I love Albania. Both the people and the country. Warning, your heart can be stolen. 💕

First of all thank you for visiting Albania, and yes the country is poor because of corrupt government, but people work hard for what they have, and yes we love nice cars, specially Mercedes Benz, and coffee too, I hope you enjoyed your tour in Albania ✌️✌️✌️✌️

Religions were banned in Albania during communism, especially since the '60s. Some 14k religious "objects' were destroyed 😢(churches, mosques, monasteries, Jewish temples, etc) a valuable treasure that will never come back. So this is the reason that all churches and mosques are new and the reason why we Albanians are quite lukewarm towards religions, maybe the most lukewarm with Czechs.

I am so sorry for this and thank you for explaining here. But now I understand better why there are so many new buildings.

@@FeedingFoca based to last census, 60% of Albanians declared themselves Muslims, but to a second question "how often you go to mosque", 90% of people told "never". The rest 40%, 20% told they are Christians (both ortodhox and chatolics) and the remaining 20% declared any connection with religions. Actually the real religion of Albanians is the albanian flags, there is this laic religion overspread among all communities, that's why you saw the flag everywhere. If you want to know more about this matter and others, read the Malcolm's "Kosovo, a short history" 👌

Haha it was quite a strong contrast changing from Croatia and Montenegro to Albania at the beginning. 😅 But eventually we really enjoyed the experience and definitely going there again to see the mountains.

@FeedingFoca Mountains are for us not for you ..🤣🤣🤣.
Just joking, yes I would say there is a contract with Croatia, but I wouldn't say at all a massive contrast with Monte Negro. I use to do the whole balkan and central EU twice a year driving

@@eaglesland8093 no not a big contrast. Balkans in general are similar countries. Just the quality of the roads in the North of Albania was a bit - let's say... difficult 😅 do you see this differently?

@FeedingFoca yes I agree with you , in North not very developed , although to be fair they are building motorway which will connect Montenegro to Albania, but is not due until 2925 I think. And also the present government majority are fro. The South of Albania , and they have invested heavily over there , and they had less appetite In the North, I don't want to say it or believe it . But the truth is there .

North side of country and some roads are not in good shape. Let's take these comments as a reason for doing better. The moment you admit there is a problem, it is the beginning of the solution. From an Albanian living in the shores of Polish Baltic 😅
