+Eliot McCann I loved him in V, I thought Willie was so adorable. To think he went on to play someone as evil as Freddy equally as brilliantly, is testament to his talent.
I can only seem to find one episode on Amazon streaming, it's really weird. What sucks is it was on Hulu under Anchor Bay until about three months ago. Agh!
+Mick Garris Interviews --great interview because it's nice to see some deep background other than the Elm street stuff. I met him and got his autograph here in Dallas, Tx in 2014 at Texas Frightmare Weekend along with the other cast members from Nightmare as well. I felt bad for him because EVERYBODY wanted him to do the Freddy voice and I was thinking " damn give the guy a break "....Lol
Please Robert, give us just one more Freddy movie! But instead of a prequel, just continue off where either Freddy's Dead or Freddy Vs. Jason left off. That way we can get some nice special effects & kills in some trippy ass dream lands. It would be incredible to have Robert playing Freddy in 2015, because there's so much that can be done now with film that they may have not been able to pull off in the 80's & 90's. Your never too old to play Freddy Robert! You're in great shape for you're age, and with the Freddy make-up on you can't even tell that you aged. We know this for a fact because you put the make-up on last year for a Comic-Con type event and you still pulled it off perfectly.
@@davidarcudi230 I know. The Comment that I left was from 2015, a few years before Robert appeared on The Goldberg’s. It was great to see him reprise Freddy. But, I wanna see him do an actual Freddy movie.
@@carabeck Most of the Nightmare On Elm Street films, were done without Wes Craven. The only ones that he did with Wes, were Parts 1 & 3, and New Nightmare. Wes had no involvement with any of the other films.
Theatre Will always open you up to any character. It's the most mind opening way to form a true actor. Not just for film but for something truly artistic.
The first time I saw who played Freddy I was surprised at how personable looking this actor was after that utterly terrifying figure in the original NOES. I knew he was a professional seeing that newspaper pic of him.
You know, I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I find that Robert has a bit of a resemblance to Donald Pleasance, who knows maybe he could’ve made a great Loomis for a Halloween remake
Not sure you'll even see this Mick but I'm a writer and producer. Finally started to follow my dreams in the last 3 years and I'm producing my first movie that comes out in October called GO AWAY. It would mean alot if you checked the trailer out sometime. Thank you for these post mortem episodes they've been like my study guide these last couple years.
Well, I hope you've been listening to our podcast version of POST MORTEM, which is in its fourth year. We've had guests from Stephen King to Guillermo del Toro to you name it. Check it out on any podcast app.
My dad loved V . I still never seen it . I was born 1981 My sister scared me 1985. I was 5 years old going to be 6 .she asked if I wanted to watch a movie . Stopped Freddy when he was getting ready to attack Tina: From this point the fear got me to really loving Freddy.
After hearing him here, I can COMPLETELY understand why he was picked to be The Riddler on The Batman. (I really liked that show… and he was actually pretty intimidating!)
1.....2.......coming 4 u. Robert England, wot a guy, gr8 actor & gentleman, no one could ever play freddy like him & he would stil do a gr8 job playing freddy 4 years 2 come, please please Robert.
Love you Mr. Englund!!!! Whether he was Willie (was that his name?) the alien in V...or as THE ultimate killer......strange to have folks love you for killing people...ha. Come on Robert....one more play as Freddy???
Robert is a great supporter of indie film and he kindly did the trailer for my first ever film Attic Entity . Check it out ua-cam.com/video/As1Y4lDEdpw/v-deo.html Also you can find my film on the Kishere Film Channel! Mr Englund is a nice dude :)
2010 Elm Street.... another remake abomination. Elm Street 2-6 were garbage. Freddy is only Freddy if he’s a psychopath killer with supernatural abilities to scare someone to death with their own fears- being stalked by a burned man with knifes for fingers that knows your name...
Robert Englund is the ONLY Freddy! :)
Deadliest Chic87 agreed
LizIsMis glad you do!
agreed! only one freddy and it's robert
Deadliest Chic87 I wanted to like the reboot , but it wasn't the Freddy we fell in love with
Yep
The passionate way he talks about acting is amazing
First saw Englund in the miniseries "V" as Willie, and thought he was marvellous. His turn as Freddy was such a shock. Superb and underrated actor.
+Eliot McCann I loved him in V, I thought Willie was so adorable. To think he went on to play someone as evil as Freddy equally as brilliantly, is testament to his talent.
So glad you're enjoying them!
Mick Garris Interviews
Did you know you can't find Masters of Horror on either Hulu or Netflix? I dunno what's up with that man.
Hmmmm... I think it's on Amazon Prime. Or it was not long ago...
I can only seem to find one episode on Amazon streaming, it's really weird. What sucks is it was on Hulu under Anchor Bay until about three months ago. Agh!
Oh, I would love to see it if it's available there and here.
Robert is awesome, so likeable and so chatty! Thank you for these interviews, they're really enjoyable! :)
This channel deserves more
Oh shit, Robert Englund like that herb! 3:42 minutes in was a kind of a shock to hear.
Well, just a hint here, but there's a chance we'll do more in the near future. Glad these interviews have found a home around the world!

Robert Englund kicks ass
976 evil was the sickest movie of the eighties totally underrated.
a true gentleman a legend & icon need I say more
Robert Englund seems a great guy and he's a great actor. He should do a tv show (Drama, horror, whatever) and win at least one Emmy.
I LOVED him as the phantom!! It was like freddy kruger is the phantom. Love him!!

He did play Freddy on the Goldbergs
Not without western craven so will never happen

Im actually stunned he hasnt been pulled into one more film, he seems willing to do it but it must be something he cant talk about
An incredible man and an amazing interview.
I enjoyed it a lot.
Love Robert Englund, great interview.
what a brilliant series. Great work Mick
What made the animated Justice League series so awesome was Robert playing Felix Faust in it!
Robert you are my hero
My favorite Robert Englund roles are the ones where he's some random aging scientist. He's probably the best in those typecasts.
You can see Freddy in his eyes. Robert has such an interesting face.
Mick garris such a awesome interviewer and robert englund is classy as always :)
Theatre Will always open you up to any character. It's the most mind opening way to form a true actor. Not just for film but for something truly artistic.
It aint freddy if it aint robert. Nobody can play freddy like this man
0:22 You can just see that Robert’s thinking ‘Eight...’

Freddy about that 420 life 😂
He worked in Michigan, at my alma mater. :)
Freddy is scary and funny in his movies, that's why he's so famous
Robert rules.
Mick, you should do more interviews with actors and directors...you're a great interviewer
