Many have asked how I make my videos with just an iPhone. So I’ll show you all of the equipment I use, including tripods, gimbals, microphones and iPhone accessories. Along with how I plan, record and edit everything for my channel each week. Hopefully everything I show will help you with how to make UA-cam videos with a phone.

I grew my UA-cam channel to 50k subs in the first year by recording every video on my channel with an iPhone 11 and 12 Pro Max. I’m still using that phone today.

Yap it does mate thanks to you...
This really helps me out. It shows me how I can do this in the future. Thank you so much
I'd really love for you to make the video on your editing
I watch your content on a 4k TV mostly because of how good they look, well done!
It really does and it’s really inspiring too.
You summarized a three month course into 18mins. This is the most comprehensive I have ever seen.
Thank you!
A course? Who would waist 3 months going thorough a course to make UA-cam videos lol? I know there are people always trying to sell something but they are mostly marketing to the dumb and stupid.
@@survivalSCI would I know next to nothing about and these types of vids are really helpful
@@lonnieguthrie5375 I know the videos can help people. My point was the post that said a 3 month course. I just don’t like people paying for a course on how to make a UA-cam video. There are videos for everything on UA-cam. So I was more venting about companies taking advantage of people.
@@survivalSC people who buy the courses do it out of fear. They have no idea where to start and don't want to look stupid when they post. I've built channel's for years with well over 5 billion views but I did it teaching people how to build their channel's, to get views, subscribers and continued growth. I've only ever used the original UA-cam video editor to edit videos myself so learning to use a decent editor scares the crap out of me.
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,220 subs and > 1,000 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
That’s way more then you had before you started!

This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my UA-cam channel about holistic health. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this UA-cam thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! In the same stage as you! This type of video is so helpful.
@@ZarekSilberschmidt Thank you!
Implementing the lessons I learned throughout the years of lots of trials and errors changed my life trajectory and learning that there’s a yin and yang in everything. I wouldn’t have appreciated the power of kindness if someone was not cruel to me. I wouldn’t have realized the importance of growth if I didn’t see myself stagnating. I wouldn’t have appreciated the importance of health if I didn’t get sick. I wouldn’t have realized the importance of real love if I haven’t witnessed my parents’ relationship slowly fall apart. I wouldn’t have appreciated the importance of mindful money consumption if I wasn’t broke. I wouldn’t have appreciated the growth of my UA-cam channel if I didn’t start at 0.

