Specifically, I have this idea that John chooses to use the identity of the original John Jones who would be a security guard who accidentally dies when John first arrives on Earth. But when discovering that the man had a wife and daughter before dying, Jonn would feel so mortified and guilty that he decides to honour the man by making sure his wife and daughter have their husband/father and raising said family and living his life but becomes too accustomed to the joy of being a father and husband again, which would be a way of Martian Manhunter grieving with losing his own wife and children on Mars as this new family he raises reminds him so much of the family he lost. Not only would it put a lot of focus on Billy and his development but on his siblings as well. I think his family should be the center and main selling point of the show. The shazam family has a lot of potential. They can be so fun. Seeing these kids navigate the world as superheros together would be great. It would be pretty sweet and heartfelt show.
They should definitely not adapt the New 52 adoptive family. They completely ruined Mary and Freddy while adding 3 boring extra characters and missing what worked about the original Marvel Family. They should adapt the 90s "Power of Shazam" since that series showed how Shazam isn't just a wholesome and sweet character and can be dark.

IMHO a gritty Sin City-esque Question show or movie would be awesome in the DCU, but what I really want for the character is for Renee Montoya to become the Question in season 2 of Caped Crusader. She was already basically a main character alongside Batman, & it could really be interesting and compelling to see what leads her to become a vigilante. @@backstabber5489yeah especially since its alwasy fun to see younger versions of iconic old characters like with Charles and Erik in x-men first class and ut feels like the tounger years of the jsa are underrated a bit.
I'd love to see a Birds of Prey animated TV show. Black Canary and Barbara Gordon are some of my favourite DC characters. Helena Bertinelli, Huntress is so interesting, like Bruce Wayne, she watched her family get killed as a child, but her father was a crime boss and she wants to kill everyone responsible for his death. I'd like to have usually secondary characters like the Question or Tim Drake Robin appear for an episode or two, either helping the Birds out and showcasing their unique skills, like how Tim, the coffee addict, is the best detective in the Bat-family, even better than Bruce, or how the Question obsesses over everything. I wouldn't want someone who'd overshadow the Birds like Batman, you could include him, but maybe as a silhouette on a rooftop or he's going after a different villain, just at the same place. (He'd be after Penguin's money laundering, while the Birds are after Two-Face's weapons shipment, and Oracle already knows that, because she works with him.) It would be fun to see them fight the Gotham City Sirens, or maybe even Cassandra Cain. (I hate what the Harley Quinn movie did to Cass.) They could even include the Oracle Origin from Young Justice, which was so well done, and a much better than the killing joke version, IMO.
I personally really really want an animated series focusing on the super sons. A story about them growing up together and eventually taking their fathers’ roles as two of the heads of the justice league would be great. Heck eventually adding Cassandra Sandmark to round off the trio would be great as well.
Top 10 Dc Characters/Groups I want to see have animated series 1. Wonder Woman (Because Diana deserves better and needs a series) 2. Martian Manhunter (Interesting character that has an interesting story and poignant themes on self identity and purpose, deserves way better than being DC's Jobber) 3. Tie Between Nightwing or Red Hood (Deserve more recognition than being simply Robins since both shed their sidekick identity for something new) 4. Justice League Gods and Monsters Continued (The best Alternate Universes they made that needs more recognition) 5. Tied between Birds of Prey (Without Harley in it and have Batgirl star it) or Gotham City Sirens (Harley's Other group that deserves more recognition than just the darn squad) 6. Animal man (Same thoughts) 7. Flash's Rogues (Maybe a tv series equivalent like the Netflix Tv Crooks) 8. Doom Patrol (Animation would've made the crazy and wacky scenarios) 9. Primer (New superhero made that uses paint powers so more animation potential A Kid's DC equivalent similar to Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur) 10. Vixen (Deserves to be given more recognition) That's all I have.
