At 12:34 - "you're not gonna be able to see yourself when you're filming..." - I have a tip. Put a basic mirror, stand it behind the camera where you can see the camera screen in the mirror. Have been doing this for yrs.
Love this!!!
So true. People do not even realize that they procrastinate getting started obsessed with technology. A phone is PLENTY good enough. This isnt cinema: its youtube. Just do it❤
Yess!!
I don't use my camera for youtube anymore as it is too tedious to shoot and sit in front of the computer to edit. Now I only use my phone, the s24 ultra and I enjoy shooting and uploading more often.
I use an S22 ultra, please what editing app do you use on your phone?
@@RidewithTinuCapcut is a great editing app
@@RidewithTinuhow as it been your experience using the s22?
@ismaelmartinez7015 it has been a seamless one, doesn't hang, and it takes really good shots👌
Videos taken from my phone don't show full screen on UA-cam. There is always a black padding on the side of the video. How do you get rid of that?
Running your own ad in the middle of your video.
Genius.
Hahahah thank you thank you :)
This was incredibly helpful. Thank you so much. it has answered my questions and taken the fear out of creating videos. I'm so grateful that I found this video!! Huge thanks
Great tutorial. One of the most helpful aspects was also showing how you positioned the phone relative to you and the table. That is left out of so many tutorials like this.
This is the best, simple, professional and clean video tutorial so far I have seen on UA-cam on how to setup a UA-cam video for beginners
Thank you!
Thanks! This was very helpful, practical and easy to follow.
Thank you so much for sharing! This was very helpful, a lot of great tips. Time to go implement these steps!
This was very helpful thank you! I am just starting to do some content and hope to grow my audience and I’ve been trying to learn as much as possible! Very helpful 👊🏼
This is amazingly great content! Good job bro!
thanks for this great video Anthony !
I always get excited to see a new video from you! So knowledgeable and easy to digest 🙌🏻 I would absolutely love to see more videos on your video editing process, the effects you use etc. Your editing is always on point 🔥
Will do!!
I agree!! I’m a 14 day subscriber and was watching this to see if any thing New had been added
true
Very helpful! Will definitely be looking into the products you mentioned. When you mentioned the tiny mic, I started to hear a scratching / cracking that became noticeable. Probably just the mic itself.
Incredibly helpful! Thanks, lad!
Thanks for the super helpful structure/checklist and the tips. As for the screen mirroring on Mac- I am so grateful you showed turning your MacBook on its side. I spent hours trying to figure out how to display without doing that. My ipad will mirror the orientation correctly but my phone will only mirror to my computer in portrait mode. It helped to know I’m not the only one. If you find a fix - will you post? Thanks again for the great content.
What I need is how to film desktop crafting videos? Getting good shots so people can see my hands and what I’m drawing etc… I’m not concerned with sound but I do want good visuals. You have taught me so much just in two videos! Thanks

