I just wanted to say...Thanks brother for all the tips, ideas, hope and encouraging words to all that wants to start the journey of growing their channel. As this process is currently going on with me even though I had my channel since '06. Just now trying to take my content more serious within last yr.
Ive had youtube for 18 years. First made this account when it started getting popular around 2006. I wish I started a channel back then, but I was always self conscious about voice recording and being on camera (despite not being so much in person). Always had stage fright, but now that I have a great gaming pc, laptop, decent mic with boom arm, a razer kiyo webcam, and a galaxy s22 with a great camera, ive decided i want to give it a shot. I have a decent amount of life experience at 40, and have been gaming since I was 6 years old. I figure that I should be able to come up with more than enough content. Just have to get used to the process of filming, recording, writing scripts, and editing. Things ive never done before. This is the first video Ive watched about the process and I am thoroughly impressed. I will use your knowledge and do my best. Hopefully someday I can pass the knowledge onto others like you are. Thanks for making your video straight forward and not intimidating. Its nice to know you dont have to put on a mask, and use a fake personality, to get ahead on youtube.
This is by far THE BEST demo of getting a channel started. Thanks so much for everything you've shared, especially that you provided it all in a candid manner that is so refreshing and easy to watch.
An absolutely fantastic video well explained and is awesome to see that you’re still producing content on your iPhone. Hope you read the message and see that people are still watching this video. Three years later well done
Wow, loads of hours gone into making a 15 min clip, loving your workflow process and you are right, do it for your enjoyment of what you love. For me it is gear more to social activities which I love and promoting them as we are coming out as I believe there a need to having a community. Thank you for sharing!
“If I can do it, you can do it as well.” Really straight forward and engaging! From your planning strategy, scripting, shooting, editing, and these all go super smooth. Thanks for sharing!!
This is the most inspiring setup video that I have seen yet. All of your creative solutions were a breath of fresh air. Your setup was created to suit you without all the various expensive studio equipment. And yet you have produced studio quality results. I was feeling a bit hesitant to go full throttle on my setup because I use tablets as cameras, lol. I wanted to use my phone, but the pixel 3a doesn't have an sdcard slot. So I created a setup with 3d printed adapters of my own design to accommodate tablets. The last step is basically to use it. I can honestly say that after watching numerous setup videos, none have made me more excited to embark on the journey than this one. Thank you, sincerely, for taking the time to create this production. I hope you know that your efforts are deeply appreciated. God bless you.
@@alexandrevaliquette1941 Yes, but then I have to physically plug it into something. Because I use tablets that run ftp servers, I can wirelessly transfer the videos files after they are recorded.

I’m so grateful the algorithm showed me this video! This is so inspiring for simplicity and focus in making videos instead of getting lost in all the cameras and lenses. Great work!!!!!
Thank you 🙏
You wright some UA-camrs ,make you think that it impossible for a normal person to start a Chanel .
3 years later and this was the most inspirational video I’ve seen. I’ve been doing this since 2016 I wish I would have seen this much sooner. Instantly subscribed to you. THANK YOU!
Thank for sharing the process and insight into what you do and what it takes content creating. Much appreciated, just love the fact that you don’t feel obligated to show your face all the time which is what’s made me put this whole process off for far too long! 😊
"Shot on iPhone"
You're a massive inspiration. I'm using my phone at the minute, with a few accessories. I'll definitely be picking up some of the gear you've mentioned in this video.
That's awesome mate, thank you. I really hope it helps someone start/improve. I'm a nobody, but if it helps someone else that's the goal.
@@SpawnPoiint soooooo humble as always
Big respect 🤜🤛
Only seeing this a year later, have to say it really hits home with what I've been doing recently, definitely in that starting stage and doing it to get that creative itch scratched. Thanks for all the advice man, super helpful and inspiring!
Finally someone who actually showed budget friendly options. And not $5000 budget options which are not “ budget friendly “ for most. Thanks again for all the info.