You are so organized and consistent. I didn't even notice this video was 3 years old. It just goes to show that it's easier to start now than it ever was before.
It's becoming really rare to see real-experience educational videos like this one. Your videos are fluff free and aren't about someone reading out a product's spec sheet, instead about your personal experience with the product. Many creators have forgotten that the personal experience bit is what differentiates a UA-cam creator from an ad company.. thanks for keeping it real!!
I appreciate it. Thank you 🙏
Fluff free? Lmao. Whatever that means
@@SpawnPoiint Hi, i am hopeless at this, but can you give a quick guide.
If I make a video about another website that pretends to be news, can i refer to the website by name, or will this cause a problem?
Its a UK website, and the site removes any comments that the site owners do not agree with, which is why I wish to do this.
For example, if the ABC website says this.... and the other side to the story is this....
Thanks.
You got my respect didn’t know you did all this with just an iPhone.
Thanks mate.
I was shocked too. Still am
Not really with just an iPhone
'so i'm not repeating myself again and again, so i'm not repeating myself again and again' I enjoyed that joke far far too much 🤣
Haha good spot
Same XD
Me too😂😂
That was a nice touch to it.
I took your advice and started my channel with nothing but an iPhone and an Adobe Premiere Pro subscription. I’m a little over a month in and already meet the benchmarks for monetization.
The best part is the comments that I get. They keep me going. Thank you for helping me start.
✌️
That’s absolutely awesome. Thanks for the feedback and good luck too 💪
Starting out myself now and feel encouraged by this! I am excited by the content itself but tend to be a perfectionist... it's nice to know it's better to just get started than to hem and haw until I get the "perfect" equipment!
This video is three years old and yet it's just changed my life. Thanks I appreciate
Glad it helped!
For a one man band to do all that work from start to finish with just the essential equipment is pretty amazing.
Thank you.
You actually ironed out many of my doubts and apprehensions about creating content. 'Create what you are passionate about', that line ❤
It is over 2 years ago that you create this video! Never the less it is most inspiring today. A big thumbs up for your work and afford you put in to it!
This was the most comprehensive breakdown of the YT creator process I’ve ever seen! Thank you. 😊
Thank you for watching
Same!
I like that he speaks as though he wants the listener to understand. He doesn’t sound like he’s reading from a script or teleprompter after pounding too much caffeine.
Thanksgiving and Christmas Day you have a great birthday
Alot of valuable content here. I hope to use your methods with my android. Thank you
Thank you man, you make me realize sometimes that I just make excuses for not making videos.
It took me 3 days to watch this video. It’s a compliment. I’ve been extremely busy, but every minute of free time I had, I continued this video until the end.
You tell a story well and provide real actionable advice! Thanks!
This was such a great video! I love seeing how other creators setup their workflow. I try to remember that there are always ways to upgrade your videos each time without spending extra money on gear. Working on scripts, playing with camera angles, learning an editing trick.
This was incredibly comprehensive and exactly what I wish other creators would do when explaing their own pipeline.
“If I can do it, you can do it as well.” Really straight forward and engaging! From your planning strategy, scripting, shooting, editing, and these all go super smooth. Thanks for sharing!!
Bro was so honest and detail that he summary everything a starter need without selling a course. Thank you!
I have no idea what content you create but I admire you showing every detail instead of holding the best cards to yourself. Great work!
Love every second of this video! Simple & affordable tools and setup with professional-looking outcome. Feeling very inspired to shoot more content from iPhone only.
The simplicity inspires me. I feel like my goal is reachable!
I have to say. It's always impressive how you created all your content just using your phone. Definitely inspiration for me to do the same. Trying to make it as easy as possible without all the barriers. Thanks for all the work you do!
Extremely helpful and effective! Great purpose and production.
We are in the process of doing exactly what you’ve explained
I like how genuine you are. I feel like some similar UA-camrs have the vibe of being flashy/cocky deep inside on how expensive their items are. Keep it up mate!
Thanks mate. It's really tough to want to show things, without sounding that way. I have zero desire to come across that way so hopefully that never shows 🙏
I just love how you have created an audience for yourself now from where you started just with with some minimal gear and planning. Now thats the right way of doing it, creating with what you have and what you can afford. Pleasure watching your videos mate.
I just watched your video and I must say that it was really helpful for me. Even though it was recorded in 2021, I found it very relevant even in 2023. Your personal opinion at the end of the video really resonated with me, particularly the idea that one can start a UA-cam channel with just an iPhone and no cost. This is exactly what I have been looking for.
Thank you so much for sharing your insights and knowledge with us. Your video has inspired me to take action and start my own channel using the tools that I already have. Keep up the great work and please continue to share more informative content like this.
Great advice. I picked up my aging Samsung S7 3 weeks ago and went for it. Really unhappy with initial results but uploaded anyway and have no regrets. I've learnt more about UA-cam, content and the process in 3 weeks than I have in the previous 3 years messing about but holding back from uploading. And, it's fun!
Only seeing this a year later, have to say it really hits home with what I've been doing recently, definitely in that starting stage and doing it to get that creative itch scratched. Thanks for all the advice man, super helpful and inspiring!
Thank for sharing the process and insight into what you do and what it takes content creating. Much appreciated, just love the fact that you don’t feel obligated to show your face all the time which is what’s made me put this whole process off for far too long! 😊
Thank you so much for summarizing such a complicated process into something downright accessible!
I appreciate the fact that you kept it simple and kept it real. Thank you!
you're one of the most inspiring and minimalistic youtubers I've ever seen! I frickin love it!
This was excellent…every aspect was poignant, beautifully shot, and well narrated. Thanks!
To have a passion for creating and to be so thorough, it's such a pleasure to watch. And the beauty of this passion is it can be shared with billions. Absolutely well done, I loved you sharing your whole process, all using an instrument we carry in our pockets.
Really inspiring mate. Thank you for making it so comprehensive. I start my own channel with minimum of gears and budget so it is really helped. Really appreciate it.
Great job man! I love shooting with the iPhone, the workflow is fast and efficient. You've got great tips and suggestions
Wow, thank you mate. I appreciate the comment!
i ageee. its so great and i got lots of tips on here and i will use my iphone 12 pro now to use this to record and create my youtube chanel

