    Let's move on to the Mito Red Light Advanced Red Light Therapy Belt review:
    ✅ The Mito Red Light Advanced Red Light Therapy Belt is actually the second generation belt from Mito Red. I haven't reviewed the first generation yet. The second-generation product has been upgraded and everything has improved. The new belt has a better battery and new instructions and other tweaks
    ✅ This is actually the first time I've seen a red light therapy belt, which is crazy because I've been in the red light therapy space for a long time. The concept of a belt is interesting to me as you don't stand 6 inches from the LEDs but you press your body against the LEDs instead. The device is battery-powered, however, which might reduce the power output.
    ✅ I've tested the Mito Red Light Advanced Red Light Therapy Belt for a week or two, to get a good impression for my review
    ✅ The unboxing process was smooth although I didn't receive the correct adaptor for my grid. The Mito Red packaging was nice. The belt has quite a lot of LEDs, but the LEDs look different than those found on the panels - a total of 405 LEDs are included on the belt. Also, the LEDs are triple-chip, which is quite new in the red light therapy space. Other companies only offer dual-chip
    ✅ As a result, you're getting effectively 1,200 LEDs in this belt, which is quite impressive. The fabric of the belt is quite soft too. The LEDs cover only an area of a foot or so, so they won't provide full treatment around your entire torso. You can use it effectively on your quads, knees, elbows, and shoulder by fully wrapping the belt around those areas though. The belt does fix around the middle of the body very solidly though, so I'm happy with that
    ✅ The product costs $329 but with code ALEX you'll save 5% so you'll pay in the low $300 USD. Shipping is free in the US but intentionally you'll pay depending on the location
    ✅ The Mito Red Light Advanced Red Light Therapy Belt comes with a battery pack that can be placed in the pouch on the belt. The control panel is decently easy to navigate and helps you select the time and intensity
    ✅ I used the spectrometer to test the power output (irradiance) of the panel. At 6 inches, I get a 2.5 mW/cm2 power output. The peak wavelengths are 655 and 855 nm, which is a little bit off. At 0 inches though, my readings are much higher, ranging from 10 - ~44 mW/cm2, although it's really hard to get good readings so close up
    ✅ The power output is lower than with a panel, but, the case can be made that this product is not made to compete with a panel
    ✅ I've tried using this belt as a warmup for a gym session. It's harder to use during a workout although you can walk around with it. Turning the product on is also somewhat cumbersome. I also don't really see the need for the lower-powered options because it will increase treatment time needlessly
    ✅ The LEDs also became surprisingly warm after some 20-minute treatment
    ✅ Overall, the outcome of my Mito Red Light Advanced Red Light Therapy Belt review is that it's probably a useful product but far less versatile than the panels. The product won't replace a panel but I might use it in conjunction with a red light therapy panel. You can easily wrap this device on your torso during work, for instance, but you are getting less power and a smaller treatment area

    I have a MitoPro panel, but I purchased this to use in the evening while I’m laying in bed. I don’t use the battery pack, I plug it into a wall outlet. I love the long length of the cord, that is necessary for those of us that use it the way I do. An additional benefit I discovered is for treating menstrual cramps (targeting the lower abdomen), it has helped immensely. I actually like that it doesn’t make any noise, I find beeps annoying. I highly recommend this belt. ⭐️

    I am loving my belt. Level 4 at 30 minutes on my stomach as I'm falling asleep each night and I am feeling a slimming effect. (I was originally using it to help an angry liver, did not expect the slimming effect.) It gets toasty warm. I've also used it on aching joints (Rheumatoid Arthritis) and have felt pain-relieving benefits. I've also wrapped it around my head to fight off a migraine achieving a 50% reduction in severity. Thank you for explaining the power differences. I also have a tabletop mito red panel and love it too. You helped me understand the different applications based on power for each. Much appreciated. Now if I could just afford a full red light "bed." 🙌 Goals.

      Ahh this is awesome!! I'm so glad to hear you're getting a great response and it's interesting that it helps with your migraines. I haven't looked into that before.
      Haha - the bed is overkill IMO. A couple of large panels linked together + a stand if you want to use it horizontally is all one needs. Though I say that and I do think a bed would be kinda neat :P

    Thanks for this review. I have a similar belt, which I use daily for low back pain. But I recently found that it was a great help in recovering from a severe respiratory infection.
    Our outpatient medical treatment really wasn’t working after a couple of weeks, and my husband and I were coughing our lungs out and drowning in mucous. So I decided to use the belt as described in this study: “Cardiopulmonary and hematological effects of infrared LED photobiomodulation in the treatment of SARS-COV2,” which showed it shortened hospitalization and reduced need for oxygen. My belt only goes up to 850 nm of NIR, while the study used 940 nm - but it still worked for both of us. Not sure whether our infection was Covid, as the clinic refused to test us for some reason, but it shouldn’t matter, since the treatment isn’t infection-specific. We just laid the belt on our chests, over the area most affected by cough and congestion, and set for NIR for 30 minutes once or twice a day. A couple days of this, and our coughs and other symptoms receded and we could stop our meds.
    So sold on this technology! 🥰 I assume this also would work as well with a panel, but the belt is more comfortable when you’re stuck in bed.