Apparently James Gunn is working on a nightwing x red hood project. It's going to be a series of animated movies i think. With the first movie being a mix of animation, puppetry, and CGI etc
I feel like after seeing what James Gunn did with Polka-Dot Man in The Suicide Squad, and in the wake of Harley Quinn and recently Kite Man getting a show, I'd love a Misfits animated series. Essentially it was Killer Moth forming a team comprised of C-list and below Batman villains (Cat Man, Calendar Man etc.) then trying and failing to commit crimes. I feel like that could be a really fun show that explores the wacky side of DC villains, showing us characters like Crazy Quilt, the Eraser and countless others, maybe going beyond just Batman's rogues, with a focus on what they have to do to get by day to day, maybe being so ineffective that the only heroes that appear are also lower level. Along with that it could provide a unique perspective on the world since they're so low level that they commonly go overlooked by not only heroes or villains within the world, but also by plenty of comic readers and general audience members despite how imaginative a lot of them are.
A Sideways show would be great. Imagine him dealing with high school while having to fight villains from the Dark Multiverse. Plus his series ended on a cliffhanger and would love to see it resolved. And a plus on Puerto Rican representation.
I've literally had written ideas for so many characters to have their ow animated shows and I truly hope characters like Wonder Woman, Flash, Shazam, Green Arrow/Black Canary, Green Lantern (again), Nightwing, Doom Patrol, Martian Manhunter etc... all deserve their own animated series with different tones and styles that allow people to see how truly underappreciated these characters are. I especially pray Wonder Woman and Flash get their own animated shows since Wonder Woman is the most influential/first female superhero and deserves her own show to explore her character, her underrated villains and lore on Greek Mythology. Flash also deserves his own animated show with maybe a well made anime style to emphasise the vibrancy of Flash's powers and world. I also hope if a Flash Animated Series does ever happen then I hope they start with his origin and explore his growth from there throughout a continuous story arc similar to how My Adventures With Superman did a terrific job exploring Clark's growth starting his career as Superman and growing to understand himself and mature in relatable ways. The main reason I'd prefer this direction is because the Flash has been written far too many times as an OP character who's too powerful to write consistently without feeling redundant or lazy like how the CW did him. That is why I think it would be better to start him off slowly and allow him to develop his powers over the long term to give more naturally built up stakes and competent writing.
Dc writers forgets that flash is smart and a detective. At this point just gives us a barry Allen focused detective series before he had his powers but this time he would solve difficult cases on uncovering the man in yellow aka thawne. No starlabs, no man in chair telling barry how to use common sense like in cw flash, just him in ccpd being Sherlock Holmes.
@@Time_Lantern_Gameplay he's actually a forensic scientist. He still works with the police and helps with crimes, but Flash is the one that acts on the evidence he gathers. They even parallel this with Hunter Zolomon being a criminal profiler since he's essentially Barry turned evil.
Animal Man mentioned! But on a serious note i really think AM is a super underrated character with a great power set and interesting family dynamic. Personally I would love to see either but I've always wanted a live action adaptation - it would be cool to see and he just seems like the kind of character James Gunn would love with how weird, sad, and incredible his stories get. His 2 main runs(Morrison and Lemire) could be blueprints for a tv series and they could set up signs showing Maxine's eventual powers from the start. S1 could follow Buddy a few years in as a superhero trying to keep his family financially secure while stranger coincidences keep putting him in stranger/ deadlier scenarios. S2 could focus more on his powers changing / getting stronger alongside Maxine showing signs of her own powers manifesting all while this season puts on emphasis on body horror / action alongside a much creepier tone.
The lack of solo DC animated shows is insane to me considering their reputation for animated content. Like at this point it's either a Batman animated series or a team up/team show. Too this day I'm so happy we got Static Shock and wanted to see more branching out like that. Personally, I'd love a Flash show that's a little more current so it starts with Wally West as the main flash but has a rich history and built world with Jay and Barry as his mentors/predecessors and at times still active flashes (but mostly retired). Would especially be a treat with his kids and home life. A similar Blue Beetle focus show would also go hard and he's long overdue one (it'd do as well as a Spider-Man cartoon if written well). And there's so much more they could do and follow. Even branching out from Earth and the JLA. I really enjoyed GLTAS just for being that (something that delved deep into the Green Lanterns and not just Hal's adventures on Earth). I also really want more milestone comic adaptions. Like an Icon or Rokket animated show would go so hard.
