Jason Momoa, Gal Gado, and Zendaya were well established LEADING actors way before Amber Heard. I did not know who Amber Heard was before the first trial. Amber was not a LEADING actor prior to Aquaman. Also Jason Momoa, Willem Defoe and Nicole Kidman were the LEADING actors and success of Aquaman.

Big facts! I literally only watch for JD and the reason I put off watching during releases and haven’t personally bought POTC movies is due to the poor writing, and failures on producers to fully flesh out what could be an amazing series. As well, every time I’ve watched or heard the movies discussed there is overwhelming support of JD and disdain for AH. When I watch Aquaman there’s similarly a large disdain for AH and overwhelming support for JM.

I am an abuse warrior, and this case is very triggering for me. To hear a woman explain to me that they have been violated in every way possible, and yet still they have no fear of the person that did this to them?! To such an extent that they could laugh at them and mock them?!, and surround themselves with their friends and family, while isolating the other person?!, and still they have enough bravado to show up in a courtroom and claim that they were the one that was hurt 🤔😳🤢!?. Thank you for reminding me that this judicial proceeding is important and relevant, and not just an abused person having to again fight off their abuser, not only personally but publicly. Watching this evokes a personal empathy for Johnny Depp and every other spouse who has been abused and then had to defend themselves against the state because it makes me feel as if I truly know and understand his pain. And I am sorry that none of this text is grammarically correct however, I have ADHD and dyslexia so I used speech to text in order to express my thoughts and feelings. In short I would like to say thank you for being logical and kind and truthful and I would like to give a shout out to all of the wonderful people around you who help support you through this endeavor.

This has been so horrible to watch. I feel sick that Amber's team's entire argument seems to be that if a man has a mental illness or addiction, he must be a violent monster and every accusation thrown at him is automatically true. Dr. Speigle disgusted me. A woman trying to control everything a man does is a noble victim working it out and if he wants to set boundaries or clear his name, he's just having a narcissistic temper tantrum?
This is teaching people HORRIBLE ideas about mental health and IPV. I am so grossed out and sad.

It doesn’t even make sense either because she’s known to do drugs, has two diagnoses and a clear alcohol dependency but somehow that’s completely acceptable and being ignored? I hope this turns the jury completely off because most people know someone with substance issues or depression/mental health struggles. They’re basically saying he can’t be a victim because he has these issues. But yet she has substance issues too and her behavior is noble and her memory is unimpaired? The hypocrisy is ridiculous.

YES! i too have found the addiction=violent abuser especially frustrating bc while there are addicts that lash out at others a large percentage of addicts are actually more self destructive than anything else. i think everything that has come out in the trial shows that he was more self destructive in his addiction. everything about AH's team's treatment of addiction, mental illness, and IPV was truly appalling.

As a psychiatrist, 25-50 mg of Seroquel is a very small dose and can be used off label as needed for anxiety. It is also used to help augment/support anti-depressants and can be taken by itself at doses of 300 mg or more as a mood stabilizer (for someone with bipolar). Seroquel for its primary purpose as an anti-psychotic is dosed up to 800 mg daily. The sedating mechanism of Seroquel at low doses is antihistamine aka like taking a Benadryl. The other medication that they reference, gabapentin (Neurontin) is taken by millions of people with diabetic neuropathy at doses of 1200 mg three times daily. Gabapentin is also used to treat anxiety with starting doses of 300 mg three times daily with many patient requiring 600 mg three times daily or more. Also, the kicker is gabapentin is commonly prescribed in the dose range that Mr. Depp was receiving as a treatment for ALCOHOL DEPENDENCE to help with withdrawal and cravings. Similar (questionable) story to theirs, but the cops arrested him and took him away, etc. I, of course, wondered if he was truly at fault, as I could not believe it (and still don't). The stories I heard from friends after the fact were much like watching this trial. He didn't work again for years. And I never really believed the whole TMZ/People/any other pub explanation anyway. It turned out there was a divorce about to begin and she used it in the proceedings. Again, I never bought any of it, and still don't. Though he is a BIG guy, and picturing him being violent is a scary thought, so I tend to lean in to "he didn't do it", but who knows? But it DID affect his career for atleast a decade. I felt bad for him. Most of Hollywood likely forgot about him after his meteoric rise. But there us no way to determine what "would gave been" had that not happened to someone one their way UP (like Amber). Easier to judge someone on their way down.... IMO, as one says!