    I've been using the first generation for about two years. Diodes look completely different from second gen. First generation diodes are rectangular shape and second gen. Is circular. First generation has 10 hz pulsing ability which I love whereas second gen do not. This belt works very well against inflammation and pain. i use it before going to the gym, over my nervous system areas on my head/neck(two sessions) and sympathetic/parasympathetic nervous system is wide awake for me to work out really well and use the panel at night.

    • @jacobbarfield7317
      @jacobbarfield7317 Рік тому +3

      @@Santos-ek8md Hi. Yes, I have still been using the Mito belt about 4 days a week on my abdomen. I think it does help with digestion (there is also some obscure study that concluded RLT can modulate the microbiome). I also think it does have a minor effect on localized fat loss, I was already lean before, but it seems my abs are slightly more visible and can consistently see veins in my stomach area (i don't work out or do fitness stuff. And if anything, my diet has been the worst its been for a very long time). I can't say RLT will change your life, it think it can help add 10-20% benefits to whatever application your using it for. Also, I stopped using it on my shoulder because it was just too hard to get it in a good position without having to be completely immobilized for the duration (any small movement would make the light array lift off the skin in one way or another, so I just stopped). Also since I'm updating, I will say that the Infraredi pad/wrap still seems to not have released (I check their site every couple weeks) despite what I was told by their customer support (who was obviously just going on whatever info she gets). Overall, I do reccomend RLT as an effective modality, and I do recomment the Mito Belt as currently being the most effective RLT Belt product on the market. Hope that helps!

    The battery is actually 12 volts at 3 amps and the USB charger source is 5 volts at 2 amps. The battery is rated for 15 ampere hours. There is a hard to find switch on the battery pack to turn it on so that it will power the belt controller. There are 4 blue leds (seen thru pinholes) that show the battery charge condition (probably representing 25, 50, 75 and 100%). Nothing in the user manual about this and no user manual received with the belt package. On my belt the power cord is too short so using the battery is easier than finding an extension cord.

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  2 місяці тому

      It could work; just remember wraps/masks have to be in direct contact with your skin. This is a little big to wrap around your head and while flexible it won't conform to your face but again I am sure you can make it work,

      I have a similar belt, and sadly the extra velcro bit doesn’t work to extend the waist circumference. Instead it is to wrap the belt around the should or other awkward area. The belt is a bit too short for me, so it pops open when I try to use it around my hips. But I can use it for my lower back by laying the belt on my bed, and then lying on top of it for treatment. That’s worked fine for the 4 months I’ve had it, with daily use - I just hope the pressure doesn’t shorten the life of the LEDs.

      I have a similar belt and the instructions say to use only for 20 to 30 minutes max (differs between booklet and online info video). The timer only goes up to 30 minutes, for this reason. Then you must wait at least 2 hours before using it again on any part of the body. So it wouldn’t be ok for continuous use. No mention of a limit to number of times used on the same area, with 2 hours in between treatments. However, some people in videos speculate that benefit may decrease with too much exposure/treatment.
      One user of a similar product complained her skin was burned after using repeatedly without the waiting period. I’ve been following the directions on mine for back pain and get good results with just one 20-minute back treatment per day. I have facet joint arthritis and degenerative disc disease/scoliosis. Your mileage may vary depending upon the source of your pain.

      There actually is some evidence that yes RLT will help lower body fat, I personally think it may be a bit of a stretch to think that you will see big changes. Focus on the low hanging fruit first - sleep, nutrition, movement etc.

    Do you think this would be safe to wrap around my head?

      I suppose it would be ok. There aren't any nnEMF fields being emitted. I'm no doctor though

      Wrap it around complete face ear to ear ,,pressing against ears when it heats up ,,,feels great, Great way to relax before sleep. .

      I plan to review a few products on Amazon soon, perhaps more indoor budget. Check out Hooga; they are some great products:ua-cam.com/video/iWSJub-ABs4/v-deo.htmlsi=nJISdTHdt8tCwsE1

      Yeah sorry I will admit it wasn't my best piece of work. It was my first time reviewing a red light belt and in all honest I wasn't quite sure how to structure it. I'll learn from my mistakes and next time make sure I'm pretty prepared going into filming. #Onwards&Upwards