Your reviews are great too!
bro, I typed up here because I wanted at least you to maybe see this you are the reason I make videos peace and love
Really enjoyed this video. Would be great to see an in depth video on how you edit your videos x
3 years later and this was the most inspirational video I’ve seen. I’ve been doing this since 2016 I wish I would have seen this much sooner. Instantly subscribed to you. THANK YOU!
I have been looking at starting a UA-cam channel just to supplement my blog site and I eventually came across this video. Amazing! Thank you for all the really helpful tips and advice, especially for giving me the confidence to use equipment that I already have including my iPhone 14 Pro.
Agree with most of the comments, no hard selling, no buying overpriced tech to achieve similar results and just bloody honest! Great job
I came here hoping to see what a phone can produce and have left absolutely blown away!! This has answered questions I wasn't even aware I needed to ask. Great work and great honest video 👌🏼
This definitely gave me some inspiration, I felt not having a camera would hold me back from creating good content . So thank you for this very simple break form on how you can STILL make it happen .
Love the video and message/encouragement to just start where you are. Thanks!
Thank you for the honest, clear and detailed walk-through of the entire video making process Chris! Very much appreciated! I had been pushing back putting up videos because of my bridge camera not being "good enough", but didn't think seriously about using my Google Pixel till now! Shared your video with a friend who has a similar conundrum.
Awesome to hear. Glad it helped.
“Shot on iPhone!” 😆 Great video, by the way. Thanks for taking the time to explain with such detail all the work that it takes to create videos for UA-cam!
Thanks for watching too
te adoro chica geek!
That was super helpful! Thank you for sharing your setups, really appreciate the information.
We loved this educational vid!! And you didn't try to sell us a crash course like the other UA-camrs. Genuine stuff here. Keep it up! 💯 🙌🏼
Wow this covered EVERYTHING so well, clear and detailed - Even bits I wouldn't have even considered. Earned a sub from me.
I just wanted to say...Thanks brother for all the tips, ideas, hope and encouraging words to all that wants to start the journey of growing their channel. As this process is currently going on with me even though I had my channel since '06. Just now trying to take my content more serious within last yr.
Good luck dude. You’ve got this.
What a great video, summarizing it all so well! Loved listening to you talking as all your explanations were so clear and calm. A great help as I am going to do my first blog in January 2023. Thanks a million!
This was a pleasure to watch and learn. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you for this detailed breakdown!! I would love to hear from you a video specifically for starters, like a recommended beginner’s kit! Many of these is pretty pricey and so it’ll be good to hear what’s necessary based on your experience. You did touch on it throughout but it’ll be great if there’s a video dedicated to it.
This was a thorough and informative breakdown of the process. Thank you for sharing! Also I would love to see the editing video for sure!
This is exactly what I needed to see. I’ve been thinking of starting a UA-cam channel and I have everything to get going. I appreciate you taking the time to walk us through the process.
Great video. So much useful detail 👌 Thank you for taking an incredible amount of time to bring us a quality video
I’m so grateful the algorithm showed me this video! This is so inspiring for simplicity and focus in making videos instead of getting lost in all the cameras and lenses. Great work!!!!!
Thank you 🙏
You wright some UA-camrs ,make you think that it impossible for a normal person to start a Chanel .
Shot on iPhone!! This is sick, and has motivated me to stop being lazy and get creative.. I 100% would tune in to any editing videos you create
This is by far THE BEST demo of getting a channel started. Thanks so much for everything you've shared, especially that you provided it all in a candid manner that is so refreshing and easy to watch.
Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it 👍
This is incredible! And fun to see 2yrs later, when I was ready for the info, hearing you talk about being at 50k subs - now you’re nearly at 400k! No doubt in my mind why you’ve grown. Well done mate! Thank you. ❤🎉👏😎🙌
This is such a helpful and inspiring video! I appreciate how simple and clearly you laid everything out. It makes me feel a lot less overwhelmed with figuring out where to start with becoming a UA-camr. I would totally watch a video of you focused on solely the content planning and how to stay organized and disciplined as content creator.
Thanks so much for putting this out and look forward to watching your other videos!
Glad it was helpful!
Fantastic content, love how clear, concise, and to the point it is as well as how thorough and transparent you were with providing an entire breakdown of the process start to finish. Youve been an inspiration and I'm subscribing. 👍
Excatly not once did I get bored
Thanks! There were a few things I've been unsure about that you helped make clearer for me. 🙏
THIS VIDEO IS LITERALLY EVERYTHING. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO YOUR COMMUNITY
Great job man! I'm from Brazil and i got inspired with your video. I'll use lots of things that you said on my new channel!

