- HUMANITY'S DEFEAT OF THE GREAT APES IS COMPLETE. And we have demonstrated our power by turning them into performers for our amusement.
Revel in their ridiculousness here, in this video presentation of a selection of Great Apes in film and TV. Those crazy monkeys! What will they do next!
(hopefully rise up and destroy our civilisation)
Thank you. - Ігри
I like how 2024 pyrion is in 4:3 ratio and 1970s Clint Eastwood and his monkey are in 16:9
This is a perfect example the quality content I subscribed for
Fucking great, PFlax! Thanks for doing that. Humorous, but thought-provoking and concerning. I appreciate this kind of content, and I like you as a person for what you believe and what you support. Keep being a human worthy of a long, happy life, friend.
More of this type of content, please and thank you.
I mean that Tarzan bit is still hilarious lol. I mean the Wehrmacht reaction to hearing a chimp on the phone being "You idiot! It's the fuhrer!" is funny.
Lmao, this was a completely welcomed surprise in my Sub feed.
This gave me DotA archive vibes, but more much needed Pyrion and a nearly non-existent production budget. A1 content.
Edit: Finishing the video, it is sad how the media experiments with these powerful self-sufficient animals. Too many tragedies occurred till we seemingly learned our lesson to be more cautious and treat animals with great respect on sets.
I heard the every which way but loose orangutan's trainer used an axe handle to hit it in the nuts with when it disobeyed orders. You can see Clyde covering them in the "bang, Clyde!" scene. It is in Clint Eastwoods biography and was brought up a few times in the late Gilbert Gotfrieds podcast.
Keep doing stuff like this!!!
Finally god damn man has some comedic chops it's about damn time he got back to it!
Good lil video. I find it particularly upsetting when we force animals to fit human expectations and then push them (brutally) when they don't comply. Reading about Travis especially, retreating to his cage and dying in it, just something so human about it that's unbelievable upsetting
I heard you talk about this in the podcast. Never bothered to look for it but then a few days later, UA-cam decided to find it for me. lol
Great stuff, loved it, im all for this kind of content :)
You remain an inspiration.
Super well done Flax, really enjoyed this!!
I did enjoy it. Thanks for posting.
Wow, old TV is so bad. People used to look forward to this stuff, enjoy it. We've really got somewhere (better) as a species.
Pyrion. If you find this interesting you should check out the movie Roar and the story of its production. Insane
I would watch an hour long plfax video essay. please make more!
I think your editing was fine and I enjoyed the video cheers
This was a really fun little journey you took us on, thanks !
What a great video, really eye-opening. Would love more stuff like this!
Excellent presentation, hope you do more ✌️
Never even thought about this kind of stuff. Thanks for bringing it up flax!
Not the video I expected to watch today but a really really great one. Thanks, Mr Flax
Shocked and appalled I didn't get this in my feed and came from the reddit post. I must now rewatch all of your videos to tell the algorithm what's up.
I really liked this! More PyrionEssays🎉
TY for this educational video, sir
amazing content Ted! I just learn this from We say things podcast lmao
Sad that we have destroyed their habitat and then made them play in our entertainment.
Thank you for the great historical review. We are truly the greatest of apes.
when u have no internet
This was a great reminder to a problem with the movie industry. Sure i have enjoyed several movies where animals partake but as you mentioned, we can now do this with cgi. Would be cool to see a modern ace ventura or similar.
Amazing content!
"St. James Davis chimpanzee attack" was also pretty crazy.
Moe the chimpanzee was living in an animal sanctuary after biting some people. The couple who owned him visited for Moe's 39th birthday. They brought all sorts of party supplies, candy, chocolate milk, and a raspberry cake. After giving Moe a slice of cake, the couple were attacked by two chimpanzees who escaped the enclosure. The husband tried to protect the wife by getting her under the picnic table. The chimps mauled him, and destroyed fingers, his left foot, most of his buttocks, both testicles, part of his torso, and parts of his face including his nose and his lips.
Very important to give birthday cake to ALL of the chimpanzees. Don't show favoritism.
Chimps are social animals, so when they attack they don't go for the kill, they aim for disfiguration so that their victim would have to live with the shame and spend the rest of their lives at the bottom of the hierarchy, that's why they always aim for the face, genitals, and fingers, but never the vitals
Nice video
Lets go Pyrion , more of this
Did you borrow one of the Toms over at Yog towers to edit this or did you do it yourself? Whoever edited this did a great job!
Love this
Id watch an hour long video of flax explaining ww2 history
most unhinged video ive seen, i want more
we love you ted we really do =] ima rewatch some late games now
I love the fact this is in 4:3 for no reason
can't believe you missed out the little fellas in the PG tips advert where they're shifting a piano. Outrageous
How does pflax look younger now than he did 10 years ago
Brilliant.
good one pp
How about Wu Kong in Dota 2? Does anyone spare a thought for the monkey king?
thanks pflax for the sobering and poignant look into animal rights and explotation for sake of entertainment
I don't know what this is but I think I love it?
Where can I get the PFlax merch? I cant find a link. :(
I learned so much about these gentle killing machines.
Brings me back the time when I looked up what happened with Pankun, people need to realise that they are not circus props!
pyrion flax is really aging well. Kudos to you, good sir.
How do we really know ?
Soft Focus really went downhill when they replaced Bouphe, great video :D
That's what I was thinking it was similar to
now this is content
Thats a strange episode of Pflax in a bath robe but ok
omg Pyrion is going full monty python
This was thought up off the back of the orangutang in TJ Hooker wasn’t it
That's what I'm thinking too haha
WELL MET!
I'm here for Professor Flax's lecture series
PFlax are you implying Dota pub games are slowly getting better?
😘😘😘
When you think about all the other species that have gone extinct in our time as the dominant species, great apes have all actually made it pretty good with none of group's species going extinct.
The extinction of species just makes me super depressed. We've destroyed so much of this world.
Great vid shining light on this crap. Luckily its being phased out. But still shit!
Great video. Nice to see you trying something new Pyrion. Only kind of advice I can give is that I was so lost at the start of the video wondering what this was about. Maybe just a small introduction about what you're planning to talk about would be good?
It is a discusting industry when it comes to animals performing for our entertainment. I believe it is much better now than it once was. But it's always good to keep this in our thoughts as new entertainment is coming out.
Looking forward to seeing further videos like this dude!
Didn’t realise the prevalence
That's how Big Chimp works. They infiltrate every tenet of your life with their vaguely anthropomorphic antics, and when you realize, you've already been assimilated.
Has Pyrion gone slightly crazy i his old age?
Pyrion that was very interesting. You are too hard on yourself about editing.
*scratches armpit.
Great video, please make a series about movies in this format! (Maybe why anime is shit)
WE WON
simon doofy
Man this video would be a banger with shitty ms paint drawings
call me a race traitor all you want, but i'm team orangutan all the way. in the end all of us will bow to our orange overlords.
