Thank you,Mr. Mauser for the videos. I was only three when the columbine incident occurred, and have recently started researching it. Glad to see you,as well as other families still out there sharing your stories. R.I.P Daniel.

Oh yeah, 14 years of speaking about the death of my son for popularity. Getting choked up nearly every time I speak to people. (I assume ur not a parent, so u wouldn't understand, would u?) 14 years of insulting email and hate mail from gun nuts, and even threats and a protest in front of my house. Yeah, right. U call attention to bullying, I call attention to our weak gun laws, the 10,000 gun murders every year, at a rate WAY above all other industrialized nations. It's shameful.

    Hello Mr. Mauser.
First things first, i want to let you know that you inspire me. You walk everyday in your sons shoes. I respect you.
I am currently working on a Columbine documentary about mental health. If you happen to see this comment, i would be honored to have you talk about Daniel.

Sir, you are a hero and warrior. Thank you for all that you've done in your 20 years of fighting for Daniel's legacy and for stronger gun laws. I believe that a change within the country about guns will come. You're truly doing the Lord's work. God bless you, and God rest Daniel's soul.
Columbine affected me deeply as a 12 year old kid. I cried my eyes out, even though I was in Arizona. I prayed no one else would ever have to go through another school shooting. But then Tucson happened, and Sandy Hook, and Stoneman Douglas, and VA Tech... and Pulse Nightclub. I got angry, and insanely sad. More needs to be done with federal and state gun laws.

Here's what I don't understand, guns have been around for a very long time, as have the laws pertaining to them, but why is it that in last few decades we have seen events like columbine, and sandy hook and the like. What happened? Why is this happening now and not before?

    • @Regolith

honestly we are just giving them more attention.

@Tom Mauser 1. Good evening sir, I am writing this message to you because I feel in the wake of this new shooting in orlando, I have felt the need to really inform some important people to me about gun laws, and you sir are one to me because columbine personally resonated with me not only because of the particular horrific nature of the crime but how "the killers" got ahold of the weapons used in the crime. I for one am against gun control in MOST aspects for this reason alone. INSANE, MURDEROUS people live in this world, like the boys that took your son, but lets just for a moment, think about if those bombs in the cafeteria blew up correctly according to their plan. Their intent was to slaughter as many people as possible, and the fact is if they worked on those bombs correctly they would have done more damage than those guns would ever do. This latest shooting? took place in a GUN-FREE zone. My ultimate point is, if a murderer is determined to do the work, what on earth would...

+Tom Mauser 2. earth would stop them from using household materials to create a weapon of mass destruction? A poison gas? Grenades? Knifes? the fact is, the U.S. is the largest industrialized country on earth and we have about 10,000 gun killings a year, however, per 100,000 people, we have the LEAST MURDERS OF ANY INDUSTRIALIZED NATION, Britain being one of the highest in "violent crime murders"(Knifes, Blunt Objects) and per 100,000 people, MORE THAN THE U.S.! And in Britain guns are illegal. I say this as a Brit myself, that you do not want what we have in england to happen to the U.S.. We have ZERO protection from crime here and it is extremely scary to live here in low income areas. I absolutley agree with getting rid of the gunshow loophole, i think we need to make sure you are not a loon before you buy a gun, but other than that, more gun control is not nessacary. I would rather have some responsible gun owners in my vicinity than a murderer with a gun and no one around to help.

+Brandon Cawley +Tom Mauser also as a side note I'd like to add I think is horrible that you have recieved hate mail and have had the grief of PROTESTS outside your abode. Truly sickening the world we live in. No one can have a respectful conversation anymore. One thing we do need more of, respectful conversation. God bless you and your family sir, your daughter is beautiful and i wish you a happier life in the road ahead, your son is in heaven looking down as we all take this life day by day.