This is literally the first video of this kind that I watched till the end. Great content, clear and concise! ✌🏿
Thank you 🙏
Facts! Watched all the way thru!
It took me 3 days to watch this video. It’s a compliment. I’ve been extremely busy, but every minute of free time I had, I continued this video until the end.
You tell a story well and provide real actionable advice! Thanks!
A bad carpenter always blames the tools. You're absolutely a good one. Even with "all you need is all you have" setup, you still manage to create stunning videos. Very inspiring
Thank you for the kind words!
I just love how you have created an audience for yourself now from where you started just with with some minimal gear and planning. Now thats the right way of doing it, creating with what you have and what you can afford. Pleasure watching your videos mate.
I just wanted to say...Thanks brother for all the tips, ideas, hope and encouraging words to all that wants to start the journey of growing their channel. As this process is currently going on with me even though I had my channel since '06. Just now trying to take my content more serious within last yr.
Good luck dude. You’ve got this.
This was incredibly comprehensive and exactly what I wish other creators would do when explaing their own pipeline.
I like the bit at 10:20 when u say “im not unique and im not original at all” aka no BS statement 👍🏼
The simplicity inspires me. I feel like my goal is reachable!
Really enjoyed this video. Would be great to see an in depth video on how you edit your videos x
I tend to overthink when making content and you just laid out the master plan so simple . Thank you, it is time to create now and be persistent.
Good luck, now go create that content!
@@SpawnPoiint I respect you so much for coming back to a video you posted a year ago to respond to a comment from just four weeks ago.
We need an updated video of this. I really enjoyed it. Thank you for the info brother. So valuable.
I’m curious now what has changed in the meantime
This is by far THE BEST demo of getting a channel started. Thanks so much for everything you've shared, especially that you provided it all in a candid manner that is so refreshing and easy to watch.
Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it 👍
I've revisited this video about 4 times. Just recreated my own iteration of that Excel spreadsheet you've got. Fantastic idea. Thank you so much, man.
That's great to hear, thanks Zack!
An absolutely fantastic video well explained and is awesome to see that you’re still producing content on your iPhone. Hope you read the message and see that people are still watching this video. Three years later well done
I have no idea what content you create but I admire you showing every detail instead of holding the best cards to yourself. Great work!
Wow, loads of hours gone into making a 15 min clip, loving your workflow process and you are right, do it for your enjoyment of what you love. For me it is gear more to social activities which I love and promoting them as we are coming out as I believe there a need to having a community. Thank you for sharing!
Spot on mate, thanks for watching too.
“If I can do it, you can do it as well.” Really straight forward and engaging! From your planning strategy, scripting, shooting, editing, and these all go super smooth. Thanks for sharing!!
you're one of the most inspiring and minimalistic youtubers I've ever seen! I frickin love it!
This video is three years old and yet it's just changed my life. Thanks I appreciate
Glad it helped!
Wow, what a comment! Thanks for watching and good luck with your own channel (I like the idea of 3D printing for your own requirements)!
You can use your Pixel 3a. Sdcard is not mandatory. Just download your video on your computer.
@@alexandrevaliquette1941 Yes, but then I have to physically plug it into something. Because I use tablets that run ftp servers, I can wirelessly transfer the videos files after they are recorded.
I can’t help but appreciate the amount of work and detail put into this.
Thank you!
Dude, this is amazing. Do you know what this has done. It's now so tempting me to move over from being a droid user to an iPhone user. The clarity on that camera is surreal. Am also looking to start my own channel, my kids are pegging me on, so why not. What more could go wrong for a 41 year old me!! 🙂
Stay safe. Cheers!!
Thanks for watching and for the feedback too. Go for it mate 💪
Best video I’ve watched for getting into content creation for UA-cam. I already have way more gear that you started with so no excuses, I’m motivated!
Great to hear!
