go into your sound settings on windows and disable ANY kind of surround sound or bass boost or anything.
what you want for tarkov. is pure raw unprocessed STEREO sound.
and then turn on binural audio in tarkov itself.
(if you have surround sound turned on on your headset it WILL ruin the sound location. the video game does NOT send out any location data or anything like that so your surround sound is just guessing. and it's guessing wrong.)