You are much appreciated bro 🙏
You made me change my mind of many things I wanted to buy or start with.
Thank you for this! I’m so inspired.
I can’t help but appreciate the amount of work and detail put into this.
Thank you!
Inspiration is exactly what you gave me🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾well worth the watch!
This is so helpful. Thank you for showing the details of how you make the equipment work. I am saving this video to review over and over again.
Glad it was helpful!
This is by far the most professional & comprehensive youtube-setup journey I’ve ever come across!
Every process is Meticulously prepared & I can see how you enjoy doing every bit of it..
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you! I really do enjoy it!
I love this video. I've been putting off starting a channel myself and this really proves everyone's point that "gear doesn't matter". Over the past couple of years I've been buying more and more gear but never really committed to the whole process. The fact that everything on your channel is filmed with an iPhone gives me that bit of motivation to really get going. I love this a lot man 🙌🏽
Yes mate that’s awesome! Go smash it, sounds like you’re ready now.
An excellent summary of your process. Cheers, mate!
Thanks mate for such great content. This is the most exhaustive guide for me. Thank you and good luck with everything!!!
Hey mate, thank you creating these really resourceful videos. I was just checking out your review on Logitech MX keyboard and decided to check out the rest of your contents. There is a reason why certain channels do better than others, and one can clearly see the effort and passion that go with your video production. Unpretentious, succinct and straight to the point - no gimmicks, no silly antics, just good honest-to-goodness reviews. Love it. And thanks for staying so humble as well - it's a rare trait in today's world.
Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.
This is literally the first video of this kind that I watched till the end. Great content, clear and concise! ✌🏿
Thank you 🙏
Facts! Watched all the way thru!
Thank you so much for your video. I'm looking to get a UA-cam channel up and running but didn't know where to start. Your video brilliantly showed your thought process and your work process and the tools you use.and tips. This is definitely the video I will use in starting my UA-cam creation journey, you have covered the process the best I've seen. Brilliant thank you
It's so detailed, simple and crisp. Appreciate your efforts mate.
“Shot on iPhone” - This is probably one of the most detailed videos I have seen on UA-cam in a long time. Excellent content and definitely motivated me to get cracking on my channel. Thank you and keep up the great work 👍🏻
Thank you mate. Good luck too.
I've revisited this video about 4 times. Just recreated my own iteration of that Excel spreadsheet you've got. Fantastic idea. Thank you so much, man.
That's great to hear, thanks Zack!
I just started my channel 3 weeks ago. This video inspired me a lot to get more creative and to keep working. Thank you very much.
Brilliant video, thank you for taking the time and giving us an insight into your process.
Thanks for explaining the functional use of each product. I always find this most interesting when learning about people's setups or equipment. I can tell your setup was well researched. Love the channel too
Thank you mate
"Shot on iPhone"
You're a massive inspiration. I'm using my phone at the minute, with a few accessories. I'll definitely be picking up some of the gear you've mentioned in this video.
That's awesome mate, thank you. I really hope it helps someone start/improve. I'm a nobody, but if it helps someone else that's the goal.
@@SpawnPoiint soooooo humble as always

Awesome video thank you. I really enjoyed watching this, giving myself a few ideas. Keep up the great content.
I love this video, man, so inspiring to create! Great explanation, great shots. You definitely pushed me over the edge to get a pro iPhone this year and I'm really looking forward to explore video editing more with that high quality resolution and stabilization! I work as a motion designer and think I can learn a lot from exploring video and editing as well. Again, thanks for the inspiration and great presentation!
Making lists and ticking things off as I go makes me feel productive also. Excellent video.
I have to give some respect! The video quality in this video is fantastic, I just found your channel today and glad I did. I also film just on my Apple iPhone 12.
Thanks for this! I’ve been looking for a super easy to digest video on content creation and here it is!
Such a helpful video! Hoping to start putting out UA-cam content soon. Thanks for the tips!
Thank you so much man, I just started putting more interest into my channel. This is amazing
Brilliant work mate, nice and clear easy to understand will be watching more of your work !!
Really appreciate the details you’ve given out in this video. Super helpful 👍🏽
This was a great walk through and set up to help me wrap my head around the process! I also loved the glimpse at your outline of creating an episode. I have been trying to piece together a way to translate the creative ideas I have into something cohesive to build from. I have a theater background and can focus on the elements of creating a "show" but translating to hands on filming and editing was a bit "in the dark" for me. Thanks to this video, I feel really comfortable with a show script outline to start to play with, and a bit less pressure to be "successful" right off the bat. Thank you! 👍🏻
That’s awesome! Thanks for watching and commenting too.
