Its just dumb those crouch nerfs, she is way down there. Xiao and other are laughing.
Fc series nerf was really a bs nerf. Its both nonsense and being lazy in a sense that the animation itself is seen as reina almost lying down. Hows is that making sense when she can still get hit by a freakin high jab? It lazy cause devz just didnt bother putting effort into making it have sense. So jab has magical properties now when fighting reina that if they hit air they can also hit reina even tho she is almost lying down? What nonsense and laziness. The ff2 for me is overnerf. The could just remove the tracking to one side like demon paw but instead almost literally made the move useless(a little more itll become useless). Reina is already a high difficulty character at least give her tools thatll reward her for it. Ff2 for me is what makes her unique aw well as the fc series alittle more nerf and itll become useless and shell end up as another mishima copy destroying her personality

Ff2 nerf was fine delaying it adds skill. The manji geri nerf was terrible in a game design sense
We get nerfed this bad, yet Xiao is allowed to be fully intangible in SSL AOP.
Nah what’s bs is that they replaced heihachi with this character. I do not like her character design and how small she is.

The change to FC4 is the dumbest thing ever, because her backturned 4 will also get clipped, worst change ever
I’ve just replaced a lot of Unsoku moves with EWGF, a-lot of her Taido stance moves are just baits now, because I’ll just cancel them to do Mishima attacks

@@championreddyeah and Zafina/Ling players are evading not even highs but mids as well in their stances. What's so special about Reina that she had to be nerfed that way while those bs characters stayed the same?
@@stanislavchugunov that’s character specific they can’t evade everyone’s mids stop regurgitating what you heard your favorite UA-camr says and actually try and learn a mu noob
I can accept other nerfs, but the crouch kicks literally displays Taido's evasion. Now they can punch air and hit her while laying on ground, that's super lazy of the devs, atleast alter animation to match the new hurtbox poor indie company.
Yeah, nerf made no sense😂 Taido should be a part of her core identity

I think her f3+4 roll kick is probably the dumbest of all the changes. Your telling me I am high crushing until the moment I throw out the kick? How the hell does that make sense, people see you rolling and can just mash high attacks and you will never win the interaction. Like what is even the point. All it's useful now is for setup on wake-up and even then, if they see you rolling, just mash hand the fastest move in the game to beat the kick anyways. All it's good for now is to start rolling and cancelling into crouch and then hope they do a high and launch with FC df3 and if they don't you die on block.

Took a week to adjust to the new changes mainly just the basic ones like sidestep buffs. But mainly I feel like I don’t need to change a lot
She lacks a lot of tools and seems too linear without much variety in her game plan. She will get weaker and weaker once people get more and more used to her.
alot of people already cancel her sentai moves, like low jab and other. this is so sad
I just recently started playing her after having played kazuya for 4 months, and this is my sentiment, a lot of what Reina has feels fake, she needs a real hellsweep.
She has nothing to punish high pressure , that’s the problem, everything else is ok . Tell me the advantage I get on a perfect high read?? Everyone else can launch me for big damage lol Jin and many others are privileged with WS 2 to launch did 80 damage

Reina crouches opponent's attack : loses to Jab when trying to punish
this is the thing I've noticed pkaying against other characters like jin. Did you discover any proper punishes yet for high whiffs😅

Even i block the low and using ws 33 hw the enemy is not pressured only with heaven wrath
They just can spam the jab
Or just armor after i use 3+4 4
Mostly i keep ducking if they use armor
And ff2 12 is bad too. Cant break the enemy armor move since we do it first😅
And never meet other Reina since this patch, played like 3 weeks right now

Could you please do a video going over Reina combos from off axis please? I have a hard time making any of her combos work if i launch the opponent with their back turned to me or even slightly side turned, thanks would be greatly appreciated!
These nerfs hurt a lot especially the Crouch status moves.
i whiff WAY less with the nerf now that i have to pay attention to spacing on ff2 lol
Im fine with the nerfs, gives reina haters less excuses for when they get outplayed. Just wished that with the stomp nerf they considered reducing recovery on hit so that going for her highest damage ender on her combos (which was just reduced) wont mean she eats a garanteed toekick when at the wall. What other character gets punished for going for max damage combos like her?

