This 4th of July I would like to thank Laura and her family for all you do for our country! you are the superheroes that make US who we are! Thank you.
Watching this Nebraska Farm Girl work puts a smile on my face, it tells me that her generation will carry on the hard work of those farmers before her. She carries the knowledge that a lot of females of her generation have no idea of where to even start or what work is !

Ok we need more Laura videos in shorts and Grant filming ! Lucky 🍀 man . But honestly it was one of the best natural videos of you two being fun and funny with each other. Made me miss the wife and we went for a walk . Also made me miss the dairy farm that family sold out in 2004 . But that’s why I watch you guys . Makes me wonder how my life would of been if we didn’t sell out . God Bless you both and keep making videos
I grew up on a farm and I really appreciate you filming what farm work is like. It's much easier today with machinery and technology. For instance, we had to carry irrigation pipes, but you have a walking irrigation system. I love what you are doing and to see your operation.
You videos bring back memories. I earned my way through college in PA working on an orchard and far, 200 acres of apples, peaches, cherries and corn and melons in summer for the market. Hard work and good times. The times I drove across the plains the size of the farms and the farm equipment blew my mind! It was hard to get my head wrapped around it. Thanks for sharing these!
You two young people look like you are really enjoying each other and life -that is great I wish both of much more joy -thanks for sharing great video!
Enjoy your videos - they take me back home! I grew up in the tri-state area where KS/CO/NE meet. My best friend from college still lives in Kearney. Left there in 1969 and have been a Floridian for about 50 years, but I still love traveling back to visit every 3 or 4 years. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Good to see this! I was born in Southern Idaho and raised my entire life on a large ranch/farm… as we raised crops as well. I was in FFA all four years and 4H. Was driving our old Ford pickup around the canals and ditches as a real young kid. I fed the livestock with teams of horses in winter (sleigh) and wagon the rest of the year. Milked cows and sheered sheep, even castrated the lambs the old fashioned way (a true country boy raised around sheep know what that is…and can’t be afraid of the taste of blood 😐) Biggest part of my life was centered around irrigation…wheel lines, center pivots, solid set hand lines and some hook and latch hand lines both 3” and 4” as well as ball and socket. Cut corrugates and set siphon tubes. Mode of travel was a Honda 125 3-wheeler. Drove swathers and harrowbeds. Planted everything from taters to seed alfalfa. Tractors from a small MF 135 , and old Oliver 3 wheeled tractor w/ pipe trailer up to the Big Green Machines (Steiger), Gleaner combines. Joined the military for 21 years and never returned to the farm. Miss the quietness of it all, which I hated the hell out of as a kid. Moving up to 25 lines a day did get me in excellent shape for football though. Great channel and keep up the work! 🤙🤙🤙
Laura and Grant, you make a great team! Back in my agriculture days where flood ditch irrigation was the norm, your rubber boots were known as "irrigating boots"--as they were worn when "setting" water in the irrigation ditches and furrows. We also had small shovels called, yep, "irrigating shovels" for removing or placing dirt to start or stop irrigation water from going down a ditch or furrow. I still have a pair of irrigating boots and an irrigating shovel, even though I haven't been in ditch irrigation country for years. And, yes, Grant, farm girls make great wives--I know, I'm married to one.
I understand, I married a farm girl and our son married a city girl. an irrigated farm needs attention 7 days a week. People in the city think summers are for vacations.
@@robertreznik9330 Have a farm in AR that we lease out, most of it is flood irrigated, looks like a lot of work. I farm half of the original family farm, a little over 600 acres. I like my vacations I couldn't imagine having any time off if I did any more than that.
Flood ditch irrigation was used in the arid area of Pakistan, not far from the Afghanistan border, where I spent a year as a 7 year old 65 years ago. I was fascinated by the process and I can remember our gardener using a special shovel to open and close drainage paths leading to small plots. He didn't have boots :-) I wonder where the technique was invented.
@@roadie3124 Flood irrigation was developed in may places. There were millions of acres in this area in the 1940's. From Lubbock Texas to Denver Colorado . This is the Western High Plains. Most plots are 160 acres. The hand shovel we used was the California irrigation shovel. There were 1/2 mile long furrow made where crops would be planted. The ditches from well to furrows were made by a V ditcher pulled by a row crop tractor.
You 2 are a breath of fresh air!! You understand what it takes to succeed! Keep up the good work, America is counting on you and others like you and your families!! God Bless you!!
That Grant is a real rascal, but I imagine you were aware of that. Thank you for showing some of the irrigation equipment. I have never been around that instead, we run tile underground to give the water someplace to go. It's absolutely beautiful looking across the corn into the sunset. That is a blessing to be able to see the sunrise and sunset each day. Some people don't get to see that. Thanks for sharing.
You two make such a great team. I recently subscribed (February 2024) and am going back watching some of the older videos just to get more of the backstory about this remarkable couple. I know farming can be a very stressful way to make a living, but you two seem to just take things in stride and get things handled. Grant, you are a fortunate man to have a beauty and a cutie like Laura in your life. And Laura, you didn't do half bad yourself, girl. 👍🏼
One of the very best ag education videos you have made. Great camera work Grant! I could see this one getting way over a 100,000 likes. The team work was superb! I loved the length of the video and could even be longer. Just absolutely fantastic! Love seeing more like this. An evening in south central Nebraska.
Hello Laura Farms. I'm so glad to see that your corn made it to being head high by Fourth of July. Can't wait to see it once it's tassled and it's ready for harvest. Y'all keep up the good work. Happy Fourth of July.

