This definitely helped! Today my centrifugal clutch completely fell apart and I lost alot of the parts, this kit coming WITH all the bolts is great cause now I don't have to go look for bolts at the store and such, also, the chain tensioner spring fell apart too, so im glad to see I can also eliminate the need for that
I was thinking of cutting the plate but wasn’t sure if I’d ruin it but now I see it looks good too
Mines on its way, looking forward to a good install. Thanks!
Oh dang, just catching your channel friend. I'm very much into this stuff.
I've got the home lineup of Coleman starting to buy a few trail master these Baja's look pretty nice might have to get one now
Good job. You should align the back of the backing plates. Although it looks flat, it has a 2.5 degree taper on the inside. Run a straight edge across both back sides of the backing plates of driven and driver clutch and look for light.
Great tips, I'm getting an exact one like that with a predator engine (420) and hopefully some performance parts like air filter and exhaust.
Steel bolt should somewhat oxidize in the aluminum a little. I do the blue locktite just because I'm there and figure it really 100% won't hurt it. I'd be more concerned about lopping off all that plate but honestly, I've seen it done numerous times and it seems fine. You try those super 30 series yet? Dang brother! They ought to sell that thing with a small can of it! Stick city if you don't, I used a little red sticky grease (very little) and got a good result too. Nice job.
It helped me! U a good man!!!! Bless you mate
Excellent vid my friend. Thank you.🇺🇸
“Give it a couple good ugga duggas” keep coming back to this video just for that line 😂
Where do you get the rubber mat? Is it specifically for that purpose? I could not find that thicker locking ring on tractor supply. Not sure what it is called, so searching is not finding it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Very helpful demonstration. Thank you for excellent tips. Thumbs up! I like that diamond plate on the front of the frame.
A skill saw with a regular carbide blade will but any aluminum with no problem and still cut wood like nothing happened. I learned that when i needed to cut some inch plate. A saw will cut it like butter.
Another secret use the jack shaft plate it came with and add Shims on shaft to line both up about 8 machine shims
awesome video man
Finally, a video that explains how to do this job RIGHT! Did you increase the top speed with this mod? Thanks for taking the time to share. Sub = EARNED!
Yes I did...It will run about 50mph with stock baja warrior gearing
Will this get me any more top speed or is really just for torque? I’m about 225 and my bike seems to hit the governor before my liking.
Here I am over a year later finally installing the torque converter.
Thanks for the video, I have a problem hope anybody can help.
I put a converter on a Baja Warrior. If I do it the way it's done in this video my
front sprocket is not in line with my rear sprocket. The chain wears the inside of the front sprocket.
So I put a space on to move the front sprocket out. Now the chain works fine, but when I align
the two inside belt plates I don't have enough drive shaft left to mount the hub.
What am I missing?
Thanks
WOW! What camera are you using the quality is awesome!
I have a Baja 200 what Bullet Line converter do I buy? Thanks for the info and the great video.
What model or brand torque converter is this I have the exact same bike and I want to order the exact same one as you
Where did u get the rubber mat??
Are you running a governor still and what speed are you hitting
Where can I find those headlights or a light bar that'll fit the bike
Great vide
By chance where did you get those foot pegs ?
Where do you get the rubber mat for under the engine?
So to anyone doing these mods I just gotta say after doing them all myself. U have to cut a couple brackets off so you’re gonna want to grind those down smooth and paint the bike in those spots so you’re gonna have to take the engine loose to paint that well. Shaving down the key way is simple enough if you have the right tools but why isn’t it shaved from the factory? Once u cut the plate u can’t return it so if the clutch blows apart in less than an hour like mine did then you’re screwed and you’ll have to just buy a new one and return the broken pieces silently. So far I’m not impressed and between ordering that stupid lug nut and all the modifications I was unaware of it’s been a week of working on it when I can and now that the clutch broke it’s gonna be at least another week. It’s not ‘simple’ it’s not ‘easy’ it’s a giant PITA and the parts aren’t made well. The belt broke when the clutch flew apart in less than an hour. Not sure what else to say but good luck to all of you. I’ve been working on cars for years and I’ve never seen a kit that claims to fit be such a horrendous fit and then fails first day? Bad quality control, bad manufacturing, straight up. Sure if this guy has done a few before at least it didn’t frustrate him. I assure you the first one you do will be extremely frustrating, even to a level headed person that does similar things all the time. I’ve built several bikes with different motors, have quite a bit of experience, my father in law is an aircraft mechanic. Both of us looked at this thing as cheap Chinese crap that wasn’t made right in the first place. When the clutch blew apart we both just looked at each other and didn’t even say anything. We knew something wasn’t right with it. Should’ve just bought a new centrifugal clutch!!
Where did you buy the foot pegs
How do you take the governor off
What does that battery pad operate
Can anyone help me out? So I followed UA-cam videos working on my Baja 200 warrior mini bike. I’m not sure why my bike won’t turn on but it sounds like it wants to? I also have a torque converter. I’m building this on my own any ideas I can try?
Hey I am trying to do this I stall onto my son's warrior. The drive shaft is different. I am not mechanically inclined..I'm more tarted then smart when it comes to this. Can someone please help. I can't fit the piece on
Like a boss!
Do you have a link to the one you used looks rigid and I cannot find it online.
Where you get them lights from
what pin are you talking about ?
Fk yeah thanks this video helped me out a lot
Hey my shaft looks nothing like yours (pause) mine looks like a nut goes on there any clues on what I can do ?
Where is kit from
What kind of rubber piece is that and where do you get it? I had a blaster 2 seater kart come with that rubber under the engine and always wanted more of thoes for other bikes an karts
Just a rubber mat like shop mat or mud flaps work good now if you want to go old school leather works 2 my dads pan head has leather everywhere
Amazon..Look up anti vibration rubber motor mounts..Thin industrial rubber matt works well also!
Cutting the plate off makes sense
Have you ever done one on a Massimo warrior 200, running into problems?
I'm doing one today on the massimo mb 200. Jackshaft sprocket doesn't line up with rear wheel sprocket. No sure what to do bout this
I bought a 63$ torque converter I hope it will be alright on my 196cc mini bike lol
Will this method work on a Massimo mb200s?
That's basically what this is, I think. My Massimo is a Warrior and the "title" says MB200. The only caveat here is that he's using a Predator engine and the shaft is different on the stock 196. The 196 uses an external thread shaft (male), so the bolt that holds the drive sprocket on can't work. I'm in the process of installing a TC on mine, and have found some people using a long shank lug nut off of go powersports to bolt the sprocket on.
Can you do the same on BT 200 Coleman
Not a hundred percent sure but I'm sure this method will work for many others
what about the cover. how did you deal with that frame issue
will this install be the same for the Massimo mb200? i am buying 2 bikes and want them to run in sand. I want the power for the small dunes in glamis.
Did this but the tire is spinning with the belt
Nice presentation, thanks!
Cutting the backing plate like this removes one of the four mounting tabs for the torque converter cover. Does the plastic cover stay on OK with only three mounting tabs?
Should have done a demo and a burnout to see if it really can
where did you get the rubber pad ?
@@thisthatgarage5073 got a link for the pad , also where did you get the bracket for the lights ?
Roll tide from Tuscaloosa Al!
New too bikelife check me out
Another covic 19 family spread 😮.
I did exactly what you did a year ago! Great video brother. I didn't want to alter my frame so I cut the back plate of the torque converter.
