''You can always take off more hair, but you cant take off less then what you have already taken off'' - Nick Shaves, 2017
😂😂😂
You're back! Glad to see you making a new video. I started wet shaving from watching your videos.
So weirdly relaxing to watch these videos!
.. is there "Cleaned out, Hydrated, Ready To Go" merch yet?!!
nice idea!!!
Oh good, you're alive!
Just my two cents but I always enjoy seeing the Muhle R41 up against some serious beard growth. Would the 6 plate on Rockwell be able to take that much growth down? Glad to see a new video because you will always be my favorite channel. Happy Holidays to you, and your family!
Nicks back!! Your the reason I switched to a safety razor man. I've been shaving like this for 3 years now and will never go back. Keep up the good vids!
Thank you Nick for making your videos. I always learn something new from them.
When it comes time for the beard to come off how about a shavette like a Feather Artist Club?
Thanks for the update video Nick, clearly you are missed! I have to admit, I got pretty excited to see a notification that you posted a new video! Happy Thanksgiving!
How about nick how are you? very good your videos as always despite not understanding the language very much, I love to watch anyway.
You could do some video with reviews of shaving sticks of different brands and models.
thank you and continue like this ........
Finally, you're back. I'm also doing No Shave November with you
Hello Nick, is it possible that you review Executive Shaving Company Bravehearth DE and SE Claymore? And also, it will be cool to see reviews and usage of cheaper Simpsons brush (special, wee scot, case etc...).. Greetings from Croatia
You mentioned in the vid that we should suggest a razor to remove the beard when the time comes. I'd like to suggest the Fatip Grande. It's an all brass razor made in italy, plated in nickel, open comb, and costs about $23. The old one's had a reputation for poor QC but they retooled back in 2016, and the new ones are pretty amazing. It's slightly less aggressive than the R41, but nearly as efficient. If you like the R41, I think you'll really enjoy the Fatip Grande. It's great to see you back!
FWIW, I had a difficult surgery towards the end of 2016, and was in the hospital and post-surgical rehab for a bunch of months. I ended up with a Santa Claus like beard, but my R41 with a new Feather blade took it off easily, like shearing a sheep. This would be a fine way to end No Shave November.
Woah.. Nick Shaves going against the grain. That’s new. Definitely use the stallion gold dolla 300 for the beard shave off! P.S. make more videos we miss them!!!
.
The Merkur 34C is the bomb !
I think you should use the *Merkur 25C* to take your beard off. It's one of my favorite razors and I know it will kill your beard with no problem. It's an open comb and my daily shaver because it's soooo smooooth.
Welcome back Nick! I've missed you
Good to see you back, as a dedicated straight shaver, I hope for a straight shave.
I (try to) have 10 soaps only in the rota, 7 straights, 2 DE, a 34C and ATT, like as you try new stuff, but pass a lot of stuff on if I doens't like it, or like but not as much of others with similar smell
Surprised you didn't use straight razor. Hit the top line on the mustache. A straight razor just so much better for clean lines. Thanks for your vids, keep up the good work. You've been missed.
Good, i'm gonna use the technique of drawing the division across the shaving cream with your finger, never thought of that. Btw, i find that using my straight razor i get ultimate precision on the cheek lines, which is the only thing i use it for now.
How about using the new Razor Emporium/Rex Supply Co Ambassador Razor to take the beard off?
Great videos. Question you don’t use pre-shave oils? May I ask why? I know you use the bloom water from the soap
Have you used a safety razor to shorten the hairs of your beard? I’ve been doing this carefully with my mustache and I think it works pretty well.
Good shave 🪒 but you took to much off the top. When I shave I don’t shave the top only bottom. So they beard can look fuller. But all together nice shave man.
Maybe you can use your Rockwell with plate 6 and a sharp but smooth blade to tackle that beard. That would be an interesting change from the already documented results with the R41 and straight razor. Happy Holidays!!
How about using the Razorock Hawk, at least I think that was the name of it, the single blade one.
What about using Mercur futur de adjustable when you remove your beard hair
Good to see you back. I too am doing no shave November. I am following your advice and shaving my neck. Again welcome back and happy shaves.
How about using the Rockwell and doing a step down shave starting at the most aggressive plate. This much growth would be a good show of what the plates can do without getting irritation.
Welcome back. When will you become an attending Doctor? No more resident?
How about trying a Feather shavette for the upcoming beard shave-off?
I am also participating in the No Shave November fundraiser. It is my first attempt at growing a beard. I decided to go "au natural" (no trimming).
-welcome. Great video. Thumbs up from me.
Loving my R41. Give it another go.
Nick use the ikon tech it's even beaster and aggressive than the muhle r41
You're back! Good stuff as always.
Looking forward to that beard shave!
Nice to see you coming back. 💈👍🏼
Try the Phoenix doc evolution aluminum or ss
The honeymoon is over it happens to everyone. Its just shaving!
Nice trick 👌 appreciate you sharing this 👍
Always glad when you post a video Nick!
What is your opinion on electric shavers?
Great to see you back doing your videos Nick.
Nick! Where have you been man!
Nick from Nick shaves no longer shaves ?
😅😆how does he close eyes one by one like this?
omg, he's back!! 😄😄
Beard looks good on you !
Semogue 620 is one of the most underrated shaving brush.
He's back!!!!!!!!
Use the symmetry razor!!!
Welcome back Nick 😀
Glad to see you making videos again. I would like to see you use the Merkur Futur or (QShave / Mingshi 2000) version for your beard off shave. I think that would slice through your beard nicely. I recently bought the QShave and it has become my favorite razor. I use it on setting 3 and get the smoothest shave. For your beard, probably setting 6 for the initial pass then 3 for the next two passes would work great.
