    I really appreciate ECHO sending us this power saw to try out and compare against our other brand saws like STIHL, Husqvaran, McCulloch. This saw really impressed us with the light weight and yet had lots of power 59.8cc engine :)
    We are excited to have this saw in our rotation of working saws.
    We hope you enjoy this video. Be sure to watching the unboxing of this saw as well.

    Now, I bought that exact saw 7 months ago and I will say it beats every saw I have ever ran.
    I've ran Stihl, RedMax, Husqvarna, Makita, Poulan, Jonsered, McCulloch, Homelite, and Dolmar.
    The Echo saw out preformed all of them.
    I have 3 Echo chainsaws now and I use them at least 3 time a week.

    • @jamessciutto6156
      @jamessciutto6156 3 роки тому +1

      @Michael Hiers it out preformed everything. Me and my friends ran the Echo CS-590 Timberwolf against equivalents from Stihl, Makita, Husqvarna, Dolmar, and Poulan Pro in a contest on a log 18 inches across.
      Here's the results.
      #1: Echo
      #2: Husqvarna
      #3: Makita
      #4: Stihl
      #5: Dolmar
      #6: Poulan Pro
      We also did reliability tests.
      Echo was the most reliable after sitting for 2 months with starting with 4 pulls of the rope, Dolmar 5 pulls, Husqvarna and Makita 7 pulls, Stihl 9 pulls, Poulan Pro didn't start without starting fluid.

    • @jamessciutto6156
      @jamessciutto6156 3 роки тому

      Go for Echo. Mine has been through hell and back countless time. It's been dropped, kicked, thrown, ran over, etc. and it's still going.
      It's expensive, but it's worth every dime. Just make sure you run it slow for 2 tanks of fuel. After that, run it hard all the time and it'll be the best saw you ever had.
      You have to run it hard. If you run it light, it will start lagging on throttle response and won't run right.

      @bigbore4498 3 роки тому

      Pull the plug and the air filter. Let it air out and check the plug for fouling. If you turn the saw on it’s side and run it, they have a habit of flooding and being VERY hard to start.
      Simple fix: After running it on its side, turn it to the upright working position, give it a few squeezes of the throttle, and let it idle for about 15 seconds.

    We've ran both Stihl and Echo for going on 40 years. Stihl is NOT what it used to be. Echo, however, still has that sweet positive power and easy starting without temperament. I got this Timberwolf saw thinking it would be closer to the Farmboss in comparison, but it's not. It's closer to two to three steps up with the MS 311 and 391. This saw is impeccable in power, low vibration, and ease of use. Being able to just start out and go is just a bonus. All our equipment, from trimmers, blowers, and saws have always been like this for starting when comparing the Echo to Stihl.

    • @WilliamStewart1
      @WilliamStewart1 3 роки тому

      I agree that Stihl is just not what it used to be. I feel like Husky has truly taken over the number 1 spot with echo quickly approaching tbe number 2 spot. Once they expand to more professional saws who knows, they might even take over for Husky.

    I have an Echo CS 400, it sits on my shelf in the garage. I've started it twice in 2 years. Echo's are crap, the Timberwolf is their only decent saw. I use my 15 year old McCulloch...

    The Echo chainsaw has thankfully gone the way of the Edsel. Lots of hype for mediocre equipment. Try as they may, they fail daily to match Husqvarna.

    Don't start a chainsaw between your legs. That's not a good idea. Unless you are bigfoot just put your foot on the handle on the ground and crank it.
