Lost me with the tech stuff cause I am a 90yr old stuck in a 37yr old body, BUT that was so entertaining! Y'all are just too cute to watch and I am SO impressed that all that fit in your bags and only like 25-30lbs!! Love Q&As!
Hahaha yeah the tech stuff can be a whole video of its own and to be honest we get confused sometimes about it too but since we make videos and take photos were a bit more in that world than others. Glad it was at least entertaining for that part! So crazy how much we fit in there (Yevs is more like 35-40lbs... 😬) We loved doing the Q&A segment hope to do more of that type segment in the future. It was very nice to engage directly with people and share more about us in the process.
It's really amazing how much you can fit in such little space by packing smart. We're also amazed that those shoes lasted 8 months before starting to fail. Got to get ourselves some Adidas I guess! We especially love the idea of having two, 5tb external hard drives with one mirroring the other. We couldn't imagine losing TBs worth of travel footage, and we feel quite lucky to have not lost any so far.
Yes those shoes were amazing were going to try to find similar ones for when we go back out but yeah we're also very fortunate to not have lost our footage due to bad hard drive either. The mirror drives just make more sense going forward I think.
Guys, Adam and I are so impressed with those little bags! This is genius 👏 we the rolling clothes type of people ! I definitely think traveling light is so important cause it helps you to be flexible especially from Country to country. Wow those no liquid shampoo and conditioners are genius 😀 this is awesome! This was great to watch especially for when we leave to go overseas! Thanks for sharing these great tips 😀
You are so welcome. Bar shampoo and conditioner are game changers and have great ingredients and are plastic free- can’t recommend then enough. So glad you guys enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching the whole thing. Your support means so much to us!
Wow Amy...the stuff sack is amazing!! You guys are definitely pros at packing! We always overpack 🙈 really enjoyed how comprehensive this video is! Especially when it came to all the tech stuff. Love jumpsuits as well 😊 and how versatile is your scarf...amazing! Awesome packing time lapse at the end 💯
I used to over pack too and come home and see all the things I never wore. Carrying everything definitely made us want to downsize and we love the simplicity it has brought our life. So glad the tech part was helpful. It was long but we didnt want to cut any of the info out.
Guys we are so impressed with how light you travel! After 9 months of travelling we are planning to shrink our bags down too now. Love the stuff sack idea! Amy that tip about rolling bras is genius🤩 I bought non wired especially but never thought to roll them😅 not even done watching yet but already got some great tips!
You guys totally should it's honestly so nice to be backpack only, so much freedom and flexibility. Yes, rolling is the way to go haha! So glad you guys got some good ideas from our video :)
I’ve never been a light packer but any chances of me packing light went out the window after my daughter was born. We bring an extra luggage for just her stuff! 😂 It’s so impressive how you squeezed all your belongings into that one tiny bag! I like rolling my clothes as well but I’ve never thought about rolling my bras. The one thing I’m good about is limiting how many pairs of shoes I bring. I also bring just one pair of sneakers and sandals or flip flops. I usually bring along only one camera as well. This is such useful information if I ever get to travel full time. How strangely satisfying to throw away your worn out travel clothes and shoes!
It really was satisfying and was very much overdo. I feel like kiddos do come with more stuff then adults sometimes 😂 at least their clothes are smaller - even though they need more replacements. Wonder how we will pack and travel once there are kiddos in the game 🧐☺️
The bra and hat tips are on point Amy! We are also travelling with a backpack and a carry on, it can be very tricky to decide what to take with you. Packing is NEVER fun. P.S. good job on taking care of your long hair, I just let it go at this point hahah. We are working to put together what we pack in our bags too, this got excited!
Why thank you! We're always thinking about how to downsize even more to be more flexible, you really don't want to be lugging things around that you aren't using, it's okay for a little but after a while not as fun. Glad you were able to learn something or get some ideas for yourselves :)
Ben and I plan to travel full time soon and so this video will be VERY HELPFUL to watch again before we hit the road ourselves. Really appreciated seeing what you own and what you bring regarding your camera equipment since we plan on vlogging weekly too. We will update our camera gear probably this summer so this is cool to see. This video was just as helpful and engaging as the ones I've watched from Kara & Nate and Flying the Nest. Well done! Will likely DM you with more questions later this year if you're willing to help answer some of our miscellaneous packing and gear questions! Thanks for the great content you two :) You guys are awesome!
Yesss send us all the questions anytime 💛💛 Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement we really appreciate it! Such a high compliment to be compared to those legends! So excited for you guys to get to travel full time! You are already crushing it with your channel!
Hi so fun to see you here in the UA-cam comments! So glad you enjoyed the vid. Yeah we didn’t know till we knew after that day in Bordeaux that cobblestone and rolling bags were not for us.
That stuff pack is an interesting option. We use packing cubes and we've been quite happy with that system. I got laser eye surgery a couple of years ago and it gives you a lot more freedom not needing to worry about prescription glasses.
