Considering that the topic potentially deals with legislation and therefore could be tipping factor for both liberal and conservative sides, it's a pity that this was the one chosen to be paywalled.

I think LGB is very different than TQIA+. Lesbians, gay, and bisexual was about who you love and want to have sex with because that deviates from heterosexuality. The TQIA+ is about IDENTITY and who you ARE as a person. Neither is better or worse. But they are DIFFERENT

Two things that would improve this show substantially:
1. Include a moderator who prevents speakers from repeatedly interrupting others.
2. Provide “fact check” notes that appear onscreen so we can see what the speakers are referencing.
I double Jubilee will do either, because they are driven by profit rather than a real desire to promote informative conversation.

I see a lot of people giving Becky and Julia praise but I also want to give a shout to Kennedy and Pamela! Pamela didn’t get to speak much but Kennedy definitely was able to get her thoughts across and remain respectful while disagreeing and I don’t see enough people mentioning her!
Kennedy likes to tell people new definitions of words as if her definition is correct. It’s annoying to me.
It is basically a self-led, open floor debate - there was plenty of opportunity for them to speak on these topics. People assert themselves at different levels in conversation, though, for various reasons e.g. temperment, comfort level, interest, knowledge. Bottle line, these individuals know they were invited to a debate style discussion platform.

Ngl, I’m absolutely infuriated by the “liberal” lesbians continually referring to women as “non-men.” Respectfully, my existence as a woman is not relative to men, in the same way that men’s existence is not relative to ours as women. I am a woman because I share specific biological, physiological, and social traits with a large group of people, who are all also women. These similarities would still exist even if men had never existed. Extremely misogynistic take on all these women’s part IMO. Shame on you.

I strongly reject the misogynistic implication that as a woman with PCOS I'm somehow intersex or less womanly. You literally can only have PCOS if you're a woman. Having higher T levels than other women doesn't change my sex, it doesn't make me intersex, and it doesn't make me less of a woman.

She wasn't saying that women with PCOS are intersex or less womanly etc. She was just pointing out that some women require hormones (for medical reasons etc.) and no one ever considers them to NOT be women. She was saying the exact opposite, she was saying you ARE a woman and that no one would ever invalidate you for that. I think it might have gotten confused cos she was listing multiple separate cases.

@@Al-jv7bv usually I agree but lesbian is a specific term to represent a minority that deserves representation. By saying one can be this without actually identifying what it is you actually hurt those that do identify with it.
Because for most likely a majority of people their sexuality has a lot to do with genital preference, I think it's an okay id in situations where the non-binary person is assigned female at birth and has not had bottom surgery (they still have female reproductive organs). Maybe they identified as lesbian before realizing their gender identity, and since people tend to stick to familiarity they might still want to id as lesbian. Especially if they use all pronouns or a she/they combination. But that's just how I view it, people have differing opinions.

I like Pamela...she didn't speak much, but when she said what she had it was very wise, she got to the root of the problem and everyone just listened. Americans are very self centered people and they definitely don’t care about you and your problems because the world revolves around them. As a total outsider, the problem seems to be language. Words are getting re-defined causing chaos.
Americans are all very lucky they weren't born in the Middle East. So lucky that they create their own struggles just so other's can feel bad for them.
I HAVE LITERALLY BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS. So much of our issues as a whole is just…it's language. People get confused over what others are trying to say, but they only have their own experiences to fall back on, so it just ends up in this constant loop.
Language is the root of it for sure, but the problem now is that they’re using these new definitions to justify invading spaces that used to be just for lesbians or just for women
But words like "they/them" as singular pronouns have been used for centuries already. That hasn't been redefined - more people are just being exposed to it and don't seek to learn.

I love that Pamela spoke up about language being the main divider in these topics. It points out, in my opinion, that we may be more similar in our thoughts than we think, but that language is what divides us. It's often what divides generations, it's what makes it hard for us to understand each other.
yeah, but i feel like they were wrong to dismiss to "it's just language" that divides them. language is HUGE. my main issue with the liberals is how they fail to explain how being inclusive on languages can translate to being inclusive on rights and acceptance. if you don't explain how those are related, than it becomes a discussion without any impact.
Great point. The laws vs acceptance conversation was a big takeaway from this video. It seems they found middle ground on need for acceptance, but not legislature. Excellent mention of a forgotten conversation from the leftists that may have connected the two for the conservatives. I think there was an attempt when protection was brought up. I'd love to see this group react to the LGBTQIA+ Christian middle ground from last month. I think they're both at fault. As a moderate, some of Arielle's positions are a little extreme and her behavior is sometimes a little hostile and erratic, but Amber's opinions are also totally unhinged sometimes. They both just changed for the worse, I think.
What really gets me is the conservatives saying that just because laws are put in place doesn't mean people have to follow them, and then they don't understand that laws don't really provide equal rights to gay people. Also saying straight couples also have issues with adopting but not acknowledging that it's not because of their sexuality is so ignorant. In Sasha's own words, "Make it make sense."

Conservative does not mean what was described by the person in the blue patterned shirt. Being conservative, doesn't mean keeping things a certain way, it's not "Conserving" as in protecting things to be the same. Conservative is meant to be used as the definition of conservative that means less. As in less government, less control by authorities, more freedom and and local control instead of federal control. This drives me crazy because it's such a common misinterpretation of what being a conservative is.
modern conservatives don't push for those things. they're more into beefing up police, controlling bodies, more weapons, and sadly, promoting more segregation among ethnic groups.
