Blue Lagoon Beach In Pagudpud - Our First Disappointing Experience

  • Today we visited the popular beach called blue lagoon in pagudpud. We had a rough idea of what blue lagoon would look like and how amazing it would be with beautiful blue water and crystal clear sands like you see all around the philippines. This was very different from what we actually see, we see a largely ruined beach that had been dug up with trees cut down and removed and lots of rocks piled up. While the bright blue water lived up to its reputation the beach fell short of what we was expecting.
It became apparent that it was the building of the area which has given quite a disappointing view of blue lagoon, i think we just may have been a few years late of visiting this famous beach in its prime.
This type of vlog is the very 1st time we have felt a little disappointed in visiting a place and its only right that we also share this with you giving our honest reactions and feelings.

Pagudpud stuck to my memory as "Paradise". I was there as a small kid. First and last time. I'm 45 now so you can imagine that the Pagudpud Im talking about was pristine, natural beauty, and super duper windy. Now, yes I may feel sad if I don't experience my childhood paradise but again, nothing stays the same. Once man sets foot, changes are bound to happen. Hopefully it'll be something beautiful.

Big commercial businesses almost always ruin nature for the sake of money. Appreciate both of your honesty. The world needs more honest people. Can’t wait your return back to your second home in the Philippines.

Just been there yesterday, water was cold for me even if it is 10 am before lunch, just had a knee dip haha, but loved the soft sand, the surroundings can have an improvement, mostly the toilets and showers for the local tourists which doesn't book hotels.nice for photos and sightseeing, you do have a point in your opinion about the beach,so far Boracay was still my fave beach as of now😃my next bucket list is the AMANPULO been saving for a long time till now for it.

I went to Pagudpud 6 or 7 years ago. They were still on the process of building those concrete buildings by the beach. I remember I didn’t enjoy much the water coz of the sudden drop from shallow to deep (not the sea’s fault of course 😂) but I did enjoy the sceneries on our drive through of the whole area of Pagudpod. I did love swimming at the falls tho, forgot the name.

Honesty is the best policy. Since your posted vlog happened in the past, I’m wondering if there have been changes done during the Covid period.

Taho should be mixed thoroughly to get its true flavor before you eat it. It is made up of tofu, a product of soy bean. sago pearls or like tapioca pearls, and the syrup which is made of brown sugar or what we call "arnibal" in the local dialect.

My guess is the reason why they were digging up parts of the beach is for road expansion project. I noticed several heavy equipments that you passed by.

We drove up there a few years ago, it was storming, no one around still had to pay an entrance fee. We went to Hannahs to enquire about a room, the internet was down, T.V. was down, they only had backup electricity on, everything was pretty much closed because of a incoming tropical depression but they still wanted us to pay full price. There was some pretty scenery but nothing that was better or even on par with other locations...we turned around & drove back to La Union the same day. Disappointing, don't think we would go back. With over 7500 islands each spot gets one chance to impress if they want visitors to return & this was a no for us.

Hi! I haven't seen your videos in awhile since you got back home from lockdown. UA-cam has stopped pushing your videos so I didn't know whether you guys were still creating content. Had to literally search "Iloilo foreigners lockdown" or something to find something of yours. I think it may be your titles or keywords. Just fyi.

Taho is soy based. People have it for snack or breakfast. Hopefully, the construction is temporary and that they are making it look nicer in the future.

Fair commentary. Nothing wrong with it. When you destroy the natural beauty it's expected to get frowned upon. On the other side, let's also give it a chance. Once they finish their development, I'm expecting "developed beauty" if they have a real plan for it. With development comes progress and more jobs that will definitely help that community over there.
