  • this is part 2 to our reaction to a manila slum video that was uploaded by a foreigner and we will see if its really dangerous there or weather its welcome in true filipino traditions. Something tells me this so called slum as he puts it is very safe and he would of been welcomed in with open arms to there community.
    At the end of this vlog we sit and have a little analyse and give our thoughts and opinions on parts of this vlog and talk about weather the title is mis leading or not.
    Generally speaking we have never felt unsafe or that a particular place we have been is dangerous so be sure to let us know your thoughts on this video

    Filipinos might be poor in material things but very rich in spirits. When heart is filled with love it could overflow to the people around you. Their life isn't selfish no matter how little they've got. Anyway, this is a nice reaction video and keep doing this. More power xx

    You was right to show this, but you are completely right what you sat .when you have never had something you don't miss it. Imagine not hearing the news around you or seeing Tv ,that's a stress relief in it's self.

    I think he was humbled, but maybe did not express himself in the most empathetic or articulate way. I felt like he was overwhelmed when he said, "Okay, let's get out of here." Sometimes witnessing that kind of level of poverty being from western developed country can be a shock to the senses. I was born an raised in a middle/ working class suburb of Los Angeles. Sometimes saw or visited poorer hoods in L.A., but upon seeing my first real slums in Tijuana, Mexico it was utterly shocking and eye-opener. You cannot be humbled or at least be aware of a level of poverty so below poverty levels in the U.S. and other developed western nations.
    Watching this video from the comfort of our air-conditioned homes and apartments with hot& cold running water, cable tv & internet service eating a pint of gourmet ice cream...and all other comforts, it easy to criticize someone in a video who's experiencing it first hand, all his senses immersed in that place seeing real people dealing with their reality. No, I sure he felt very humbled and just needed to leave to catch his emotional breath and process it all. You just don't know. He might have gone off and cried at what he just experienced. Props to the guy for actually going to a place most tourists would avoid. He's a traveller and wants to learn and experience things. I do agree the title was "click bait". We shouldn't be afriad to say people are poor and poverty. Those people know the reality of their situation and they are tough just surviving. That doesn't hurt their feelings. They have the spirit to make the best of what they have and maybe someday make it out and have a better life. It's only that the opportunity to improve oneself in the Philippines may be very limited for most poor people.. Some people living at the poverty line in the U.S. have a car and gameboys, two tv's in the house and bags of clothing. Some poor people don't value the few opportunities available to them in the U.S. Free public education even in the worst areas of the U.S. in the Philippines, you have pay feed. You ask parent in that alum, and will tell you education is important for their kids if they could afford it.

      How can someone say that place be dangerous? The trash is their means to earn a living. The real dangerous places are the plush casinos and hotels where illegal activities abound, people are killed or do suicide.

    If you can find it I would recommend watching BBC 'Toughest place to be bus driver'. A London bus driver lives with a Manila jeepney driver and then drives his Jeepney. It is an eye opener on life in Manila. The bus driver had nothing but respect for the Jeepney driver and how he feeds his family. I watched it before I moved here. ❤️

    I don’t think he was humbled. He was there and there only for one reason and titled his vlog as such for clickbait/engagement/comments. You two nailed it on the head 💯

      unfortunatley, we agree. it worked he got the views but that is why it is important to address it. i cant imagine what his comments are like under the video, but we hope this video is found too, so people can see the differene in opinion.

    Agree. I've known wealthy folks who are plain miserable, I've known some who got the material goods they have because they are opportunistic scumbags. I've also known folks who were considered dirt poor, and were the people I trusted and respected most. Don't judge someone by materialistic gain, nor education. That's just my experience though.

    His clickbait title rubbed me the wrong way. His observation that all some need is a roof, food & water to be happy was incomplete. He didn't say family and love - as you guys pointed out, those are true wealth. But I do think the widening wealth gap in the PH is problematic. - WW

    • @CoshanUncharted
      @CoshanUncharted  3 роки тому

      It rubbed us up the wrong way to, especially in the 1st vlog we got angry right at the start of part 1 when he called this place a slum in a very rude way. Every country does has its problems with money gaps even in the UK

      Could not agree more! This comment sums it up perfectly, western countries like europe and america canada ect have become very very materialistic, luckily the philippines still has true values

      I read this somewhere, it all boils down to balance. I think it's from the book called you were born rich. Essentially, a balanced life. Many rich folks attained one component of it, which is wealth. But not the other part. And and in this video.. assuming, happiness/family.. personal well being has been attained, they didn't have the balance of weath.

    No he was not humbled, but he was very pleased with himself on the clickbaity title and with his conclusion.
    He sounded middle eastern, possibly israeli or gulf state. Also i think this guy travels to poor countries to showcase those country's poor areas to boost his ego because the poor in his country don't live in hovels.
