Stamatis Stabos
This is the coolest lol
Does the program come with trumpet and sax sounds?
@@PaykoeTsunami93 it's not a midi instrument...... Is a guitar audio to midi convertor. No sounds at all come with it.
Imagine going back in time and telling people back then that in the future a guitar will be a piano
Fun fact: a piano is a guitar, hence a guitar being a piano was not much of a stretch to begin with
I've been dreaming of this since grade school. Thank you sir!
this isn't what I was searching for, but it was just what I needed to find lol
SAME!
Same x)
BIG FACTS
Looking for guitar to bass and found this, no regret
Yep!
I got the Jam Origin vst over a year and a half ago, and I think I play more around with other sounds than the guitar itself. It is so much fun.
Thanks very much! I'm working on a power metal album but cannot play the keyboard to save my life, so now i can finally compose some awesome stuff from my Nucleus Core library
I was just wondering how to use my guitars as a controller, so I have to try this. Thanks :D
This video is way underrated, I subscribed!
I loved that idea, not playing other instruments with a guitar, but, creating sounds with a guitar, like mixing a guitar sound with a synth sound, thanks for the tutorial 😁
The second method has problem with latency?
no same as the first, but you must have very clean pickups
This was extremely helpful, sick guitar!
That intro is exactly me! thanks for an entertaining and informative vid.
I have been scratching my head for years on how to go about doing this without shelling out even more money on gear, Big Thanks!
I found this video and I can't wait when I get back home to try it, 2hr of work left!
Dude😂
I just was your comment saying 3 hours ago...
I tried this.. it's awesome and works thanks to this guy
Get your work done and try it 😂
1:22 bassists get offended
😂😁

He's always late. Now its time to kick him out.
5:20 love that sitar sound, jamorigin very cool software and great playing on the guitar!
Wow, man! Thank you so much! This definetely can help in recording
Thanks Artem! Glad I could help 🎶🎸
Excelent, thank you for your works, is perfect! Greeting form Argentina
Hola Leandro, te pregunto porque seguramente lo entediste ya ¿Se puede hacer con Cubase o Nuendo así?
Does this work only in reason?
thank you for this tutorial hahaha i can now use my guitar for vst vocoder woooh \m/
Hi. Great video. I understand that the software convert the audio signal into MIDI and than addresses the VST’s. Is it possible to address further to an external hardware (midi) synth? Thanks!
Love your content bro 🔥
So many cool sounds...
The intro drum beat, what is it and can I get those snare and kick sampled?
The violins and ultraviolin sounds? What plug in are they?
Thank you!
Have the exact same guitar, lovely!
Hi, a question please. With this way, can i write on mu daw like fl studio? I explain better, can compose on the piano roll of fl studio? thanks
thanks man awesome video
With reatune, how can i record physical velocities? Its always only 127. I can get humanized ryhtm, but not dynamic?
And what about how fast i can play? It doesnt take 16notes at certain tempo..
Great, Stamatis!
I have a Scarlett 18i8 with Jam Origin Midi Guitar 2 and a cheap Squire Strat. I have had trouble with ghost notes.
If I play a phrase on keyboard with RealGuitar 2 and record the audio Midi Guitar 2 can correctly, without errors translate it back to MIDI.
Are you aware of some setting on the Scarlett which would help, or possibly a suggestion for a filter which would clean up the input?
I am also aware that the problem may be PEBCAG (Problem exists between chair and guitar!)
I was looking to buy a guitar midi controller, pretty sweet...and free. The keyboard part at the beginning reminds me of a frustrated person on an infomercial.
HELLO...
Is it possible to do this with Android mobile or Tablet if we have various plugins ?
if yes please help me in detail...
Σταμάτη είσαι θεός!
Ευχαριστώ για το βίντεο!
Great man!!!🤘🤘🤘
brother. what song is playing in the backround? just on spotify listening to your music. no lie, it's godlike. can't wait to hear more man

Best video ever, thank you.
is there any kind of hit dynamics with this or is a soft strum the same as a hard strum?