If Wonder Woman got a animated show, I would love if it follows a similar style to BTAS/TNBA and JL/JLU The first two seasons could take place in WWII and adapt Diana golden age stories, showing her going to Man's World, developing her relationship Steve Trevor and Etta Candy (and maybe some cameo from the JSA) and fighting against villains like Ares, Doctor Psycho, Doctor Poison and, most important, Cheetah (who could start as Diana's friend but slowly be corrupt and become a villain). Season 2 finale could show the end of the war, with Diana defeating and being forced to return home, feeling her mission was over, saying her farewell to Steve and Etta (who, btw, I would have them end up together, much like in the George Perez run). Then, the next two seasons could take place in modern day with, Diana returning to Man's World and having to deal with how much things have changed. She would have a new supporting cast (Julia and Vanessa Kapatelis, Master Ching and agent Tom Tresser), new villains (exemple: Veronica Cale, Doctor Cyber, Giganta), and a new role: Instead of just super hero, this season could be the moment when the amazons finally open Themysicira to the world and Diana becomes the ambassador, with her new adventures taking inspiration from WW stories like the Greg Rucka and Gail Simone's run . Having the series slip between Golden and modern age would not only allow it to pay tribute to different eras of Wonder Woman history but also explore the key aspect of the character, which is her faith in humanity, showing Diana witness the world in it's darkest period (WWII) and seeing the aftermath, noticing how there are still many problems in the world and still fighting to protect the humans, beliving in their potential to be good.
On a side note, If they include the original Peter David version of Young Justice, I hope they give them an animated TV show. That book is such a bizarre, fun ride that would make for a very good and unique superhero experience in terms of adaptations. It's also very different from the traditional Teen Titans. So, it existing alongside that wouldn't really overshadow it or do the same things and vice versa.
Not sure if this is too Batman-y, but a DCU animated show for his supporting cast would be awesome. Maybe call it Gotham Knights, and base it off James Tynion's Rebirth Detective Comics run. I would argue this is essential if you want to include some fan favourites in the DCU because there are so many fan favourite Batman characters that it's either exclude some, animated show, or a whole bunch of one-shot stories that slowly bring them all in but would be confusing due to 'Brave and the Bold' starting with Damian.
Not to take away from animation as a Question show would only benefit from animation, but honestly I think it would be achievable to nail a look in live action. I honestly just imagine a textureless spandex mask (imagine spider-man's but all just one solid color) with a wig attached.
The way I have been BRIANROTTING over the concept of a core four Young Justice show (starring Tim Drake, Conner Kent, Cassie Sandsmark, and Bart Allen) over the past couple months has MADE ME WANT TO WRITE ONE MYSELF
Honestly I’d really love it if they gave a Green Arrow series a sort of Shonen vibe, similar to what they did with My Adventures With Superman. Kind of out there, but I think it would work really well. And it’d be a good way to get mainstream audiences on board.
Dick Tracy movie from 1990 had a character named “The Blank” which pretty much a character with a faceless mask. So a life action of The Question sounds plausible.
Wild-cat, Books of Magic, Empires of Mars (just focusing on the geopolitical aspect of the White Martians, Green Martians conflict), Blue Beetle and Booster Gold (or Justice League International) and Zatanna
While don't think it's 100% necessary, I think Red Hood and the Outlaws should get an animated series. Jason Todd, in general, doesn't really have the big screen presence other Batman related characters have had. Same with most of the extended bat universe and DC characters like Artemis, Bizarro, or Roy (a DC character adjacent to your boi). So I think exploring this section of the universe can expose people to a more obscure sect of people to the DC universe and show the general public that Batman isn't the only person patrolling the streets of Gotham
Animated series that I would like to see: 1) Robin's animated series, in which the main Robin changes in each season, showing the beginning and end of each of them as Robin. 2) Gen13 I think they should finally bring them back, and remind people about them. 3) Green lantern animated series, the 2012 animated series was very cool and was closed for no reason, I would really like to see this.
