i honestly love the poe diablo 2 style of inventory in rpgs, idk why it just feels so much nicer than generic ass list inventories i guess it's bc there's a lot more affixes in those kinds of games compared to smth like elder scrolls which basically just have 1 enchant so its not really too custom this game genuinely looks really dope
@@Charizard24682 It is genuinely nicer because you can see your whole inventory at once. Lists are absolutely terrible interface design. Even in games that don't have Tetris-style space management, having a 2D grid where each item occupies a box is a way better layout. Divinity Original Sin and classic CRPGs like Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, etc. all did this, it's only really Bethesda that decided to revert that style because they couldn't figure out how to make it work on a controller.
Charles here uses the "Londoner" meta build, and as you can see from the gameplay it requires precise timing to close in at enemies and absolutely devour them in accurate piercing attacks. Very well done and also great game.
This game is basically a mix between tarkov and a randomly generated looter game. Millions of different tactics and playstyles with this game. Its the type of game that is so perfect in theory that more content = better 100% of the time. Really looking forward to seeing all the extra polish and content at launch.

I'm a Cleric main, but when I was leveling my Wizard I forgot to put on a staff/book for a session and I ended up killing a rogue with my fists. Amazing what you can pull off when you're used to the slow ass Cleric mace attacks.
Today's fact: Muscles do not develop the same in everyone and their exact origins/insertions can differ between people. In some the biceps have three or more heads, as opposed to the normal two. Some muscles are entirely absent, such as the psoas minor (found in about 40% of humans) and the sternalis (only 7.8%).
This reminds somewhat me of a far advanced version of dreadhalls VR, especially in atmosphere (excellent game too btw) but with combat and many other added mechanics, creating a whole different experience
This game is the best thing ive played in years, little tip though is to use the enviroment to combat the AI, jumping up on a tomb or barrel and your out of reach for most mobs, you can even jump on the portal stones to get away from spiders.
Been watching Aethel play it on and off as the playtests some come up. It's obviously still nowhere near finished, but it's a super interesting game to watch develop, and seemingly just as fun to play.

this games looks exactly like the first elder scrols, specially the cave where you start at. Nostalgia hit me the moment charlie was fighting that zombie
I played as a rogue. It is really fun in groups, but I enjoyed it as a solo even more. The sheer panic created from emerging from the shadows and instantly murdering the squishy out of a trio allows for some fun 1v3's. Even if you don't win, you know you've most likely caused one player to die and the rest to mince through their heals and health bar. The best is killing someone then running, only to reappear later and get a second kill on the same group. My best game I killed 11 players as a solo rogue. 2 trios, a duo and 3 solos (throwing knives are underrated af). My best fight however was seeing a trio and running away, only to find them later as they murdered someone I just became friendly with and I avenged him by trapping them In a narrow hallway between me on one side and a horde of mummies on the other.
Also barb is really fun too. Your prey desperately trying to run away after you just appeared from around the corner to headshot them for 2/3 their hp. Them, closing doors behind themself as they try to run and heal. But doors mean nothing to you, as you swing your axe and instantly break the door, making the time they wasted to stop and close the door absolutely valueless. Also caving heads with wide swings is satisfying.
So far the game seems like if escape from tarkov was a rogue like and battle royale mixed together. The collecting loot and escaping to keep the loot gained really makes it feel like tarkov.

i feel like the circle is a bit weird for a game like this, it needs something to bring players closer but a circle? would rooms collapsing not fit better? like you hear some rumbling and then there is a 20-30 second timer for the roof to collapse in said room or hallway making it instantly kill you if you are in it aswell as removing that room from the map, making the map smaller while having some other properties aswell. such asbig chest rooms being more valuable as it can be destroyed, ressurection altars in rubbles making lategame fights more of a gamble. right now if you die lategame just bring up a map and look where the closest ress is, drop a pot on the floor and ress since the fog barely does any dmg
I got to top 500 kills last playtest, I genuinely played the game for 6 to 12 hours a day whenever I found time. The most addicting game of the year by FAR and its not even out yet.
I love that the most effective form of combat is to wait for the enemy to attack then run in and shiv the fuck out of them

This game gives heavy oblivion vibes but strange enough not Skyrim vibes. It’s definitely the combat and dungeon layout that gives it that feel.