Yessssss that would give a lot of room not to pack contacts and glasses and prescription sunglasses. Agree with you that packing cubes are great especially if you pack in a suitcase. You are so brave getting laser eye surgery 👍🏼🥳
@@DjusLife We use a backpack for carry on travel (just passed the one year mark for this trip!) I'll have to keep the stuff pack in mind once the packing cubes wear out. I had a few friends that did laser eye surgery before me, so I think it helped knowing people that had been through the process.
Wow congratulations on hitting the 1year mark that's so fun and exciting! Yes definitely take a look at the stuff sacks we had good experience with them. That makes a big difference seeing friends have positive outcomes with the surgery. Scary stuff though haha
Guys, I saw the time and was like... woah. But I just sat here watching the whole thing because I was so amazed by how much you fit in those bags and what you take with you. I don't know if I could do it 🤦♀️ My husband definitely couldn't if we went anywhere hot he'd need like 5 bottles of sunscreen 🤣
It's surprising even to us sometimes how much you really need when traveling full time, but maybe that's partly due to our preferences and behaviors. The thing about sun screen you can always buy one locally and keep replenishing as it runs out. Yes we know it was long but hopefully you enjoyed watching how we pack and reasons behind it, I know we watched through a bunch as we were traveling before and planning this trip 😬 thanks for watching it all the way through!
Isn't it crazy? It was so fun to make and share this video, we both were always curious what other people have in their bags and what they seem important and not so it was fun to hopefully pass on things we learned to others. Miss you guys too!
I am shocked that all your clothes are just in that stuff pack, Amy! That's insanely impressive!! Will def keep this in mind. Also the bra tip is super good to know - especially since we live in Boston and I just have to go up the road to check it out. Also I love the hotel room you filmed this video in. Is that in downtown Boston? It's GORgeous!
Yes we used a free anniversary night from a credit card 😁 second time we have stayed there. It is the Kimpton Hotel and it is beautiful!! I love Lively bras and the lady who manages the store is a spicy gem 😁. Stuff sack is insane make it feel like Mary Poppin’s bag for sure!
Wow thank you for watching! It was a long but very overdue video. So glad you enjoyed it! It has been a learning process but we definitely know we like life with less things 😁
Thanks guys! :) so glad you found it useful! We've definitely had to work out some things out and have a few left but were generally very happy with what we carry. You totally could if you wanted to, you always think you need more than you do, spoken from experience haha :)
Loved watching this! Thanks for sharing such incredible tips :) I just put in an order for the shampoo and conditioner bars! Literally genius idea and they have amazing ingredients. I may not be traveling but I know I’ll be using them even at home! Thanks for sharing all of this info:)
Inna I absolutely love them and my hair has never felt better! The ingredients are amazing and no plastic. We love them traveling or not traveling!! Cant wait to hear what you think after using them too 😁
WHOA! This is CRAZY! All that stuff into the bag... Geez! I carry a small suitcase when I travel and I'd probably finish the video in 5mins... But then, that's why I'm not travelling full time! LOL
Haha 😆 sorry it was long haha I think if we just showed all the stuff it would have been much smaller, we decided we wanted to explain our thoughts behind different decisions and answer direct questions as well. Looking back we could have made 2 videos probably and but I think it's okay :) Do you pack tight or is it loose in the small suitcase? We pack tight so I think it's more stuff, plus all the tech 🙄
So in Japan when they changed the baggage rules did Yev have to check his bag in too with all the tech in it? The thought of our tech backpack being thrown around by baggage handlers gives us heart palpitations😅
Yes I had to check the bag also, I didn't clearly states it in the video, my fault, but the tech section is actually an insert that comes with the bag, I always pull it out and have it be my one personal item and send everything else (not much left at that point. (Amy's personal item becomes the foldable yellow baggu bag with the iPad and laptop
Okay last comment! haha I swear :D 1) I love your mini razor. 2) LOVE those shampoo/conditioner bars. I was going to ask how you deal with shampoo/conditioner because your hair is so long and I always struggle knowing how to pack for the right amount of conditioner because my hair is so long and curly and I need it. You guys did great on your choices in your bag. There are some great tips here. Less is more as they say. Safe travels!
Thank you! We are really happy with them and totally agree with the less is more 😁
Great video! Lots of great tips hidden within. Like someone who has never been to Europe wouldn’t think about how annoying it is to pull a rollerbag!
Hi so fun to see you here in the UA-cam comments! So glad you enjoyed the vid. Yeah we didn’t know till we knew after that day in Bordeaux that cobblestone and rolling bags were not for us.
Love the kicking away the suitcases at 34:17 we took just one suitcase like that and can’t wait to get rid of it!
Yay! Glad someone liked it :) we thought it would be a fun thing to add in the video

It just goes to show, amazing things usually needs a LOT of planning and consideration!... (unlike me and my packing!)
Different situations call for different approaches :)
We had the same issue early on we learned we need 2 laptops so we added a Macbook air as 2 pros would be so heavy!
