I made my own cone compressor back in the ‘80s, replaced the worn out nylon cup which caused a drop in ride height (and squeaking). Wish I I’d have had the MED tool! Leyland Mini Clubman (Oz car), what a disaster of a car that was, only had to look at something and it would fall off!

Brilliant series, incredibly useful and full of handy tips. Talking of which…. Top arm pivot: you stretched he forward grease retaining ring over the arm casting until you had the arm, the spindles and the washers in place, and I expected you to show the ring being slipped off the arm and over the washer edges. But you didn’t. Did you forget to do/show this, or am I wrong?
And as regards the rose-jointed bottom arms, would you use these on a road car, or would they be too harsh and noisy? I love the precision and adjustability of a spherical bearing, but the rose-jointed Bilstein dampers I had (on a Chevette HS) were incredibly noisy. Drove me mad…

Just ordered my rear sway bar from MED based on the last video. Even cheaper than from KAD bug don’t tell them!

actually, if you're counting pennies the kad one is just under a quid cheaper lol.

    Great video 😊
Do you have the rubber boot for the rose joints and there is a tool for the installation?

Thanks Francisco. We do not run boots on these, as they're aimed for competition and trackday usage.

Have you posted the next video yet about the fitting the hubs, disc brakes to this sub frame prior to install?

Hi, great video to refer to when rebuilding a front subframe. Was the subframe powered coated or 2k painted?

We decided to paint it in 2K :)

Ravi , I've learnt from experience it is best to go the 2K route , although powder coating is usually cheaper and easier , it doesn't age well and can be a great nuisance as it is liable to chip and more awkward to remedy.

I found that fitting new cones and hi lo suspension it left no thread visible thus no adjustment? So basically my car sits really high on the front which apparently I'm told is normal with new cones? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Have you ever seen this issue?