Laura Otherday you came accross a linsay traveling big gun. There purpose was to irrigate crops that have to rely on rain water. WE had them on the farm. we dug a hole on the creek and pumped out of that hole. there was appx a half mile of over size garden hose that was attached to traveling gun, that worked like th elittle tractor lawn sprinkler. The end gun was set up on one side of feild. And walked its self accress the field dragging the water hose behind it. Far as i know its still sitting out to farm.

Nebraska has the best corn! Many years ago when I lived in Arkansas my dad and I used to travel to Lincoln and fill the trunk of his large car full of corn and drive back to Arkansas. Then we would feast for the rest of the year.
Just ran across your channel. It’s nice to see a young farming couple taking time as busy as you are to film and edit all this. I know that’s a ton of work in itself. Great job 🤙🏼
I miss farming! My mom passed away suddenly of brain cancer 💜 so he sold and moved in next to to my brother off the farm but man I miss this life! Maybe one day I’ll retire and buy a farm too.

@@billwilliams44 May be from a cynical view, but pragmatically, why not? If you make more money at your job adjusting your outfit a bit, might as well do it.
A beautiful and fun loving farm girl... nothing better in life. I like how you have animated eye brows. Hard working and willing to help no matter what. That tire was a mess for sure. I'm sure I would of struggled with that one too.
You two are a great couple. The way you work together is so heart-warming and gives me hope for future generations of husband and wife teams conquering life's trials and tribulations across this planet. God Bless
This is what a hard working farm girl looks like that also likes to have a little fun. You and Grant make a good team. An informative video by the way. Enjoyed it very much.
I genuinely appreciate your channel; it is so amazimg to get an insight into the daily life of our great American farmers. Thank you for all that you do. ❤️ God bless you, your wonderful family, and those awesome neighbors.
Hope yall don't get any hernias...Had 8 fixed myself. Back many moons ago I would drive out thru fields in my wrecker to repair/change tractor tires....sold my shop last year and retired at 70...now I have time to take trips on my motorcycle and fish. I still keep a few hogs, pygmy goats and grow a little tobbacco....along with a good size veg garden. Hit the antique tractor pulls with my 47 Ford redbelly six cylinder.
Hi Laura and Grant, Laura, just as you bent over to pick up your boots, I thought I hope there are no mice in them, and then you said the same. I see what you meant when you said a two-person job, nobody could have done that repair on their own. It was so nice of Grant to give you a shower at the end. Stay well, you two. ❤
I don't think he saves the worst jobs for you, Laura, I think Grant saves the worse jobs for us to see. I love seeing you two work together like this! Keep it up.
Them pivots are a pain in the butt but you guys are good at fixing them. You all have a great lifestyle out there don't ever stop farming. Hang in there I know it's hard under this administration but don't give up we will make America Great Again God bless you and God bless America ❤️.
Love that adorable Laura smile at the end of the video! Daaaw! So cute! :-) HAPPY 4th OF JULY TO YOU LAURA, GRANT, THE CARLSON AND WILSON FAMILIES! Oh, and don't forget Grammy too! :-)
Been there a few times. It’s amazing how easy the irrigation structures will collapse. Mine had to go over a levee and that was always a great. I had to go to the metal covering too. I kept getting the tires stuck. Made a huge difference.