The way you mention the shows filling gaps from the movies reminds me of an interview about star wars clone wars. The big point of it was, george lucas crammed all of this information into 3 movies, and it didn't feel natural the way things progressed, but when you add that 7 season cartoon detailing the growth and conflict these characters experienced during the war, it recontextualized things in the movies, and improved them. Ideally, with good superhero movies, the shows on top of them will anplify them and draw more attention to them
I think that’s why I liked young justice growing up, Not only we were introduced less known popular dc characters, But characters like miss Martian, tigress, aqua lad n more were fleshed out, Also rewatching the series I notice a lot of background characters actually being comic characters

I’ve been needing a new Troy video for a while thank god for bestowing this upon me 🙏😭 also I really wish WB used the animation medium more for dc instead of disrespecting it multiple times and constantly cancelling animated projects it’s so annoying.
Honestly a Flash animated series that features the entire Flash Family with Barry and Wally as the main characters sounds really cool especially or even with it starting of with Wally starting out after Crisis on Infinite adapting most of Waids run like the Return of Barry Allen, terminal velocity etc run up until Infinite Crisis where Barry comes back probably the next season or even starting off Barry up until his death then returns with the Rebirth and Flashpoint runs. There are literally so many possibilities
DC Comics characters that should get their own animated series; Wonder Woman The Flash Martian Manhunter Justice Society Doom Patrol Green Arrow Firestorm Justice League International Super Sons Nightwing Shazam Red Hood and the Outlaws The Atom Vixen Justice League Dark Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters The Question Hawkman Red Tornado Metal Men Doctor Fate Black Canary Birds of Prey
I know we’ve had so many Batman cartoons, but I’d like to see a “Batman & Robin” anthology series that focuses on Bruce’s relationship with each of his Robins
I think making DC shows part of the movie universe has the possibility to make the shows like individual issues or solo runs, letting the movies be the big event comics. It's an interesting strategy, hopefully helps with the pressure to make everything this big epic cosmic climax and gives the characters more natural ways to grow.

Agree Batman, superman and the entire JL can get multiple shows and movies but static only gets 1
Just static.
@@SecretMagicianstupid idiot
@@MrTree-qj1nd static Shock and Spyke are forgotten now
The Harley Quinn show has been really nice for seeing the Wonder Woman's rogue gallery, no idea why they're so prevalent in it but I am not complaining
They should do a Justice Society animated series with a similar asthetic to 1950s saturday morning cartoons but still look modern (like Venture Bros or Agent Elvis)
dude, im really longing for a goddamn justice society stuff. and now that you mention it, i think it'd look sick with a style similar to batman caped crusader. like, they nailed the old animated show style.
@@backstabber5489yeah especially since its alwasy fun to see younger versions of iconic old characters like with Charles and Erik in x-men first class and ut feels like the tounger years of the jsa are underrated a bit.
A JSA animated show that takes place in late 60s early 70s would be cool
(He'd be after Penguin's money laundering, while the Birds are after Two-Face's weapons shipment, and Oracle already knows that, because she works with him.)
It would be fun to see them fight the Gotham City Sirens, or maybe even Cassandra Cain.
Top 10 Dc Characters/Groups I want to see have animated series
1. Wonder Woman (Because Diana deserves better and needs a series)
2. Martian Manhunter (Interesting character that has an interesting story and poignant themes on self identity and purpose, deserves way better than being DC's Jobber)
3. Tie Between Nightwing or Red Hood (Deserve more recognition than being simply Robins since both shed their sidekick identity for something new)
4. Justice League Gods and Monsters Continued (The best Alternate Universes they made that needs more recognition)
5. Tied between Birds of Prey (Without Harley in it and have Batgirl star it) or Gotham City Sirens (Harley's Other group that deserves more recognition than just the darn squad)
6. Animal man (Same thoughts)
7. Flash's Rogues (Maybe a tv series equivalent like the Netflix Tv Crooks)
8. Doom Patrol (Animation would've made the crazy and wacky scenarios)
9. Primer (New superhero made that uses paint powers so more animation potential A Kid's DC equivalent similar to Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur)
10. Vixen (Deserves to be given more recognition)
That's all I have.
