- Homie's bike wasn't rolling as it should. Had a quick look at his Cassette and diagnosed that it needed a complete overhaul to check out what was up. I found the main sealed bearing was shot and replaced it with a brand new one.

Nice informative video. Question: i just bought my son a Legion L20 bmx from a third-party website. And rear tire axel nuts aren't there. What size do you recommend as a good size axel nuts? Bei g that his axel is the same as this one your wirking on.
thank you for sharing this video.. it so very helpful for me.. 😊 My hub is the same that hub.. more videos about bmx . 😊
Glad to be of help
Very very helpful. I also followed the last steps. Subscribing and refreshing 😂😂Funny
can you name all the parts cause i wanna fix my rear hub ang tryna change the parts
Could you put a Freewheel set up into that Hub cuz I'm thinking of doing that
No you can't. Because the way freewheel hubs are designed, they have threads on either or both ends of the hub where it would screw on
U are best !!!
No info about this on russian u tube.
Tnhx a lot, bro!
You're welcome 🙏🙏
very cool video ive never had to rebuild a bmx hub but i been thinking about it. The only thing i would mention from my experience rebuilding mtb hubs they get dirty and dusty fast.
is use isopropyl alcohol or some kind of solvent to clean the parts it will have them shining in no time and also if you have a shop of some sort in your area buying new ball bearing will make the rebuild possible over and over again they are very cheap. If you use the same ball bearings too much the races or rolling surfaces of the hub will be damaged and roll rougher in the future or make them un ride able. But if you dont have anything but grease you could probably do this 2-3 times and just throw the hubs out or maybe they would still be good you just have to inspect the races and parts who knows.
Very good video nice music all that.
Thanks man.
For these hubs I try and be on alert for the maintenance. And yes, the ball bearings are so dirt cheap I have a stock of different sizes for them. So whenever I get to do a rebuild and they're lookia bit sus, I just throw some new ones on there, some thick grease and it's good to go. The open hubs are super delicate and even riding the bikes through water or some muddy terrain can be problematic.
@@KamaarhKenn yeah it's pretty cool with maintenance you can make parts last a very long time. How often do you have to service those ? What kinda of hub is it?
This one is a semi-sealed hub. Has a sealed bearing on one side of the axle and ball bearings on the other. For me, I used to service mine whenever I got bored, which was very very often, like every other week 😂😂. But I upgraded to a fully sealed hub and that one doesn't require any maintenance at all. Just a grease check like once a month or two and it keeps rolling on until the sealed bearings wear out after quite a long time.
Wow I lot of writing and u can buy one
Clean job
Thank you
@@KamaarhKenn does same method in front?
Check these 2 videos. There's 2 different types of front hubs and I showed how to work on them separately.

Hello, i have a question,, what Size of the bearing ball to that hub because that hub is same to my hub.
Best way to get the size is to get one of the bearings and use them as samples at your local bike shop
Can you change the gearing on a cassette hub? I don’t want a 9t cog..
You'd have to get a cassette hub with more teeth on the cog.
Hello, what Size of the ball bearing inside the Driver pawls
I'm not sure what size dimensions they are exactly, but you can pull the ones off your bike and use them as samples at your local bike shop to get replacements
Could you tell me the number of bearings used plz
@@jaytee7895 which ones exactly?
Awesome video
Thank you 🙏🙏
What kind hub is this do you know what's brand is this
I guess it is a Quando. The label had been scrubbed off so I can't remember what exactly it was
I know this hub.... Matter of fact I ride this hub 😹 literally 😂
😂😂😂 The master himself
Seems pretty easy never done it looks easy asf
It is, if no nuts are seized on the axle. 10, 20 minutes and you're done with a rebuild
@@KamaarhKenn cool 😎
@@KamaarhKenn still want that S&m shield wrapped top load stem you got 🙏🙏
Back again with this horrible hub
Over here they're pretty common and they break a lot. So rather than fix everyone's hub I encourage them to just go ahead and try doing the rebuilds themselves