Grant, you are one really lucky guy!! Not only is Laura fun, hard working, smart and easy going, she is also not afraid to get her hands dirty or greasy.
Another awesome video, thank you so much. I was tugging on that track the whole way with you, even caught myself holding my breath to get more of a tug. Happy 4th of July to all farmers in America happy 4th of July to all Americans!
Having done similar jobs here in Wisconsin; I definitely wearing coveralls and gloves for this task. Great Midwest work ethic. Happy Fourth!
Yes, but coveralls wouldn't get nearly the clicks that those cutoffs and sleeveless shirts do.
God Bless
I love getting to see all of you Laura in the the videos Laura. Grant you are a lucky man!!!
This is what a hard working farm girl looks like that also likes to have a little fun. You and Grant make a good team. An informative video by the way. Enjoyed it very much.
How majestic. The color of young corn, a John Deere tractor and your Green Eyes.
A beautiful example of team work and beautiful corn. Love the video
I genuinely appreciate your channel; it is so amazimg to get an insight into the daily life of our great American farmers. Thank you for all that you do. ❤️
God bless you, your wonderful family, and those awesome neighbors.
What a tough little lady, and purdy too!!
I am a Nebraska resident since birth, I love summer. I live in jean shorts. I hate the winters in Nebraska
The world needs more Lauras 👍👍
Hope yall don't get any hernias...Had 8 fixed myself. Back many moons ago I would drive out thru fields in my wrecker to repair/change tractor tires....sold my shop last year and retired at 70...now I have time to take trips on my motorcycle and fish. I still keep a few hogs, pygmy goats and grow a little tobbacco....along with a good size veg garden. Hit the antique tractor pulls with my 47 Ford redbelly six cylinder.
Laura I hope you and Grant keep falling in love EVERY DAY TOGETHER.
I'm impressed, Laura is a pretty tough little lady gettin it done. Pretty easy on the eyes too.
Laura is quite the mechanic ! I'm old-fashioned and would be breaking my neck to do all of the work. She is amazing 👏
A few hundred patches and good as new! Laughed all the way to the floor! You two are the best!
Farming is the most respectable, essential, and DANGEROUS profession in the world. Bravo to all farmers! Keep up the good work; we need you.
WOW! Luv it when Grants behind the camera. Great vid, you are an inspiration for young girls to work hard. Keep it up!
I was just thinking about by the 4th of July Thang today with the corn it's getting close to harvest here in FL
Love that adorable Laura smile at the end of the video! Daaaw! So cute! :-)
HAPPY 4th OF JULY TO YOU LAURA, GRANT, THE CARLSON AND WILSON FAMILIES!
Oh, and don't forget Grammy too! :-)
Knee high probably more a northeast thing since we plant much later...lol. corn looks great!
I am impressed on how you both work so well together ❤ and make good of situations with such enormous challenges. God Bless you both.
Been there a few times. It’s amazing how easy the irrigation structures will collapse. Mine had to go over a levee and that was always a great. I had to go to the metal covering too. I kept getting the tires stuck. Made a huge difference.
This is undoubtably your and Grant's very best video. Hope your evening was very very interesting, if you know what I mean.
I Love you guys. I have a little 1025R JD Compact. I've learned more farming nomenclature in two weeks than I have my entire life. Thanks Laura!
I absolutely love your summer work wear..
Beautiful 🥰
Hi, Laura. Love your channel! You're a smart and strong woman. The farming industry is in very capable hands.
Meanwhile in Chicago…civilization is collapsing. God bless both of you. America’s greatness came from hard work just like this.
It's collapsing in a number of places. It's what happens when people stop respecting each other.
@@vk2ig Well when you catch criminals who just shot someone and then don’t keep them in jail, while you are taking away the only protection that lawful citizens have, there’s no mystery as to why this is happening.
Grant played this very smart! He filmed. He knew that the cute farm girl in cut-offs would get the views. Anyway.... you guys are a great farming team. Keep it up.
You are beautiful. Love how you educate us pions.
Thanks
Grant, you are one really lucky guy!! Not only is Laura fun, hard working, smart and easy going, she is also not afraid to get her hands dirty or greasy.
Another awesome video, thank you so much. I was tugging on that track the whole way with you, even caught myself holding my breath to get more of a tug. One thing that got me a little bothered is you don’t wear gloves, especially after Grant called it “ the finger pincher 9000”
I know your the experts and I need not worry, but I know what can happen too. Bless you and your family on this holiday and every day.
Those long evenings and big skies remind me of South Australia. Beautiful!
Laura Farms appears in my notifications, I click on it. My day is complete. 🇺🇲😎
You are my sunshine, you are my sunshine, you make me happy when days are gray.
Laura's putting them farm girl muscles to work! Happy! 4th! Yall!
"them"? Maybe you should grow up a bit.
@@james1795 What did Danzilly say that is so wrong?
Again from Lockheed California we watch you love you Laura Grant Cale and family….
You two are hilarious! Grant you are the luckiest man on the face of the earth, to have a wife like Laura. The two of you are the perfect pair!!!

Always enjoy the videos. good teamwork. Thanks for sharing the repairs as they come up.
Great job you guys. Yes you guys do make a great team. Laura you have some guns on you, your muscles were all flexed up moving that big wheel and tire. Good work both of you guys. Get r done.
One of the most amazing behinds I’ve ever seen… that’s one lucky dude!
You know there's a great new invention for this kind of task, GLOVES!!
Thank God for your channel. It gives me hope that at least there are some good decent hard working folks still out there who enjoy life even when you run into a few bumps in the road.
Hey Laura and Grant... Happy 4th of July! Hope you all have a great weekend!!!
Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "Field Repair." When something's running without a person watching, it can go from bad to worse pretty fast.
Perfect team work. Happy wife is a happy life.
Welllllll???!!! That was different!!! Laura, I'm yelling at my screen to look out, cause I knew it was going to be a full on soaker, when Grant said" ya want some more water"??? Lolololol!!! Grant, you are a fiesty one!!!??? Lol!! Thanks for sharing 👍!
Yup. It was obvious what was going to happen.
11:37 God bless America! And thank you for good looking country girls like Laura!
16:08 Grant is a very, very lucky man.
Grow up.
