Ain't gonna lie,I shed a tear because of the exact same reason. That's what our neighbors did for us when grandad got down and couldn't farm anymore. Eventually we leased all the ground but if it weren't for the help of even the neighbors who didn't like us lol, we would've been ruined. This is the thing about rural living that is the hardest to convey to people. Mostly I hope they never know because I protect this way of life very selfishly because it's so misunderstood and so important to me. It's good to see these kids now carrying on traditions and sense of community that I experienced as a kid some forty odd years later

@@DougFLTRX that's what a lot of people are missing these days. I don't have to agree with your politics or personal preferences. I don't even have to like you. You're good to me, I'll be good to you. You need help, I'll lend a hand. We don't have to see eye to eye to just be good to each other.
I can be on bad terms with someone, and will still go out of my way to help them in a time of need. I know what it feels like to be helpless. I also know what it feels like to have a stranger help me back up. I don't want anyone to ever feel the way I've felt before - so I do my best to help where I can.
We need to continue to come together and build each other up. Period. That attitude is what I miss.

Back in the 80’s when my Grandpa was having some health issues, he was able to get the crops In but not able to harvest and all of the neighbors and the neighboring Amish came over and told Grandma to not worry bout a thing, they had it covered and they did the same thing.
This is what farmers do for other farmers when there’s a time of need. The rest of the country needs to take note and learn from Laura and everyone else in this video. And they do it without asking or expectation if money or anything else!! This is what we as humans are supposed to do when another is suffering but everyone has but farmers have gotten away from this and it’s all about what’s in it for me.
Great video Laura, thank you for sharing

In the Midwest it's still common. Out west, the corporation farms from commiefornia are buying farms in western states and now help isn't available. They think farming is all about their profits and if small farmers have to sell, they just by the land.

What happened? The crew from his competitors came over, helped restore car over the night to get it ready for the race the day after.
The reasoning? "This race is to be decided in the track... Not in the depot / pits!"

@Laura Farms it is very nice to see farmers standing together to help each other out. Just last week, a burning campaign began against the farmers here in South Africa, especially in the Free State province. And we have seen how farmers and non-farmers stand together to help their brothers survive. Thousands of animals dead, hundreds of thousands of hectares burnt down which is very devastating. This is just heartwarming. Thanks for sharing.

The root of all this is Apartheid . If u did not suppress the blacks for so long, this would not happen. History is a truth sayer.

@@MrHAPPYHAWAIIAN What? The Bantu who are torching SA farms and killing the farmers weren't there during apartheid, they've come pouring in from neighboring countries after apartheid ended. If anything, the end of apartheid, unchecked immigration and racism toward the Boer population caused this. History indeed... You should read some.

For farmers and ranchers, those who feed ALL of us and whose lives are dedicated to the responsibilities of true stewardship of the land,
THIS is as instinctive as any survival reflex.
May God Bless Them and Keep Them Safe so that they may continue to be examples of charity and good will to be emulated.

You know some people that don’t know what it’s like to be a farmer might think oh that guys equipment burned, ahh he can probably buy a new one but they don’t understand how expensive most equipment is. This is why when this happens to a farmer it is the hardest thing to overcome and that’s why I love other farmers who get the struggle so they tend together with other people and help make lives better that are having trouble I’m glad y’all helped this poor man when his equipment burned I wish there were more than just farmer people that did this and I’m pretty sure there is but they just don’t show as much as farmers hope he’s doing well

Great Video Laura. My dad and I have a farm in central Wisconsin and when I heard about this story, to lose so much equipment in one night like this could only be described as heartbreaking. But to have so many caring neighbors and fellow farmers pull together to help this family in their time of need is wonderful to see in action. Praise God that their is still good to be seen in our dark and crazy world. Thank you for sharing and for all you do.

Marriage is about two people forging their way through the good and bad together using love to stop them parting or even killing each other at various times. It does not have to be about extravagance or exotic holidays at all. That she sat with you as you took care of your farm is beautiful and shows true love. Cherish her.
PS I just noticed the model of tractors you reference so I assume this happened a long time ago. If so, a lovely memory to have.