I'm glad I saw this before we get into 2022! I appreciate the very clean, concise, and ever thorough overview of your setup. As a total Apple newbie, if I can accomplish a 1/4 of what you've put together I'll be a happy camper. Thanks a ton! :)
Thank you for watching (and commenting). Good luck with your own ventures.
Really inspiring and encouraging. Making one video, even a short one, really takes time. Seeing you estimated the time you used for 15 minutes VDO is the reality that I needed to see. You gave us good practical tips, thanks!
Thank you. Best of luck too!
“Shot on iPhone!” 😆 Great video, by the way. Thanks for taking the time to explain with such detail all the work that it takes to create videos for UA-cam!
Thanks for watching too
te adoro chica geek!
Thanks so much. I’m starting out a video channel in my 60s and I have learnt a lot on UA-cam including this amazing video.
This is so far the best, to the point, no brag, no flexing, setup video along with some tips to be organized in one's work.
Superb 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you 🙏
"I don't want to bore you, with me saying the same thing again and again." I did laugh :) Great video!
Thanks for paying attention 😂🙏
That was the best!! :D
i saw that too... was going to see if anyone noticed it..
Fantastic content, love how clear, concise, and to the point it is as well as how thorough and transparent you were with providing an entire breakdown of the process start to finish. Youve been an inspiration and I'm subscribing. 👍
Excatly not once did I get bored
You should absolutely do an editing video. I’m trying to figure out how to start a channel…. Any ‘DIY’ or ‘how tos’
Great advice. I picked up my aging Samsung S7 3 weeks ago and went for it. Really unhappy with initial results but uploaded anyway and have no regrets. I've learnt more about UA-cam, content and the process in 3 weeks than I have in the previous 3 years messing about but holding back from uploading. And, it's fun!
This is helping me start my UA-cam channel! Love the content, keep it up.
You should just subscribed your channel go ahead
Happy to see your process! Other people may do the same content you do, but your style of editing and your honesty is really what makes your channel stand out to me. I’d love to see your editing process in Final Cut Pro also. Keep it up!
“Shot on iPhone”
Thank you mate, appreciate the feedback too!
I'm blown away by the information you have provided and inspired to start a channel of my own. This is the most phenomenal content i think I've ever seen. I simply cannot thank you enough.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Good luck with your own channel.
@@SpawnPoiint Thank you so much. It was my pleasure.
I just realized that I could have bought myself a tesla if I would film everything on my iPhone instead of spending all my money on camera gear...
👏😂 I'm working myself up to the same level as we speak.. 🤣😭😂
@@kundalinicalling3295 haha, apparently we are in the same “club” mate :)))
@@leonbirgersglad I realised it early, even though I only have an iPhone 13, it’ll probably do the job tbh
Thank you for the honest, clear and detailed walk-through of the entire video making process Chris! Very much appreciated! I had been pushing back putting up videos because of my bridge camera not being "good enough", but didn't think seriously about using my Google Pixel till now! Shared your video with a friend who has a similar conundrum.
Awesome to hear. Glad it helped.
Wow this covered EVERYTHING so well, clear and detailed - Even bits I wouldn't have even considered. Earned a sub from me.
This video was very encouraging. I appreciate your emphasis on starting with whatever you have instead of buying a lot of equipment! I find starting the hardest part, so the reminder that i can start small is very helpful
Glad it was helpful! Good luck too.
I’ve watched a tone of videos on shooting videos with an iPhone on UA-cam but I never see Many youtubers who have a large subscriber base who Still use an iPhone this video was really refreshing to watch and it really does prove how gear doesn’t matter thanks for this video! And I’d love to see a video on your editing process 😊
Thank you mate. I feel too loyal to using a phone that I don’t know if I’ll change anytime soon.
Been waiting for this video for a while now! Thank you for the breakdown of all the equipment that you use. I have just been using my iPhone to shoot content. Will be buying the Gimbal and the tripod. Thanks
Thanks for watching mate. Definitely try the gimbal it was a game changer for me.
