It seems i was wrong about Nina. Thought her power crush heat engager was safe. That definitely puts her down the list quite a bit. Apart from her and panda, i still think every character is in the right place for the most part
From what I've seen of strong Nina players and from what I've learned when trying her, she definitely looks like S-tier material, though not top3. She just demands a lot from the pilot, both requiring muscle memory and matchup experience. She got a new move in Tekken 8, d/b+1+2, an i11 wall-splatting high-mid that also heat engages which imo can make her punishment really insane as long as you know your opponents block frames.
Shaheen was a sleeper high A-Tier character. He has fantastic mix-ups, is deadly during Heat, and has arguably the easiest means of deleting recoverable hit points in the game. His damage output and wall carry are also potent with ws3 loops, although the loop is execution-intensive.
I pretty much agree with all the placements! Maybe lili is a bit stronger? Im playing her myself and damn she strong. And i think yoshi is a underrated this dude is insane!
Yoshi is overrated, he lost so many tools from t7 and just got some cheap stuff in return that will be easy to counter once people get used to it People just like to spam nonsensical offense in this game and flash catches that sort of stuff a lot of times... thats why many people feel he is strong.. but once you get into real tekk3n, people will bait flash every time...
He ain't S tier cause he doesn't have the ridiculous lock down like the S Tiers He's pretty predictable cause every set up Is going for a crouching status and it's obvious unless you have a senior citizen reaction time.
tbh after this patch, I’d say jun is probably A-B tier now, the health decrease with kazama moves are in insanely aids now. u could step her heat smash if the first hit whiffs. Nerfed her buttons and you must sacrifice health with her just to not eat a full combo normal hit. she needs a buff id say.

As a Nina main I disagree. She's as good as A not S. The power crush heat engager you're referring ro is not safe necause it's -14 on block. Most of her strings are dockable. If you know the matchup she's not really good.
Exactly my point. And if you've seen Evo Japan top 6 you would see how Infested struggled against Double as Double pretty much knew how Nina's strings work.

The way infested played her opened my eyes in a new style that i am labbing and trying out, its been a couple days and i have seen massive improvements in my mixup game, id reccommend watching and analyzing infesteds nina. what makes her very strong imo is her power crush when she is in heat, it is a heat dash, also she has lots of tools to remove recoverable health which is very strong (B1+2, DF2+4, chain throws) especially as she does a lot of chip damage in heat and even without heat, another thing is her combo damage, she does A LOT of damage sure the execution is hard but still. but yes i agree with you, she is A tier not S. i feel like her gameplan is more chip your opponent down with chip damage and try land counter hits and whiff punishes when they get fed up of being chipped down. i think she is in a great place right now which is why they didnt touch her and dont plan on changing her in june. maybe tune her combo damage down by 10 damage and i think shes fine! if they nerf chip damage all together then that will hit her though imo. sorry for the rant but yeah
@@BustaNAugusta She isn't. The df3,2~db2 is only doable on a proper axis and isn't consistent compare to Dragunov's. Most of the time you're forced to end your juggle early because of the off axis. If you know the matchup she's really not good especially on high level plays you're gonna struggle with her. Just take a look on how Mangja destroyed Infested during Japan Evo.
steve is bottom 3 no joke. he needs some serious buffs to compete in this new type of tekken. if you see a killer steve then it is 100% the pilot outplaying you and not the character.
Tbh I'm mixed on zen u1 vs T7 zen 1+2. Range and it being a mid is REALLY nice, but it being a low damage starter is tragic. I miss doing bazillion damage with zen 1+2
They didn’t know what they wanted to do with the Azazel’s Power (hereafter “AP”) gimmick either. The patch notes were talking about using AP for pressure, but the only AP move that was positive was MNT d/f+1. That makes AP moves mere combo enders since she’d do recoverable damage to herself to give up her turn and AP moves are too slow or stubby to use as Power Crush during Heat.

I dont think yoshi belongs in A tier anymore. Too many gameplay issues such as going under characters intending to juggle and missing out on 40+ damage, whiffing and inconsistency on the wall etc. He's really good in this game compared to previous titles, but no A tier. I watch eyemusician and even he deals with what I mentioned, of all people.
To see devil jin and kazuya on A tier after evo result just made me speechless. People should stop saying dvj psycho crusher op and just see the hero as a whole. If Asuka's db1 and 2 were low and mid instead of mid and high, she would be broken. Asuka is just not playable at high levels unless you're a professional or a specialist.
Damn, you find annoying Alisa chainsaws, but Leroy is ok? I dont get it. You can step all of her mids on the left, and her 2 slow homing moves you can interupt or duck, so always great reward. Now we have Leroy, after his lows you cant step his mids, your only option is duck or stand. I just prefer fighting against Alisa in mixup situation. She need to outplay me, sidestep to get her dmg. Leroy can just spam + frames entire game. The same goes for Azucena, i like this matchup, her runing move is +5, her ch launcher i17, lows are just weak, the worst runing move, if we compare to other characters she can only do poke dmg after this, while victor can just ch launch me for trying to interupt after runing move, or loop situation with his low if I do nothing.

@@tristanherb49 back sway positive frames side sway after attack. Crazy combos crazy damage 1 1 2 guarantee punish. Back 3 goes into good combo. Heat moves are damn near guaranteed. Like the duck in grab mix up. Even if they brake u can still get the upper hand if they re-engage.
Only thing keeping Bryan in “B” is his combo damage, that is much harder than most characters to pull off consistently. Other than that Bryan might as well have waited to be DLC he’s so lacking in this game.
70% of the cast is BROKEN. dont act like as if theres only 5 characters that are top 5... We are seeing it currently in the tourneys across the world. The line up is the most diverse we have ever seen. In T7 we see the same characters over and over again. It is not the case now. And every character can win as we are seeing in the current results. Becoz 70% of the cast have there own OPcrap or gimmick going on. Some which are just more clear and easier to see, like for example dragnunov. So people immediately complained about him. but in reality, a lot of cast have some OPcrap going on.

Frr. Only problem with King are counter hit grabs and heat smash that are broken imo. Putting reina in the same tier as Feng, Dragunov, Xioyu and Jun is CRAZY. She has terribile tracking and all terribile lows that can be punished. Enough to be at least a tier under.

You have a window where any grab succeeds after a PC, so that should help. Should even work after a jab.
