  • Today we discoverer that there is a desert along the coast of laoag in ilocos province northern philippines, they call this trip the laoag sand dunes experience.
    At the laoag sand dunes experience you get the change to ride a 4x4 jeep around the sand dunes on crazy rides which is great fun. Also you can opt to hire a buggy that you can drive across the dunes and have a fun time. For these buggy's you have to pay per hour and although we did not hire one we definitely wish we did.
    Also there is free sand boarding down the dunes which is available inclusive of your jeep experience, the guys will help you carry the board back up to.
    It was a fantastic day with scary parts and adrenaline rushes topped off with a stop off at the beach to. ilocos has many hidden gems and i think this might well be the best of them. We had no idea until we actually got to vigan that there was a desert hidden away in the north of the philippines. I think this sand dune experience in laoag is a must visit as you will not do anything like this again around the philippines unless there are more of these little deserts

    I often wonder why it's like a desert up there, it gets plenty of rain but nothing seems to grow

      i can only guess that the sea used to cover those dunes a long time ago or there was some kind of river

    Hi, guys! I'd love to visit Laoag, now - especially after seeing the striking contrast between blue sea and sand dunes up against each other.

    Coshan Uncharted have to go back to their country to work and earn money and back again to promote my country, they’ve been doing this many times ,yet their love for this country is not recognized ,just like the phrase underpaid overworked 、Dustin Backpacks is too.Wakeup kababayans let 's support the ones that deserve it.

      hey totie, being in the philippines is a passion of ours and we would do it even if we had 10 subscribers. Its really nice to read this comment though and to feel appreciated so thank you so much

      no need to be sorry at all its a fact and we are just happy that you acknowledged it. Its quite easy for people to forget that we are just normal people and we are not rich and still need to work to fund our trips 😊 we made a choice to try and stay away from making traveling the philippines our job and just keep it as our passion so that we will always enjoy it and travel because we want to and not because we have to for money ❤🇵🇭

    I believe you got your money's worth on that trip, a welcome bonus was capturing that eagle's flight. 👍👍👍
    Although i find the eagle's behavior very odd for flying low and on the desert. Their kind usually lives in the jungle.

    • @CoshanUncharted
      @CoshanUncharted  3 роки тому +2

      yea, we have actually seen quite a lot of eagles in some strange places, really love the philippines nature (except the big huge huntsman spiders) 😂
