Another nice Vlog and nice hair cuts ✂️. The little car show had some nice looking cars. Always surprised to see how far around the world classic American cars like that Ford Fairlane convertible can be found! Those stone city ruins were cool to look through.
Thanks Kevin 👍, Couldn't pass up on an opportunity to get a haircut for that price, especially not knowing where we were going to be after Albania. Agree, We didn't expect to see so many cars from the states, quite a few Americans that shipped the cars for the festival from the States. Some from Florida, Washington and New York. I don't know too much about cars like that but we definitely appreciated looking at them.
Isn't that crazy? We saw some really old ones in Italy in Tuscany but none were this big, I think they were as old though. Those ones were sponsored by the Medici family, so somewhere in the 15th century? Anyways very cool and yes it was such an amazing day of fun!
Chicago is cold for sure, We've only done weekend trips there though! Are you in Tirana? We wanted to go up north to the mountains but we didn't have warm enough clothes when we were in Albania so we had to pass on it this time around.
Isn't it so beautiful?! its definitely one of our favorite places we visited :) It was crazy to see American cars with American license plates there from Washington, Florida and New York I think. Crazy that people ship them out for a few days for a show! Glad to hear Roger approved :)
Hello Ardid! We actually went down the coast through Himare, Gjie to Sarande before getting to Gjirokater if thats what you meant, it's such an amazing coast. Would love to have you check out the other videos from our road trip if you have some time :)
@@DjusLife yes that is what I meant More or less. Because Albanian riviera goes a bit further than that but is ok. I have watched All your other videos.
Yes we certainly didn't got all the locations, there's so much more we could have seen but we didn't rent the car for long enough, lesson learned for future, we think we will return sometime
Kevin, were SO HAPPY to hear you're enjoying the quality of our VLOGS :) We try to make them as best as were able to, that's why it takes us longer than most people probably think it takes us to make our videos but comments like yours make it worth it! Thank you :)
We had to go for it especially when we the price was that good :) I'm a bit frugal when it comes to spending money on a haircut (Yevhen) so I often let it grow to long so it was fun to get it cut and not worry about the cost :) THANKS GUYS!
Thanks! couldn't pass up on the opportunity :) So cool to see the roads lined with all the vintage and antique cars :) So lucky we went there that particular weekend
I love this traditional stone builded style!!! Really I start thinking that seriously to visit this place ASAP 😊❤️ Well done guys!!! Have fun there and have happy Christmas holidays 🤩
I do too! Really nice building style, feels very cozy :) You should definitely visit Albania and when you do you have to stop at this town. It's one of our favorites all together.
Congratulations on your channel. The content quality is actually great. I saw that you got the old road to get from Gjirokaser to Berat, there is a new highway but Google Maps seems is not very up to date. Cheers!
Oh there is 🤦🏼♀️ haha the old road was scenic but lots of twists and turns for sure. Google maps definitely had some major gaps in Albania. It told us we had arrived at our destination so many times and we would still be in the middle of nowhere 😂. Albania is still very much worth it and not too hard to navigate. The signage is very good. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement on our channel. We really appreciate it and are so glad you found us!
You're too kind :) I think if you're just confident in what you say then that's what matters. Does it really tase like wood, or earthy notes, wait no it was hay. with some berries, blackberries ...? blueberries? no it was some stone fruit haha its all a bit subjective I guess. As long as its enjoyed and can taste differences then its already a win :)
The local dessert is called Oshaf, it is made with fresh sheep milk, wild figs, sugar etc. It is not available in November since there is not fresh sheep milk available, because of lamb feeding season. Definitely a must try! In Albania 10% of olive trees are 500-3000 years old(you can check for confirmation). That olive oil, if it is made in November, it should have been probably hot spicy, if not spicy, probably is the last years badge...
We did we did, we were low on time so unfortunately we didn't have too much time there as we had to return our rental but seems like a cool place. Definitely bigger than I expected (Old town +new town)
really cute haircuts! looking great! ur so good at being frugal [envy!]. curious whats next for you two! have you been to Montenegro? Not sure if u can get in...but the Bay/Fjord of Kotor is really special. Also not sure if u can get into Croatia, but the island of Kortula is also heavenly [and SO much better than Dubrovnik [D is gorgeous, of course, but crawling with tourists]. I've been touring the Balkans for 20 years...but not the past decade - its wild to be back and see all the changes...huge transformations in architecture, transportation, fashion...everything. can't wait to see whats next!
Oh thank you for your recommendations!! We really appreciate them. We hope to get to go to Croatia but with covid it was more expensive to go the Montenegro then Croatia route as it required covid tests but north Macedonia and Kosovo didnt which was cheeper 😆
"Yevhen is somewhere...flying the drone." Sometimes, I (Daddy) can imagine those words being said with a little "does he have to AGAIN" tone...but in a place like THAT? Yeah, it's an awesome thing. WOW. Jazz fans? What's your dream jazz concert? Which artists? And that was an awesome jazz show...was I hearing traditional Albanian songs in a ska style? The castle oven...you could make a few wood-fired pizzas in that thing. (As you said later on in the funnies!) Or calzones. Our Italian heart and that olive oil...wow! AnonyMommy would go nuts over the wines. 💚❤️💚
Haha, Amy totally supports the drone expeditions haha, I will admit they often take longer than we both expect :) We're frugal people so we don't go to many concerts we have gone to a show when we were in NOLA and we saw Snarky Puppy in NYC for after the ball drop on New Year's Eve/Day. But we love it when there's Brass involved haha :) Big oven isn't it you could certainly make a lot of food there. One of the best olive oils we've ever had!
The castle is from 12AD.. way before the ottoman occupation.. not a huge fan of all the artillery tanks inside it and that eyesore American spy jet from the 50s right at the top of the castle.. In communist times they thought it was a great idea 🤔.. now no one wants to bother removing them.. I love your videos guys! Great work.. You deserve way more views..
Yeaaa totally agree about the plane and tanks. The castle is amazing without them. Wow 12 AD! Crazy awesome. We loved LOVED how the locals adopted us in Gjirokaster. You have an amazing home country. Thank you for your encouragement and kind kind words!!!!
We are from the USA passport holders so we did not need a visa to enter Albania. Tirana was definitely a busy city but not excessively. The prices were great and the food tasty. We met many kind locals and loved traveling around the country. Outside of Tirana it is not a crowded country at all. Very peaceful
this town looks crazy beautiful :) so much culture and style :)
It really is! it has a really charming small mountain town feel with so much culture and style like you said :)
Amazing Gjirokastra❤️👏🏻🗝👐🏻🇦🇱
Isn't it so great? Its still one of our favorite weekends in our almost a year of travel! Such an amazing town!
500 year old olive tree . Wow. Albania looks so surprising. Never thought about visiting it but now it is on my list. Beautiful 🤩
You should! Its so diverse in nature, great food, great people and great prices! As for the tree, SUPER OLD! haha
@@DjusLife BERAT IS 2600 YEARS OLD CITY

Five hundred year old olive tree?! Wow! Sounds like a fun sabbath day with the old car show and live music!
