It’s nice to sit with my feet up and watch Steve do all the work !! 😂
Every other UA-cam Mini restorer is currently sobbing behind their stripped knuckles 😂
Just like working on Australian cars, so nice to not have to deal with 50 years of salt ravaged corrosion! Great little project 👍
Lavori facili...alla portata di tutti...bello lavorare sulle mini😊
More like watching Blue Peter than a Mini subframe strip! never see one come apart without the use of hammers, saws, explosives...superb condition for it's age.Usually a case of bolts shearing off, seized parts, crud everywhere.Great project, look forward to future episodes
Yes we were fully expecting to get the power tools out. Amazing really and a credit to the warmer climate.
I'm jealous of how easily that subframe came apart! Recently did the same job on a completely solid rust-free Mk4 frame, but still had to use a grinder and deal with loads of stubborn fixings 😂
good video... regards from Chile! ... A Mini Fun
It’s amazing how easy that strip down was, you’ve got a gem of a car
Back in 1971 my 1963 Mini sub-frame came out just as easily. I hit it with a hammer and it fell out with most of the boot floor. The radius arms and all their fittings had dissolved as well.
Wonderful. Coming apart so easily and cleanly
Brilliant👍
Man I miss the sound of a good air impact in videos like this. Air tools make the job so much faster and smoother.
No Salt!
😎👍

Steve was the ado 16 ever fitted with a dry suspension and if so can i fit cones to my Wolseley 1155.
Im in Cape Town,SA
ive dismantled a lot of subframes and even a crashed 4 year old 91 Cooper that we stripped for parts wasnt that easy.
Looks like a typical strip down of a SA subframe.... we don't have real rust 😉
Rhodesian soil.....probably copper ore mixed with diamond dust!!
If that was my car i would be using every nut, bolt and washer for originality, labelling & bagging everything individually. If you can't reuse all that stuff from a rust free car, when can you!!!!