Thank you so much for your explanation, it's very useful. Does these methods only support single pitch? what about converting to midi chords when you use all the 6 strings of the guitar?
yes there is an option for semitones and scale filter
Hi, I have a problem with the first method... The sound of my guitar can be recorded in midi but I can't configure the second track to have my vst playing simultaneously. Anyone can help me ? I use Reaper v6.05. Thanks !
Can you do guitar strumming in midi files? I need to use in my styles that i create in cubase, to put in my korg pa4x. Can you help me? Thanks
Hi!!! Could you tell me please, how to do that in Cubase 8 pro
How do you handle polyphonic playing? Afaik, this is for single note progressions, but you show chords in your intro.
Exactly I need some midi chords too
Very good!
how did you record the audio of your daw and video? at the same time or did you line them up separately?
hi! great video : ) , whats the vst plugin you use in 6:17 ? i really like it !
Hello, I only have an electric guitar. Can you tell me what I need to make it have those sounds like you please? I am new to midi and know nothing whatsoever, so please make your answer really detailed (midi for dummies version) Thank you👍😁
I need a hardware solution, with polyphony and a switch (between outputting on to the MIDI, and just outputting to the rest of the rig)
,nice。a question:where can find those vsts downloads?
i hope tutorial for bandlab app to use guitar for midi controller. Thankyou
Wow can I use this for midi programming? tnx
Can this be done on mix craft 9?
Is there any cord/cable that use
I dont have this layout so idk what that button "MAR" is because i don't have that option to just push it and a thing happens........... so fristrating.. method 1 is the one im focusing on
how did u do ultraviolin sound can u explain for us
6:00 I see what you did there. :3
How your routing the guitar to interface?
a half a minute in and I can see we relate very much.
Link to ReaTune vst? It is not part of the reaPlugs pack
What were you playing when you showed off method 1 in program
Awesome!
It seems as if the violin sounds are polyphonic!
But they can't be, right!?
Or can they....?
what plugin or program are you using?what is your guitar plugged into?
Can we please get a video of a bass guitar using midi to manipulate a record player like a djay?
Very new at all this... will this work in bitwise?
Do u know how to this in Garageband? Thanks man
Awesome work 🔥
Holy sh:t this is awesome! Thanks for the demo!!
whats the name of the song played in the ultraviolins?
I don’t know why when I use it it always hit the lower note but I didn’t play it, especially when strumming.. How to deal with it???
How do you do polyphonic with your method? The methods you explained are only for monophonic playing. thanks
Playing chords in guitar is polyphonic only.
Basically any harmony is polyphonic
Thank you !!!
You're welcome! 🎹🎶😃
Can you record drum patterns in Midi guitar?
This is so awesome, I have no idea how I only just now started looking into this. What audio interface do you use? I just ordered a focusrite scarlett solo 2.
Nice! i use the Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, i have link in descriiption (show more) with all the products i use
Hi! Thanks for the demo but... Which VST are you using for polyphonic emulation? At 1:06 till 2:15. Thanks!
Thanks, the piano is from Ez Keys or V Piano by Arturia, the violins is String Session 1 you can find it for free works with Kontakt
any1 know if/how this works for ableton?
Nice video dude, may I ask you wich vst did you use for the sitar sounds ? Thanks
Thanks, it's India Discovery Series works with Kontakt by Native Instruments
i really dont understand this.....
if i figure this out will i be able to play the guitar in RUST as a midi keyboard ?
Can you plz list the software you are using.......and the setup......
I really don't understand the part at 4:22 ... Where do you take the fx midi guitar and where do you get the vst ? And how to use it please.. Thank you !
I have open the FX browser to a window (docker) go to View and select FX or press Shift+F
what about in LOGIC PRO?
Jamorigin is a really good bit of software but does cost quite a lot of money if you’re not too well off. The demo is great fun to play with but understandably times out after a minute or so. I don’t mean any of this as criticism, just a heads up.
amazing
What's The name of The violin vst?
