I assume the 40 series uses a bronze bushing on driven clutch also? mine came missing that part. not sure if it doesn't need one or I got shorted on Ebay deal

I have a manco 606 scorpion and the belt is alot more loose then 1/2 inch.Its got a good inch to inch and a half. The belts brand new and it is the correct 5959 belt. I'm thinking I need to replace the whole thing just because its still the original parts and have worn quite a bit.
BestowalPants Gaming yeah I had to pry mine out I’m doing a new engine with the old dingo go cart body and using the old torque converter it’s was a pain in the ass to get off
jack the car guy I use a rubber belt style oil filter wrench on just about anything like that and what the frame take the leverage on the handle. It keeps it from scratching and works great.
I am having trouble with my wheels spinning when in idle. It even wants to turn the wheels when I pull the starter cord. This is my second torque converter and still can't seem to figure out how to get the belt to spin freely until more RPMs are applied. You have the same go kart that I have. I bought a new torque coverter 30 series and it comes with a mounting plate. I don't see a mounting plate on my kart. I don't see a mounting plate on yours either. Did I get the wrong one?
I bought a new belt for my manco conquest fox. It has the subaru ex13 motor. The belt doesn't have that play in it! Is there anything else I can adjust to give it that play in it?
I'm doing a Hammerhead Mudhead with no reverse! It has a steel tab on the bottom and I was trying to see if it went inside or outside of the cover! This one is newer and has a different mounting tabs all together. So no help for what I needed, but very helpful info on the converter clutch! Thanks for posting this!
Hi l just bought a new dongfang captian go kart my kids used it a few times and the pully broke it look like the alignment is off set just a little when looking at it in line how can you adjust it?

How do you remove the top clutch cover? When I use my socket set to try the entire thing spins and the bolt doesn't budge.

late reply, but the answer is you put a flat head screwdriver in the gap area of the washer.
mine doesn't have a brass bushing it is a bearing and it's hard getting the belt on.

Use the idle screw... It needs to be turned up
Along with the gas pedal stopper. Each might be different mine is a 10mm.
How do keep the clutch from spinning?
I use a strap wrench
vise grips on the shaft or pull the cord
