Being one and working with others whom are, are two different things. I don't believe they were negating her personal experience, but asking if she had worked with others directly who were dealing with issues that she may not be dealing with, in order to have empathy and see the diversity of other people's views and experiences that are not her own, while being of service to others. She may be helping others in a different way, as she expressed, by her content and conversations on her social media platform.

People like Jessica are the reason I still do respect the trans community. I know the media makes it out to be awful, but trans women like her still exist. She’s willing to suffer consequences because of her lifestyle, instead of bringing women into the equation. It’s a very brave and noble thing to do. And maybe she doesn’t pass physically, but her demeanor and mannerisms are the most beautiful thing. It’s closer to feminism than any costume you can put on. No, "transgender" simply means that you don't identify with the gender that you were assigned by society at your birth.