This is fucking awesome! I can't wait to give it a try, thanks for sharing!
Can this work with Garageband ?
In theory this would also work with a vocal input? I mean, I know there are vocoders, but it would be fun to try!
yes it will work and i've tried it, but then vocals usually glides thereby generating many passing midi notes, after a while it becomes tedious cleaning them and you'll go back to midi controller. even this method (guitar) generates many harmonics/passing notes too.
@@retsmej thank you for your reply.
I've still not put the subject of the video into practice, but that makes a lot of sense. I think sticking with my vocoder is the most piratical to do what I'm looking for.
Again, thank you.
Can I do it in cubase?
what do u use for reduced latency? plz do a video explaining. thank for this one, btw.
Thanks all you need is a focusrite audio interface and a good coputer with 8core cpu and 16GB RAM
I tried this with reaper on my mac with 16 gigs of ram and quad core i7 cpu. I had latency issues. I have set buffer to 64 samples. My vst effects have no latency issue. But this one has. Any ideas ?
I have been having issues since the v6 update.Cuckos forums banned me for complaining about it.Reaper sucks.
@Libertarian Infidel Yes I do. Focusrite 2i2.
how did you connect it to the pc and will it work on bass guitar. i am trying to get my bass guitar connected or played as a midi. plz help
you need a audio interface to connect you bass to the pc here is the video how to do it: ua-cam.com/video/i1KKpl9WGLQ/v-deo.html
Holy Fuck, I wanted to learn synths for their Sounds and to use vsts and to learn guitar for how its played, u solved my dilemma !!
La respuesta es muy lenta, cómo se ajusta la respuesta del instrumento en tiempo real?
I’m trying to hook up my Dg 20 and assign the strings different sounds. I’m lost
J'y
Would you mind telling me where you pirated the Jam Origin plugin from? Is it safe?
I tried the first method with my bass: I think, because of the low frequencies, the tuner often makes mistakes, and I have weird noises coming froom the VST. Should I try with a guitar instead?
For anyone else having this problem try setting the window size higher in the tuner.
can it work with cubase as well ? :) , awesome vid man!:)
Anybody know if this is possible in DAWs outside of Reaper too, like maybe FL Studio?
Only with Midi Guitar 2 software or a midi guitar controller, not in the box.
Its not Polyphonic? U can only make melodies? Im having latency and Mono only here...
Amazing.
Anyway you could spend an eternity (or even just point me in the right direction) of getting a bass guitar to do this with FLStudio?
bass guitar dont work well but here is a tutorial for fl studio ua-cam.com/video/Eg_PF2YMkXs/v-deo.html
So how did you do this !
Nice video where did you get some of those synth sounds from they sounded neat
from "arturia v collection" the best check it out
Now what would really be cool is to use a Guitar in tandem with a Guitar-sample plugin like Solaris. You can be your own Andy Summer ;-) Theoretically, anyway.
I need to know, where did you get the Rehab center ost sound?
same, i need that sound
Realivox Blue - credit to the uploader
Thank you! i love the sound of the ultraviolins, from which kontakt library are those?
Hi! its the "Session Strings"
@@StamatisStabos Thanks, is it the pro version? And what patch?
Love the content, some very nice tips for DAW work and unorthodox instrument use! What VST/sound bank are you using at 6:17 for the vocals? Take my sub!
Thanks! its called "Shevannai - The Voice of Elves" you can use it with Kontakt
@@StamatisStabos Bro, would you be mad if I sampled that for a song? I'm not sure when, but that sounds very cool. Would I have to give you credit? I rarely ever sample because I am paranoid I would get sued.
@@therealdarklizzy yes I did it that for fun you can take it "Shevannai voices of the elves" it's a software not a song name ✌️
@@StamatisStabos I looked up the software, but I am not sure if it is supported for other DAWs. I might still credit you if I use it, if you want.
Strongly advise using Midi Guitar by JAM ORIGIN as it is polyphonic.