Great to see another video from you Nick! Sure hope all is well. Hopefully we get another straight razor beard off video in a week or so :) Happy Thanksgiving!
Nick great video bro. I've been watching your videos for a long time as a matter of fact you and Geo FatBoy are the ones who got me into wetshaving. I'm a head shaver. Would love for you to a live head shaver with a DE. That would be amazing! Thanks for the videos Nick!!
I would put this razors to some good use (If I'm lucky), I love your channel nick, Happy thanksgiving and Hanukkah :)
Great to see a video from you! How about trying the PAA Alpha Ecliptic slant to mow the beard down? I find it to be R41 like efficient.
Great video as always Nick! What special care/products have you been using for your beard? Shampoo, coam, oil? Btw, deeply interested in the give away!
I have the 830
Glad to see you back! Been awhile since you've used the Muhle R41! Seems like a great razor to take your beard off with.
Nick, nice to have you back! For your beard shave off, you should use the classic Sandalwood from TOBS!
I'd love to see you use the vintage Gillette new type razor open comb you have!! Makes sense that it would chop that beard off, without having to use 2 different razors
Woohoo! Nick is back.
Personna Blue Lab. Nice blade! YES ON THE GIVE-AWAYS!
I'm in!
Good to see you back here again! I'd say use the Merkur 37C Slant Bar with a Feather blade when you take the beard off
Check out the new stirling boar knots!
+Diener94 I’ve seen the one brush, and it looks amazing
Cool video man, looking forward to the next one. As to the question of what to use to take the beard all the way down i say use a single edge razor, if you don't have one my next choice would be a straight or a shavette,
Glad to see a new video from you, Nick. Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving!
Great to see another video. In regards to shaving off the beard, I think I would like to see you use the Sabre. If not than the R41.
Great video... not many videos out there show you how to outline the beard. I think any soap with a r41 would do a great job.
Finally a new video! Great to see you back.
Any chance you could use Reuzel any time soon?
Always enjoy your videos! You're great on camera, very clear.
he's been going to the gym?
yeah but he seems to be skipping chest and abs lol
Doing the same thing. (No Shave Nov.) Only I've been learning to use a straight for trimming. Partly because of some of your videos. So far, so good. Great video Nick!
Nice shave, Nick- really good to see you again. I have appreciated all of your advice on shaving and great product reviews. Hope to continue seeing your videos as your time permits. Have a great Thanksgiving week! All the best.
Hi Nick from Scotland- thanks for the great tips and reviews
Glad to see you're back. Been waiting for a new episode. And Thank you. You showed me how to shave and how it can be a fun hobby. Can't thank you enough
As a new wetshaver, I've enjoyed these videos. I've learned things that would have taken me years to learn on my own experiences. Excited for a chance to get some gear with the giveaways.
+Jim Combs great man! Glad to hear it.
Glad to see you back, brother! I'd like to see you use some holiday stuff. :)
Welcome back. I’m missed seeing your videos.
R41
It's good to see another video from you, Nick.
I always enjoy your shaving videos and reviews.
Thanks for sharing them!
As far as removing the beard when the time comes, why not try a shavette this time?
I don't think you'll have a problem.
great to see another video from you, can't wait to see more content!
Great to see another video from you man! you've been missed.
Great to see a video from you again Nick. Been growing out a beard too for No Shave November (inspired by you) and doing a similar trimming. :)
What do you do for a living, Nick?
+Jaden Hercules I am in my orthopedic surgery residency
My godfather just had his hip replaced, he's 74.
That's awesome!
Good to see ya back, hope all is well!
On Thursday, when we say what we are thankful for, I will say " Nick Shaves' videos"! Thanks again Nick and hope you have a great holiday.
+Chris Garcia likewise! Thanks for the support, that’s why I make the videos, glad you enjoy them
nick shaves FWIW ; I'd go with the R41 and a fresh Feather blade. If you have a Merkur Futur, that would be interesting as well.
Live to add this one to my collection.
Wow been awhile nice to see a new video Nick.
I want a straight razor and some soaps for the give away
Hope your husband likes it!
+redwhitentrue thanks for watching and posting!
He's married to a male?
I didn't know that, news to me. I swear i've heard him mention his "wife" in other videos. But whatever, doesn't matter to me, it's a free country. I just didn't get that....... vibe.
He's talked about his wife in other videos
Pretty sure it's a joke. Nick's mentioned his wife numerous times. No way its miscommunication.
Doesn’t feel like your heart is in this anymore Nick. That’s a shame because you’re easily my favourite UA-camr. You did I think 10 videos this past year, less than one per month. I know you’re a surgeon and all so I can totally understand that you have other priorities in life, I’d just say maybe it’s time to knock this on the head if you can’t commit to it.
Tristan Marshall Nah, let him do what he wants man, sometimes things go on and off. Nick, make as many videos as you want.
Just be grateful he's still putting out videos. Nick does not have to "commit" to any of this, he's not a full time UA-camr, and it's not like you're supporting him through Patreon or something...so back off
I’m grateful Nick still puts out videos, my point isn’t “You need to make more videos or stop doing it”. My point is that it seems like Nick puts up videos now because he hasn’t done one for a while, they don’t carry the same enthusiasm that they used to. I’m sure he gets sick of the 15 “Nick when are you doing a new video” comments that appear under every Instagram picture that he posts, it’s only human. My point is that if life and his priorities are too much for him to be a UA-camr at the same time then maybe it’s time to stop for a while.
I think this surgeon is able to think for himself.
Kavalan alright man no need to get so salty