I like your content so as a small payback and a hint to the almighty Algorithm I compiled the timestamps for you. But next time do your own ;-) ...the autogenerated ones suck
Honestly, I learned more than usual from you here. Thank you.
I love the content my man! I havent quite been able to grind out the 14 day filmmaker course in 14 days but I am still chipping away at it! Theres a lot of extremely valuable content offered within the course that will jumpstart the content creation process for most anyone in the beginner to intermediate stages. Thanks again!
Same here just chipping away
@@jttp362 It's a grind for sure. I'm just trying to hone in on one new bit of info every time get the camera out.
@@Tdavhomestead exactly what I did this weekend. I'm just building my content library using the camera technique. Then I will focus on editing
@@jttp362 I think that's a smart move
nice
Man! Im glad you mention about getting lenses. There are youtubers that recommend buying lenses!! Which is insane because iphone 13 and others have 3 LENSES THAT HAVE TONS OF OPTIONS AND SETTINGS!!
Wow. This was incredibly rich info and very thorough. Amazing. Subscribed !
Thanks for the tips, Anthony! I just bought the Rode Smart Lav+ and the Zoom H1N as you suggested! Just a PSA for some people: you need to also buy a TRRS to TRS adapter to connect the Zoom H1N and the Rode Lav+✌
This is probably the best smartphone-to-UA-cam video I’ve ever seen. Thanks so much. Subscribed.
That’s what I like to hear! Welcome to the community 🔥💪🏻
This video is a great help to me! I have to admit that I stopped it a few times and rewound it to a topic I wanted to see again. I just started a channel with only one video, yikes! I am determined to get better at this. My content is based on a memoir I am writing. I am likely to upgrade to your classes if I can 'Chumba Wumba' myself into a higher level of performance.
Thank you so much! This was super helpful.
So much quality in one video. Thank you for that. Really helped!
Great to hear!
Great Content! 100% worth your time to watch
Thank you soooooo much! Please, more of this
Such a valuable video. Took so many notes. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for this!
Simple yet crucial points I didn’t think about! Thank you for sharing 😊
Glad it was helpful!
This is super valuable, thank you!
Thanks brother God bless you I'm learning all things from you
I just joined your class and it’s absolutely amazing!!! I’ve learned more in the first day photography basics than I did in all the courses in my 53 years of living lolol!
Awesome! Thank you!
Hey man it's been 5 months. people will forget your channel if you don't upload videos regularly. I'm saying this because videos are so good like fire 🔥
A video on how to shoot film for craft tutors would be awesome. I've been doing it now for 10yrs...the first were majorly shonky! Getting better but there seems to be absolutely nothing on that particular subject. I love your succinct delivery. I'm now coaching students who want to go professional with their creativity and having somewhere to send them to for relevant advice would be awesome! Thanks in hope 🤞🏻
Thank you! So helpful!
Thank you for this!!! I was looking for a video to allow to film with what I have!
What I’d like to know is how the heck your narrative is so clean, nearly flawless. Do you write a script? Do you have a teleprompter? How do you do it?!
Normally I actually do script my videos to keep it as streamlined as possible but this one I just mapped out basic notes and then just spoke straight into the camera with no teleprompter.
😂😂 exactly
@@MrPaulXavier I appreciate your response! You're good at what you do. I'll be giving it a try and trusting that practice will help me improve. Thanks for the inspiration.
Just what I was wondering in my mind 😂
@@MrPaulXavier I'm learning a lot from your course. Actually so much that I decided not to buy a new phone yet. I have a iphone XR and doesn't have all the Xtra camera's but your course showed me I have other stuff to work on before I need to worry about a new iphone. Been practicing and still have to join the Facebook group
This was Awesome!💪🏾💯 This video was informative without the extra fluff; straight to the point. I'm a new subscriber!
Thanks for subscribing!
superb info, and very well explained. thanks so much
Thanks for this video, so useful!
Props to you for recording the whole thing on your phone! Truly showing us how it's done as I watched the whole thing. Quality content is quality content - esp with the tips you gave. Thanks 😉
I appreciate that!
I ve never seen such a useful video on filming. The way you're explaining everything is so easy and understandable.
Happy to hear that!
You made me start this journey man😊😊😊😊,,, thanks so much
Great video and great advice! well done!
Extremely informative video. One of the best ones on the topic 👍🏼
Glad you think so!
You are 100% correct. Thank you for information!
Welcome!
I’m not even done watching the video yet and it’s already been so helpful that I had to pause and comment. This has to be the single, most helpful video I’ve ever watched for how to film content for beginners, especially because it’s specifically for using one’s smartphone, which even tho must of us are in this early stage, most videos for beginner content creation don’t focus on it. I’ve watched hundreds of videos at this point since I started a couple years ago, and if I had only watched this single video and none of the others, I would have all of the information I needed. Long story short, thank you.
Heck yea, glad you enjoyed this so much!
Much appreciated very informative
This was genuinely a very informative video !! Thank you for sharing!
Glad it was helpful!
Immensely helpful. Thank you. 😊
Great job! You squeezed all the essential info into a watchable length.

You’re very welcome ❤️
Thanks for your quick tutorial. I need to review your course again. It’s a great resource to be able to refer back to.
Always a good idea to come back for refreshers here and there
Great Video! Thx for your work!
You're welcome!
Thank you for all you teach. I've purchased your Content Creator and 14 Day Filmmaker courses and LOOOOOVE them. I wanted to add one thing you might want to edit into this current video. You mentioned in here that you could stream your phone camera to your computer or iWatch but said there was nothing for Android phones. That may be true for most Androids, but Samsung has a perfect solution called Samsung Flow. I didn't know about it myself until your comments inspired me to go searching for a solution. I just installed it on my phone and computer and it works like a charm. It can be streamed with tablets too. Sadly, I haven't yet been able to configure my Samsung watch, but it's supposed to work there too. But once again, THANK YOU, for all your great content and inspiration. Keep up the great work!!!
This is great to know!
You can also stream your Android phone using OBS Studio
and Iriun Webcam app (both of which are free to download). I used it yesterday to, one... use it as a webcam for a Zoom call, and two... to record a new momma bird that laid 5 eggs in a nest inside a wreath on my front door. I was able to watch it live while I was also recording her laying on the eggs. Works awesome!!!
I've always advocated using a recorder when tethering might be an issue. The best suggestion I can give when doing so is to have the recorder and camera next to each other and clap your hands loudly. This will produce a spike on both soundtracks, allowing for better synchronization.
I’m in your 30 Day Course Creator program and I absolutely enjoy watching your videos! They are so through, comprehensive, and easy to digest. I can’t wait to launch my first course, and of course, I love your UA-cam videos. Keep up the great work!
Glad you're enjoying the course!!
Agree! I got the course too and I’m learning a lot!

This content is very much appreciated, Anthony. I’m a total newbie and your content demystifies the steps to making videos without spending a fortune. I love that the macbook can show the phone screen image… can I ask how you propped up your MacBook like that?
what an amazing tutorial!

Thanks for this! Newbie here and these tips are awesome

Perfect
This is one of the best videos I've seen on making better looking videos with your phone. Honestly, I'm not using any of the great tips you discussed here and yet I've still had people be really surprised to learn that I use my i-phone-and old one at that- to film all my content. In the 21'st century I just don't see the need for an expensive camera (for what I do, at least) to shoot great looking footage. I DO need to get a better handling on audio though, and the options you gave here were excellent. I'll be coming back to this video often man. I've saved it to make it easy to find. Thanks!
Love to hear this!