Just so you know. Reina with all the Nerf is now at C tier. prove to us you're doing well and promote your reina to next level. instead being here and saying its all fair. Im thinking of deleting tekken or switching to another char.
She’s only mid in terms of tournament play, Reina still cooks in pubs. Hworangg is one of the worst Characters in the game yet kwiss made top 8 with him. Stop crying and learn the character or go meta chase if you ain’t good enough

Dude she sucks now. She gets so little reward and has to work so hard for the damage. I mean df4 is great and all but it seems like other characters can just throw out BS moves and get insane damage.
FC3 still goes under highs and long-lasting high attacks. It's supposed to be the move to use in that Alisa situation. It's good that FC4 doesn't overshadow FC3 anymore.
I was just about to mention this. I actually think this is a good change personally.
It would be better if they just removed fcdf4 from the movelist and made another move instead. Or made it more punishable on block. Or slower.. Or whatever but not what they've done lol.
@@stanislavchugunov Should have changed it to a slow low launcher. At least that would make it distinct from fcdf3.
After 2 Months with nerfed Reina i can safely say this REMOVE CROUCHING STATE FROM A CLEARLY CROUCHING MOVE was really stupid. Other characters has some really OP Highcrush moves like Jin D2, Yoshi has an UNBLOCKABLE HIGHCRUSH LAUNCHING LOW....... etc... So i dont understand WHY the devs had to remove crouching state SPECIFICALLY FROM REINA..... WHY????? Its literally stupid.....
For the combos i had to relearn almost all of my combos except 1 from CD3 CH because the old ones dropped like 80% of the time and i almost quit the game because of it..... And the new ones still dropping sometimes at the 2nd DF1 or the SEN1+2. So Reina went down from S tier to low A tier in my opinion. This was a really huge and really stupid nerf.
The FF2 nerf was fair i dont have any complains but all of the other nerf was stupid...
Ohh and they BUFFED KING xDDDDDD Because thats a healthy stress factor that he can now wavu mixup you xDD WOW....
I couldn’t agree more so many characters have high evasive moves and they took Reina away I don’t understand this at all I wish they put it back how it was before but I don’t think it’s gonna happen don’t see ppl complaining about it enough
ff+2 is not bad at all. cause all reina follow ups are subjected to crouch block or interup on high. even the best reina player switch to dragunov on tourney. and btw reina has the least amount of frame trap of all char. and she is a Mishima! execution is important!

Its already bad enough that you can jab Reina out of lots of hers moves already especially those that involve sentai, and now you can high jab me out of my crouching moves as well? Yet characters like Paul get a buff when he already did high damage? 😂
The full crouch nerf on d/f+4 is bigger than you think. She got a LOT of reward for that. It was a homing high crushing 15 frame mid launcher. Reina imo is still strong probably low S tier or high A tier but now her matchup spread is polarizing. Previously, she was stronger than nearly all the characters in general with a few exception (feng Wei, Azu, dragonuv).
Now she has a solid matchup ratio vs the cast without it swaying too much in her favor.
Matchups like Steve, lily, yoshi however have been heavily shifted in the matchup favor.
Where she use to dominate all three convincingly imo, now she loses to Lily, even/loses to Steve (Steve flicker jab strings are now viable vs reina now), and definitely loses to Yoshimitsu. I think solo maining her in a tournament is significantly harder than prior and its probably best to solo main her but have a secondary pick for those cases of character.
Characters with these strong side step or inbuilt side step move just makes it unbearable since 90% of her moveset will be stepped vs those characters even at +5 or +6.
Example, Steve can ALWAYS side step into a weave on player 2 side that destroys heavens wrath mixup completely outside of grab. Against f4, he can just weave to the left and everything except for EWGK (Reina's main tool against these characters now) and b+2 (small ass fucking reward) will be whiffed.
Personally, I think the full crouch d/f+4 nerf was needed but every other evasive option not so much. The reason why FC d/f+4 nerf was needed more than the other option is because it made FC d/f+3 unviable. You could still get nearly the same damage with slightly less wall carry even though it was a frame 20 punish. Now FC d/f+3 has uses since it has full crouching status the entire active frames.
Again I think Reina is still strong floating around low S or high A tier but the matches she loses to are miserable whereas in previous patches (she was too overtuned), she had no bad matchups (just QCB+2 grab if they stepped or ff+2 lol).
To sum, she was mad braindead early on. Everything nerfed imo was needed with the exception of other evasive move like d 3+4 or b3,4
