Ordered a ZV-e10 and Sigma 30mm today. Did a lot research and watched a ton of vids, but this video makes me feel the most confident about my purchase.
Do you think if I bought this combo for my teenager would take great photos and videos when taking photos for car enthusiasts? My son loves to take photos and video cars both inside and outside of showrooms.
This is definitely a great lens, I haven’t personally used it but I know a couple guys who have it and love it. Definitely a solid lens, but a lot more expensive. The 30mm is a solid way to get the pro look with one lens for cheap. And personally I’d rather have a set of primes like the 16, 30, 56 sigmas rather than a zoom for filmmaking. But if you’re just shooting travel films and things like that, an 18-35 could definitely make more sense.
I just got my ZV-E10 about two weeks sgo w/o the kit lens. Instead, I got a Viltrox 20mm f/2.8 and I love it! I definitely plan on getting a Sigma as well!
Hi! I could really use some help here, as i am still stuck with my kit lens and ZV-E10. My content is mostly taking indoor videos of me playing guitar (vertically recorded), you can see the type of my videos on my channel. Would like to upgrade to some decent, not very expensive lens (up to 400E) that can record nice videos with low light (again, vertical) and that have some nice bookeh option. I appreciate any advice and help!
You got it my guy My recommendation is 100% the sigma 30mm f1.4 for you, the lens I demoed in this video. I did another video on how to get solid footage from the kit lens, I’ll drop a link for you bc the principles apply for either lens 😉 CINEMATIC Footage on a Budget - Sony ZV-e10 Kit Lens ua-cam.com/video/H7yiEVhWF0o/v-deo.html
@@VisionaryFilmStudios wow, thank you! Didnt expect your answer to be so fast and useful, i will definitely subscribe to your channel and try to learn stuff. But, i do have few more questions. For my indoor guitar videos, camera is set up to 2m from me (thats the far as it can go without slamming the wall). Since there is no zoom in and out (actually zoom out might be issue), do you think that from this distance (up to 2mm) i would be able to fit into the vertical screen like i do nop with my kit lens in my videos so far? Sorry for having these questions, they might be funny for you, but yeah, im quite an amateur looking for improving my content.
So glad you’re enjoying the videos! In this video I break down the color profile settings I use at 3:21: Cinematic Filmmaking on the Sony ZVe10 in 2024 ua-cam.com/video/Zr91Tiw1qrM/v-deo.html Some other good info in that video too 😄 hope that helps! Let me know if you have other questions. I occasionally use slog3, but not often. I wouldn’t probably recommend it when you’re first getting started. Working on a video about it right now though actually, so stay tuned to the channel for it!
@@VisionaryFilmStudios goodday sir i watch all your video's and its amazing. I have another question. If you choose a beginner camera between Sigma 23 f1.2 vs Sigma 30mm f1.4 what will u choose and why?
I think either lens will treat you really well! It does depend on what you’re shootings a bit, but if it were me and I already had the 56mm, I’d probably get the 16mm so I could switch back and forth between the wide angle and some tighter shots. But then again I had all three when I shot My Story, the short film I made with the ZV-e10, and I only used the 30mm and 56mm. At the end of the day, I don’t think there’s a wrong decision though, either lens will be a great addition to your kit 😉
Hii need u r help... I buy sigma 56 mm lens for Sony zve10.. But while attaching the 56mm lens to Sony zve10.. Getting error. Lens not supported or not attached properly.. So please provide resolution for this
A couple ideas to try for you. Take a dry rage and wipe off the mounting points on the men’s and the camera. Maybe there’s some dust or something blocking the connection. After attaching the lens, try and wiggle the lens around a little bit after it connects into place. Don’t put too much pressure on the connection, but just see if a little pressure can get it to connect. I assume you’ve tried this, but turning the camera off and on again is never a bad idea. If it’s still not working, and you’ve tried googling the problem for a fix, you might try returning the lens for a refund and re purchasing another unit. You could try the same thing with the camera. It’s always possible that you got a faulty unit. Hope this helps 😄

your video is the best one ive seen on lenses!!! 😁
Appreciate the kind words friend ☺️🙌🏻
Straight forward pros and cons, personal opinion, broad truth, amazing video !
Appreciate the support friend!! 🙌🏻🔥
you should mention the crop factor would give you the equivalent of a 45mm on the 30mm
What about a zoom lens like the sigma art series 18-35 1.8? I was thinking of that as a do it all lens.

What do you recommend for real estate photos and video? Any one lens that does it all?
I’d grab the Tamron 11-20 if it were me 😉
Which one to buy? Sigma 30 mm 1.4 or sony 35 mm 1.8 oss?
@@leftoverofyesterdays3787 I’d get the sigma 😉