I don't necessarily agree that accusation of DV is a definitive career ender, I mean look at Chris-whats-his-name that we know abused Rihanna. Hasn't ended his career from what I've been able to tell, and R Kelly went on for a very long time after it was known that he was up to some real shit. That said, in this case I absolutely agree that it had a big impact on his career, just don't agree with the statement that it's guaranteed to do so. I think the timing of Heard coming out made it more impactful than the typical case of allegations.

The problem with finding a comparison actor to Amber to show her losses is that there really is not one. Someone in a superhero movie that pulled big box office but was also the weakest link of the movie. The reviews of the movie at that time was that there was no chemistry between Amber and Mamoa and that her acting was lacking. Now try to think of another actor like that... the only thing close I get is Jar Jar Binks and he was yanked after the first movie too. The reality is that Mamoa carried that movie and her through the movie. She deserved the cut even without all this Depp drama because she simply was not good in the movie.

I was SA when I was 10 yrs old, and I remember every detail from every occurrence. I suffer from PTSD because of this. A smell will hit me and I will go stiff and cry uncontrollably. I can’t be held by my husband when we are laying in bed, I will go into a panic attack and will have to get up to take medicine to calm me. I flash back to being held down and unable to move. It’s now been 30 years and I still can’t speak in detail to what happened with falling apart. Neither can my family members who were also SA by the same person. None of us knew about the others until we were adults and none of us reported this because it was an older family member and we were afraid no one would believe us or that he would hurt us worse. So while watching AH on the stand I couldn’t believe a single word she said!!!

I was accused by his lawyer of being a liar...keep in mind I was 11. He got a 3year suspended sentence and has to stay 100 yards away for the rest of my life. It shows up on my police record to this day. I also found out he had more children after that with another stupid women who knew he had been charged for child molestation....one of them was a girl. ADHD SLP (Speech Language Pathologist) here. A few thoughts: I believe that JD has a stutter that may have been severe at one point. He appears to have had treatment though because he seems to be using Fluency Enhancing techniques such as: slower speech rate, relaxed breath patterns, pausing and thinking or slow, stretched speech. He could also have an Expressive Language Disorder that affects his syntax (sentence structure) or morphology (word forms). Same for allegedly having "lines fed to him through an earpiece." If he has impaired Working Memory, memorizing lines may be challenging even when sober. I do musical theater and it's really hard for me to remember lines (and I have two Masters Degrees!). I get so anxious and worried about messing up that i cannot settle into the character. Acting (well) is extremely difficult and you never want to be hung up on lines. Also, stuttering--a fluency disorder---and other speech/language disorders have nothing to do with intelligence. I'm fact, we all know that Emily is intelligent but she speaks very very fast, which an also be considered a fluency disorder called "cluttering." That's when words seem to "spill out" and is usually due forgetting to breath and "unusual" pauses be ause of the lack of inhaling enough while speaking. Kind of like a run-on sentence but with spoken language loL Just my two cents 🙂 p.s. So many words. My brain hurts. Is there a good graphic/chart that explains the order of testimony?

I have a mother who's sick too, she's a narcissistic pervert, who has bipolar crises. She made my life and my brother's life a hell, and she always succeeded to hide it from everyone. And when we asked for help, everybody rejected the fault to us not being good enough obedient children. I could never consider her like a mom. Those people can hide a lot of things for a long time, with you not even noticing it. And give the best image they could ever give for nobody to suspect them. She even told us that when my little brother will leave the house she will do humanitarian aid and help children in poor countries.
I'm really sad for her daughter who will unfortunately suffer a lot... Their's no doubt about it. Why children have to deal with this ? Like... We never wanted to have this kind of parents. And today we always ask ourselves why we didn't have better parents, or a better family.
Please, never believe an adult with the only reason "that he is" an adult, please, believe the children who tell you that they're being abused.
