Obviously hes being paid but he did exactly what every celebrity should do in this situation. He clearly hasn't forgotten why he's so successful. It's due as much to his fans as his own skill. Many actors don't appreciate their fans and its awesome when people like him do. He reminds me of martin kove the way he interacts with fans.
Robert looks good for his age! You can tell he takes care of himself! Seems like a really cool guy! Nobody plays the Freddy character like him or ever will!
Robert Englund is the man! Underrated actor by far. Just an all around awesome guy. He's a fantastic storyteller. Also, I'm jealous! I've never gotten to meet him but I want too soo bad. Freddy is the best horror character ever! Don't get me wrong, I love Jason and Michael but they pale in comparison to the Legend that is Freddy Krueger! The first movie I was ever taken to at the Theater was A Nightmare On Elm Street IV. I'm 31 now and I believe that movie came out in 1988, I was born in December of 82, so yeah, I was like 5 and a half or so haha! Had already seen his previous movies and I begged my aunt and uncle to take me haha.
No, DVDs were first sold in 1997, and back then, of course, the players were VERY expensive, so basically nobody had them. I also first got a DVD player in 2000, but it wasn't a Playstation 2, which probably didn't come with the voucher for several free movies that I got with my DVD player.
DVDs came out in 1997 but I honestly don’t remember hearing about DVD until 1999.I watched my first DVD on my PS2 around 2001!It was Blow with Johnny Depp!
Yeah, Englund's mistaken. DVDs were '97 as the others said. "New Nightmare" never came out on DVD until that New Line box set in 1999. It was just VHS and laserdisc before that. That standee was definitely for video stores in '95 (New Nightmare came out in theaters October '94) and I know cause I have one. It fell apart in my recent move, but I've got him.
He is awesome! Met him a month ago...he signed my copy of his book and we talked about Andy Kaufman, plus I gave him a box of Insomnia Cookies to be a little clever! Luckily he got the joke!
Lol I was just watching a video of him signing a supposed "original" glove from the first 2 movies and he didnt even care. You brought him something hes never seen before and it's a cardboard cutout and he went nuts over it! I love it 🤣🤣🤣
Met him at FanExpo Toronto in August 2014. He is such a nice guy. He takes the time to genuinely engage with all of his fans. We talked a bit about his early years as a stage actor and that he performed at the Stratford Shakespeare festival here in Ontario, Canada.
I'd like to meet him one day before it's too late. I had wanted to meet Wes as well but that unfortunately couldn't happen. At that time was Robert charging for every single thing you wanted signed?
I hear ya bro! Missed Wes myself. I honestly don’t remember, but yeah I think so. If you get the chance, I recommend it, as he really is the best with his fans!
V was so good. Robert seems so down to Earth. 🖤 I wish I could get a chance to meet him one day! I bet I won't be bumping into him anytime soon since I'm in Macon, GA + Covid. Ughhhh🤦
Robert Englund is one of the nicest people ever
Nice I Love Him As Freddy Krueger Big Time!
He’s just real . One of the most humble down to earth celebs .
Have to agree. I met him in London. He totally was in charachter and was totally into it.
Definitely true. Real nice man! But then when you get back home and go to sleep, you get a visit! A reeeel unpleasant visit!
Ironically he plays one of the most evil movie monsters

Met him twice.
Signed all 7 posters, and glove!!! Great guy! Words cant describe, but im extremely grateful to have had the privilege.
Robert looks good for his age! You can tell he takes care of himself! Seems like a really cool guy! Nobody plays the Freddy character like him or ever will!
mad respect that he takes some time to listen to each fan and gives personal stories and life xp...
Such an amazing talent and such a warm, awesome guy. He definitely
deserves his eternal spot in the horror movie pantheon.

robert englund is such good person !!!
Met him last month in orlando, he really is a stand up guy.
It's crazy how much time he spends with everyone.
He knows he would be nothing without his fans, and he shows his appreciation. Many actors could learn a thing or too from him.
One of the most iconic monsters, is one of the must iconic gentlemen 🖤
Every single clip he’s a really nice guy. True gentleman.
Awesome 👏 bravo 🙌
He's an absolute gent!
What a nice guy.
What a wonderful guy Robert is to his fans.
Wow! ..this is such a incredible moment to share🥰

1994 I honestly don't think DVDs were out yet, not for another few years. Hell,my first DVD player was a PS2 and that was in 2000!

There is only one. He is Freddy.

Robert like you all Nightmare on Elm Street movies
This was so fun to watch. Thank you for sharing it!
LEGEND . U guys r very lucky
I went to the movies in 1984 when night mare on elm street was at the theatre I was 11 years old great movie
Nicest celeb I ever met. All he did was ask people questions about themselves.
DVDs in 94?? mmm not sure about that lol I remember myself renting it on vhs!
wow thats awesome
I love Robert. I think he's a bit off w/the timeline of VHS/DVD. In 94/95 I'm pretty sure VHS was still prevalent.
He may have been thinking of Laserdisc, lol
What a fucking pro.
Meeting him in July in London 😁
The Freddy role gave him success and a real fan base. But maybe denied him from an Oscar. Because he got typecast to horror films.
Let it dry, glad he said it.
What a legend ❤❤❤
I would love to get his book
Reading it now, it's great. Really interesting look behind the scenes of movies and TV in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
That was too cool!
I'd like to meet him one day before it's too late. I had wanted to meet Wes as well but that unfortunately couldn't happen. At that time was Robert charging for every single thing you wanted signed?

Tell us if you did!
I have that in my bedroom.
Ugh, I would love to meet Robert!
I am a awesome fan of Robert England love all the Freddy Krueger’s Nightmare.
So much that you can´t even write his name correctly.
RobertEnglund.com is his official website
telling my kids that this is jesus christ
same tbh
That camera zoom is so noisy
7:21 I guess we know who the 2 dislikers of the video are now.
A $100,00.00 sharpie marker. Lol
Where can I find the book
He was confused..."in '94 we were already into DVD'S "...nope lol
Brian Skeggs about 5 years off lol
Yeah, DVD didn't start becoming popular until like 1999 or 2000.
He's likely thinking about laserdiscs
They first came out in '96, so pretty close.
Roberto is wrong.... DVD did not hit until 1997!
I wonder what would happen if someone brought a V poster?
Like BTS? What does Robert Englund signing Freddy's crotch have to do with KPop?
@@thatonemoth11 V=early 1980s sci-fi series that was AWESOME. He played a good guy.
V was so good. Robert seems so down to Earth. 🖤 I wish I could get a chance to meet him one day! I bet I won't be bumping into him anytime soon since I'm in Macon, GA + Covid. Ughhhh🤦
Не знал што он умеет так рисовать красива❤🎉
you should have given it to him...
Best Ever Epic Millennial come on man... you’re going there to get it signed, not to give it away
Vhs
LANE
Its damn shame he's not making more Freddies right now... this current horror generation is pathetic.
They're weren't DVDs in 1994. What the hell is he talking about.
DVDs didn't exist in '94, old man. 😜