Hands down the best video I have seen on this topic. I appreciate the effort you put into making this, I was counting the number of shot changes, b-roll, etc etc you had to do to make your point clear and I stopped counting - most people don't appreciate the effort- big ups man, well done. You've earned sub on the back of this video, I just know your others will be good too 👍👍
Thank you mate. I appreciate it.
I added this video to my resource list. As soon as someone says they want to start youtube but don't have budget, I am gonna share this.
Definitely a final cut x video will be appreciated - your flow , set up videos, libraries, storage ... post production storage and removal of projects etc ...
"Shot on iPhone"
This is some motivation right here!
This was a great video. I feel better about starting my own channel and you have a fan for life. Great job!!
Ah thank you mate 🙏
I just started my channel 3 weeks ago. This video inspired me a lot to get more creative and to keep working. Thank you very much.
I have to say. It's always impressive how you created all your content just using your phone. Definitely inspiration for me to do the same. Trying to make it as easy as possible without all the barriers. Thanks for all the work you do!
Your set up is so clean and beautiful! Now I feel like getting riding of all my stuff and going minimalist 😹😹😹
Bruh! 🤣
Very informative, as a very inexperienced operator of current technology, I now can cross off buying a camera and save some money. I also made a list of items to think about purchasing in the future, thank you much appreciated!
This is a total motivation, Thanks a lot... Love from Nigeria.
This is such a helpful and inspiring video! I appreciate how simple and clearly you laid everything out. It makes me feel a lot less overwhelmed with figuring out where to start with becoming a UA-camr. I would totally watch a video of you focused on solely the content planning and how to stay organized and disciplined as content creator.
Thanks so much for putting this out and look forward to watching your other videos!
Glad it was helpful!
Took me quite a while but yeah here we are in 2023 and am definitely getting started after watching this excellent video. You summarized a 3 month course in roughly 18 mins. This is one of the best videos I have come across so far on UA-cam content creation. I have a Tecno Camon 12 pro, I have a strong feeling of getting like a Samsung S9 for starters. What is your advice ?
I know you didn't ask for my advice, but i'd say go for the s10 or s10+, if you want to stay around that pricing range and get that bit better.
Thanks a lot man. Was torn in between the two. imma get the S10+ am sure it will hold up good for now@@Juj_Mann
I have to give some respect! The video quality in this video is fantastic, I just found your channel today and glad I did. I also film just on my Apple iPhone 12.
Epic man, I was about to invest 5k to shoot content for my wife’s day spa, after watching this I’m super confident can create great quality content at a fraction of the price. Your gear lists are also super helpful. Subscribed! Thanks from New Zealand
I love the way you add panning shots in your videos
🤩🤩
Thanks. I actually enjoying doing them too.
This is awesome. I love how you’re sharing these “secrets”. Valuable info! Thank you! 🤩
No worries mate. Pleased it was useful.
This was excellent…every aspect was poignant, beautifully shot, and well narrated. Thanks!
To have a passion for creating and to be so thorough, it's such a pleasure to watch. And the beauty of this passion is it can be shared with billions. Absolutely well done, I loved you sharing your whole process, all using an instrument we carry in our pockets.
Shot on iPhone - Excellent video chief. Definitely made me think about what's needed (and not needed) to achieve excellent results. Will for sure, take on board what you've said 👍🏻
"Shot on iPhone"
Thank you for sharing such valuable information. Can you please share a dedicated video on how to edit video and adding voice over on it.
This was absolutely unreal in terms of its detail and quality. I’m going through a bit of crippling indecision in terms of what to make content about. But this has been helpful in terms of process for sure. I’ve got most of the stuff you have anyway except a gimbal, but I wouldn’t be out and about walking around anyway.
Thanks so much. Hit like and subscribe!
It is over 2 years ago that you create this video! Never the less it is most inspiring today. A big thumbs up for your work and afford you put in to it!
Loved this! Simple, to the point, and basically every answer I’ve been searching for. Loved that one joke in there. 👌🏼 liked, subscribed!
Ah thank you Julian!
