Hey man, what altitude are you at and what jet size did you put in the carb? I tried taking my go kart up to an area where it was 6000 altitude and the engine kept dying.

Most definitely..do a torque converter instead of centrifugal clutch tho. Mines completely stock and hauls my 200lb self around..

150$ ebay shocks for the front and rear completely changed the ride quality on my yerf dog. I can fly through my field now and the shocks just soak it up. Highly recommend some upgraded shocks, you wont regret it.
how do i alight the converter sprocket with the gear? and what size bolts do i need to secure the gear?

Just make another engine plate that matches the holes and drill out the existing one. Right over the top bro

Use your welder to cut the cable just one quick zap and itll burn through and weld/melt the strands of cable together so theyll never unravel.
To keep the frame stock would I have to put a different exhaust and air filter on it ?
I have one with the stock engine. There is a wire that comes out of it. Is that for the a light?

I'm thinking of putting a DuroMax 420cc 16hp engine with a 40 series torque converter on an old 2 seater yerf dog frame. Do you think this will fit? I'm not too experienced with karts so any help/advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You can make anything fit with a welder..lol..

Great job on the video! Question, I inherited a different model yerf dog with a 420 predator installed. the torque converter is facing inward toward the motor. Is this ever acceptable or should it be facing out?. Just learning.. Also, when we pull start this it engages the wheels and wants to launch. Any advice on fixing this?
I'm not exactly sure what you mean when you say the TC is facing inwards but for the launching problem I'd say to turn the idle down

Hey man is that 420 governed? I’ve got the exact same cart that I swapped a Honda gx390 onto with a 40 series torque converter but it’s a slouch.
Try regearing it.

There is no adjustment to the drum. And its shutting off because that tecumseh needs a new carb. Replace the engine with a new 212cc predator. You're gonna be much happier.

We have a spider box with a predator 420 and a very very good torque converter and a lift bout to get some mud tires it’s not fast but it’s made for off roads and rocks because I live in nc so it’s hilly

40 series to be safe, 30 series to be risky both work.

Dont waste your money on a 30 series. Go with the 40 and be happy. Your just gonna have to trust me on this.

what torque converter did you use? i have the 420 cc predator. and tue Yerf dog . just needs a list of parts you used to get the yerf dog running.
Tighten the front shocks. Look at that camber angle