Vixen has one.
Apparently James Gunn is working on a nightwing x red hood project. It's going to be a series of animated movies i think. With the first movie being a mix of animation, puppetry, and CGI etc
you had me at ‘nightwing’ oh god please
A Flash series would be insane. Imagine the crazy animation and stuff you can do with that kind of speed
If Wonder Woman got a animated show, I would love if it follows a similar style to BTAS/TNBA and JL/JLU
The first two seasons could take place in WWII and adapt Diana golden age stories, showing her going to Man's World, developing her relationship Steve Trevor and Etta Candy (and maybe some cameo from the JSA) and fighting against villains like Ares, Doctor Psycho, Doctor Poison and, most important, Cheetah (who could start as Diana's friend but slowly be corrupt and become a villain).
Definitely. JLU is the best animated dc show.
I agree with Earth 2 and Wonder Woman needing shows, I would also love to see adaptations of more milestone characters in their own universe.
The fact that Harley Quinn and fucking kite man of all people got a show before Wonder Woman and the flash is criminal
why are you acting like harley quinn isn’t currently an icon and a mass merchandise seller/draw? cry
She’s been oversaturated while Wonder Woman is a part of the trinity, keep crying kid.
@@animationcentral.3799she is not an icon she’s popular (never get why) but an icon
if i have to see wonder woman snapping maxwell lords neck as “proof” she kills one more time, i’m going to lose my mind
A Motherheckin Constantine animated series would be so cool.
Dick Tracy movie from 1990 had a character named “The Blank” which pretty much a character with a faceless mask. So a life action of The Question sounds plausible.
dead earth feels like it would work perfectly as an arc within a show, like the vandall savage/death of superman arc in justice league
I cannot tell you how much I have wanted a Flash cartoon for so long. There is just so much you can do with it.
The Terrifics. With Plastic Man voiced/played later in live action by Ben Schwartz. I DESPERATELY need it. With a musical episode, too
Would an anthology season for the Bat Family work? An episode per member, can’t wait for Alfred’s
“ah, so-“ has become one of my favorite intros to videos now 😭🔥
An Animated Deadman show would go so hard. Honestly I’m surprised DC Showcase has yet to do an animated short movie on Deadman
So I think exploring this section of the universe can expose people to a more obscure sect of people to the DC universe and show the general public that Batman isn't the only person patrolling the streets of Gotham
a new gods show would be so cool… or even just a full animated adaptation of Tom King’s Mister Miracle would be so awesome
There was a DC Showcase animated short that featured the Losers on Dinosaur Island.
I would love to have a Batgirls Cartoon in the style of Jorge Corona. That comic was such a Saturday morning cartoon it deserves to actually be one.
Animated series that I would like to see:
1) Robin's animated series, in which the main Robin changes in each season, showing the beginning and end of each of them as Robin.
2) Gen13 I think they should finally bring them back, and remind people about them.
3) Green lantern animated series, the 2012 animated series was very cool and was closed for no reason, I would really like to see this.
Give me a hellblazer show! Give me Constantine!! I want a serious animated show him! Please!! For the love of all that is good!! I want this!!!
Ideally, with good superhero movies, the shows on top of them will anplify them and draw more attention to them
I think that’s why I liked young justice growing up,
Not only we were introduced less known popular dc characters,
But characters like miss Martian, tigress, aqua lad n more were fleshed out,
Also rewatching the series I notice a lot of background characters actually being comic characters
Holy sh*t thanks for letting me discover Dan Mora I've seen his art before and I loved it but I didnt know the name of artist till I looked at the description. Thanks! :D
If there’s a secret six show I’ll become james gunn’s strongest soldier
It would break my heart if people’s introduction to the golden age characters was Earth 2 before they even get a normal JSA show.
I would love a red hood or an outlaws animated series
If you want to adapt a WW origin story, then Renae DeLiz' The Legend of Wonder Woman is the one to make. It's beautifully written, completely self-contained, and it's an absolute crime her art style has never been adapted to animation before.
