits that will stand the test of time. Creating a classic wardrobe with outfits that don't go out of style is an important start to creating your capsule wardrobe. You can then add in a few trends here and there, every other season.
I intend to create more videos in the future including actionable steps on 'how to create a capsule wardrobe.' This video doesn't exactly go into depth about how to create a capsule wardrobe, but it does go into depth about all products mentioned.

Terra Reneau you can believe what you want, and I’m okay with that because I know what’s true in my heart.
However, I will still defend myself because no matter what, it’s always upsetting to have people think I’m a liar.
For the record, I became sustainability focused only within the past couple of weeks. (This video went live months ago). Before this partnership I wasn’t educated about sustainability/ethics in the fashion industry. I had heard bits and pieces but nothing of what I know now. I didn’t partner with Everlane because they were ‘sustainability focused,’ I partnered with them because they were a fashion brand, which was purely what my channel was about then. The fact that they were known to be an ‘ethical’ brand to me was a bonus. I did research on them a month before the due date of my video (which was when I signed the contract) and when researching I didn’t come across anything to do with racism in their workplace. The report from the staff at Everlane about the racism issues was released a few days before my video went live and sadly I missed out on seeing that and only found out about it after my video went live.
If it was as simple as me taking the video down, it would have been done by now. I’ve tried not to divulge so much of the contractual details in this because I thought it would be obvious to viewers that I have signed a contract and if I remove this video within a certain time frame, I can be up for paying fees, possibly over thousands of dollars...
I have had to learn a really tough lesson on collaboration contracts.
I can forgive your boldness, I understand there are a lot of people online who do lie to protect themselves but I’m just not one of those people and to be accused of playing dumb is really upsetting.
I’ve tried my hardest to do what I think is right since finding out about the issue.
This is beautiful. I think of myself as a minimalist and definitely having capsule wardrobe but watching yours I want to change my style completely. Thank you for that

Thanks for the outfit ideas. The Everlane brand is getting a lot of good publicity but I have to say, shipping is super super slow compared to other brands shipped from the US. Both my orders have taken well over 6 weeks. Not sure I will order from them again.

Love the concept , approach and idea. Well done on your choices and combinations. I how ever feel the garments are slightly on the dated side in design and style. I am all for classical design and longevity. But do need items to be well cut , made and finished off. I am not seeing that on the video. But please correct me if I'm wrong as I don't know the brand . Love your videos and always watch them.

Andee May Hi Andee. I was unaware of this 😕 thank you for bringing it to my attention. From what I can see they are making a very big effort to change their systems. I’m a big believer in giving brands a chance to change. Hopefully everything they are saying is put in place. Their actions seem sincere, so we can now keep an eye on how they are doing and appreciate their effort from here on out. Xx
Please spend more time researching on who you choose to advertise for. Several people have made comments on their Instagram posts about their “transparency” and workplace ethics. If you choose to continue to partner with them, please avoid using their marketing buzzwords to sale their clothes.
Sonia Lopez hi Sonia. I unfortunately didn’t know about any of this when I chose to partner with them over a month ago. I thought I had done my research into the brand. I had no idea about any of this until this morning after releasing my video. I’m sorry if this partnership has upset you. The information I have heard this morning has upset me 😔 I hope Everlane can do what is right from here and take serious action.
You can change this video by talking about a capsule wardrobe without including the Everlane brand. They are not doing anything to change so far and it’s a lie where they get their clothes from. This video is supporting the oppressor and shows ignorance.

How come all capsule wardrobe videos never have clothes with colour?
Katy Kritharidou personally I don’t like wearing a lot of colour, only a little bit!
But I think most capsule wardrobes don’t have a lot of colour because they are definitely easier to create with more neutral tones, as you can have less and create more outfits. But if you start with a neutral base like this, you can easily add in pops of colours, especially with trend pieces every now and then. Xxx

Kate M hey love. I’ve seen a lot of this on their social media as well. To be honest I think they deal with their partnerships differently. The marketing team deals with influencer partnerships and the customer service team would be seperate to them.
I suspect this is how it works at most companies with partnerships, so I don’t think my experience would be a good example. But I will let you know how it was anyway...
I had a great experience, everything I ordered came quick (I think it was express posted because the video had to be up within a month) and the I ordered an extra item through the marketing team and that came quickly as well.
But yes, like I said, I would assume it’s different for partnerships than customers ♥️ hope this helps xx

I don't see the point of you posting #BLM on your Insta stories if you're only going to start working with toxic brands like Everlane, it's very hypocritical. I suggest reading ex.wives.club on Insta and try and be a part of the solution, not the problem. Disappointing.
Jay S Hey. I have felt pretty awful all morning after finding out about this after releasing my video 😞 I had absolutely no idea about this when I agreed and signed a contract over a month ago. I did my due diligence back then and did not see this coming. Please don’t accuse me of being a hypocrite. Please know that I agreed to this a long time ago, and I would never want to hurt anyone or support this behaviour. I am currently in a sticky position as I have signed a contract and I ask you to try understand that. I’m sorry for upsetting you.
But it is hypocritical though... you can’t support #blm and be an anti-racist while supporting an actual racist company and not pointing that out anywhere in your video or post. That’s the whole point of it.
