I can explain the lack of traffic Flax! The government limits the number of cars allowed allowed in the country. You need a permit to buy one, and you have to bid for these permits. They go for tens of thousands of dollars/pounds. Cars are also very expensive and taxed very heavily. A new, small car, like a Toyota Corolla, that would go for about 20k USD in the UK, can cost about 100k USD in Singapore. There is also a road usage cost, where people are charged for using some roads during certain peak times.
@@LochyP the Corolla is for sale in the uk and has been since 2019 when it replaced the Auris. But obviously you're right it wouldn't be sold in USD. A current base spec for the new model year is approx 29k gbp.
The cigarette packet pictures are also enforced here in Australia. Cigarettes aren't allowed to be publicly advertised, have any marketing campaigns or any branding. All come in boxes similar to that showing a variety of side effects of smoking. All smoking products at stores need to be kept behind closed locked doors too and not publicly displayed, they just have lists with names and prices in basic font.

The rule about the President have to be from a minority race that have not been President in the past 6 cycles was only introduce last election and it was to disqualify other competitors from other parties. The rule was only introduce very last minute and the current Malay President was affiliated with the current and only ruling party of Singapore.

Salted egg fish skin is sort of an acquired taste, much like bubble milk teas (or boba). You'd have to have a lot of salted eggs and dried fish growing up before one can appreciate the combination of flavours in those fish skins.