Wonder Woman definitely deserves one. She's so cool
You put me onto JSA YEAR ONE, so definitely not a problem you recommend mark said a bunch
I’ve been needing a new Troy video for a while thank god for bestowing this upon me 🙏😭 also I really wish WB used the animation medium more for dc instead of disrespecting it multiple times and constantly cancelling animated projects it’s so annoying.
I was thinking the same thing.
yea they hate animation now for some reason lol it's really sad man :/
idc what anyone says we need a new gods (new genesis and apocalypse) animated series. their lore and history goes crazy
Troyo feels more unhinged in this video and I love it
Seeing firestorm more would be cool asl, or maybe just some actually teen titans shi that isn't limited by cartoon network guidelines

Wonder Woman
The Flash
Martian Manhunter
Justice Society
Doom Patrol
Green Arrow
Firestorm
Justice League International
Super Sons
Nightwing
Shazam
Red Hood and the Outlaws
The Atom
Vixen
Justice League Dark
Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters
The Question
Hawkman
Red Tornado
Metal Men
Doctor Fate
Black Canary
Birds of Prey
I know we’ve had so many Batman cartoons, but I’d like to see a “Batman & Robin” anthology series that focuses on Bruce’s relationship with each of his Robins
3:06 her name is Makkari, and I watched Eternals, and guess what? I LIKED IT!
Makkari actually great love her
Da comicbook king is back baby he neva miss we're eating good today y'all
I think making DC shows part of the movie universe has the possibility to make the shows like individual issues or solo runs, letting the movies be the big event comics. It's an interesting strategy, hopefully helps with the pressure to make everything this big epic cosmic climax and gives the characters more natural ways to grow.
Gimme a Fourth World animated show inspired by Jack Kirby’s art
13:02 this describes a lot of writers. And just to name three off the top of my head, Frank Miller, Jeph Loeb, and Bruce Timm.
Oh what ya know?! All famous Batman writers…coincidence?
11:44 I would actually really like to see a show based off of the Crime Syndicate Earth 2!
Kind of like that one special from the Batman the Brave and the Bold show. With heroes trying to take down the Crime Syndicate or something.

Off topic, but they’re lowkey cooking with the Absolute characters.
I really wanted to see a Young Justice show that its mainly based on the original young justice. I feel like the 1998 run of the Young Justice is some of the most interesting and fun comics that i have read. And i feel like the original story would be very easy to translate to animation.
Batman Beyond or Static Shock definitely deserve animated shows (MUCH more than Green Arrow btw)

4. Plastic Man
3. Wonder Woman
2. The Flash
1. Green Arrow
A redhood show would be cool
Big believer that animated blue beetle show can reactivate the feeling shows like generator rex and ben ten gave in the early 2010s
They should honestly do one around vixen she’s always been interesting
I would LOVE for Shazam to get a Ben 10 mixed with Hanna-Barbara type of show
We need a nightwing show so badly his comics are also always in the top comics of the month list.
Thank you for the flash respect good sir, I need everyone to know why he's the best superhero
If we're doing detective chimp, can we do shadowpact
Bro why did I think warby parker was a dc character when I looked at the time stamps?💀
Injustice happened to Tom Taylor - he really started off as a hero and ended up as a villain
If detective chimp isn’t apart of this universes justice league dark I’m gonna cry
i would love to see a Plastic Man animated show - it would allow them to do so much in the show and not have to worry about going crazy with the CGI if he has one or two cool moments in the live action stuff!
Would love a Human Target animated series that takes inspiration from Peter Milligan’s 90’s/early 2000’s run. A mix of serialized episodes and one-offs following Christopher Chance on his assignments and how he struggles to keep his psyche in check as he goes through a revolving door of different identities.
I feel like blue beetle should get one similar he could be the spectacular spider man of DC animated universe
I think the problem is quite clear:
They don't want to "waste" stories on animation
Can we PLEASE get a good elseworld animated series for the Justife League again, just like Unlimited?
I would really love an adaptation of sandman mystery theater. Like really focus on anthology to fill out sections of this massive universe that wouldn’t get top billing in a film.
