REF: Rosacea. I am 66. I discovered an easy solution to help my rid rosacea in my 40's. I keep a box of baking soda in my shower, sprinkle about 1/2 teaspoon in my hand and GENTLY rub on the rosacea foe about 15 seconds. I did this everyday till it cleared up (less than a week) and now do it about twice a week for maintenance. No, it does not tear my skin. I have suggested to many and it works!!
Please bring her back. She’s been the most informative person that makes you understand it better. I am 45 and have been doing it 1.5 years now and am absolutely amazed at the results. Knowing about rooibos now will hopefully be even more life changing🤞🏼
I have an old LED multi-spectrum I purchased several years ago for $400. It works wonders!!! I even completely put in remission within 3 days a bad case of Shingles my mother in law had using LED light on her back. Healing Shingles rash takes about 6 months on medication...LED dried it up completely without ZERO medication.
I had a full thickness cornea transplant about 2 years ago…I have had to take steroid eye drops daily since (which is bad for your eyes)otherwise I would start rejecting cornea within days… I have started using red light for skin without goggles (smallish mito table panel) and have drastically reduced my need for steroid eye drops… as a very welcome side effect .

I do not use a serum with it but I recently started adding organic cold-pressed hexane-free castor oil to my moisturizers and that has made a huge huge huge huge difference in my skin!!!!!! This QnA session is so thorough. The host absolutely covered all the possible questions, and Bev is so knowledgeable. I'm so glad that I stumbled upon this youtube! I've learned SO much!
I bought a red light mask and then bought the Maysama serum and got amazing results. Then it ran out and so thought I'd try the current body green tea one and I felt it didn't work as well so I've just reordered my second bottle of maysama serum and will never be going back. Brilliant video Gemma. I love Bev. Could listen to her all day ❤
I use my red light mask as soon as my alarm goes off, before I even get out of bed. I hit the snooze button and it goes off at pretty much the same time as the treatment is done. I’ve had amazing results doing it this way and it very easily works into my schedule.
I had eye surgery, lid reduction, i used. My celluma led light daily and the swelling and swelling went down remarkably. The doctor was somewhat amazed. I use near infrared daily on my legs due to restless leg syndrome. Also arthritis in my knee. Red light over shots. I wish I had the body table.
For the past two months, I've been using a red light therapy device from Future Form Official. Being in my late 50s, I decided to try it primarily for joint pain relief and to improve my skin tone. I dedicate 20 minutes each day to it, focusing on my face, neck, and upper chest. To my surprise, my chronic migraines have almost vanished, allowing me to sleep peacefully through the night. Additionally, my skin has become more radiant and youthful-looking. Despite my age, I've always been complimented on my skin, and this therapy has enhanced it even further. The experience is incredibly soothing, and I wholeheartedly recommend red light therapy for its diverse benefits.
Thank you for this video. It confirmed somethings I knew and taught me a few other things. I would like to see Bev back on the channel with you. Please extend my thanks to her as well. It's refreshing to hear an intelligent conversation regarding beauty treatments. Well done, the pair of you!
Red light made a huge difference on 2 little pink moles on my chest. 1 disappeared and the other is getting smaller so I have hopes. Had I known that was going to happen I would have taken pictures. I had some darker moles and they have flattened out and lightened tremendously! I was shocked because I did not expect that. I go to a tanning salon that has red light and I go every other day and they are 10 min long sessions.
Great video. Personal advice tho - Avoid Current Body mask - it gave me and my friend hyperpigmentation. And for me it also led to extra type of growths around the face. Their customer support is also the worst!
I always think these are way too expensive for me to manage to buy but when i think of how much money i waste on makeup i dont wear - i could have saved up for one! Need to start a savings pot
They aren't as expensive as you may think. Sure, some are, but not all. Just read all the reviews, even the 1 star reviews. That will tell you what you need to know.
This was great info plus a refresher. I’ve been using Omnilux face & décolleté masks for about 2 yrs, 3x/wk, for 20 min. per treatment. I called Omnilux in 2022 & asked if one 20 min. vs. one 10 minute treatment done 3x/week was ok & was told it was just fine so I have been doing it that way since my purchase. Results have been finer skin pores, a decrease in (but not completely gone) hyperpigmentation/sun spots. LED has definitely been a great addition to my skincare routine!
The new LED mask from Maysama looks amazing. Covering the mouth is an excellent idea and so many different settings. Can’t wait to hear about it. I have the current body one but I’m very tempted by this one. It’s good to know I can use my LED mask in the morning whilst I snooze without even getting out of bed!
I asked r red light expert Alex Fergus about this. You don’t need a mask if you have a panel. The panel fir me is better since I can’t target more areas
As a biochemist I'm a little confused about the description of the cell "breathing in" molecules from the extracellular space.. The import and export of molecules in the cell is a highly regulated process involving lots of different receptors. How does swelling of the cell induce cellular uptake?
The light is pulsing, so it's not the cell swelling after treatment. Although I would like to see the difference in tested cell uptake measured between constant red light treatment vs pulsed treatment. Perhaps there's more swelling pist treatment, leading us to believe it received more benefits.
I love science so this was very informative!! I'm 61 so red liggt therapy is probably needed. I really loved the explanation of how and why this works. Thank you!!!!
Thank you Bev and Gemma! ❤ This a huge hobby of mine ! I am fascinated by the anatomy of the skin and how different skincare ingredients repair the skin down to the cellular level. I didn’t want this video to end 😁.
Thank you! I stopped my red light treatments because I can't stand cleansing my face and not applying my serums until afterward. Now I will feel so much better!❤
Thanks soooooo much for this information. It’s been wicked helpful. There is so much conflicting and contradicting information and it’s very confusing. Especially when it comes to if we should use a serum before red light or after. The mask I have a home says not to use anything until afterwards. Then I have a red light wand from a different company and they say to use a serum ( theirs or course) before using. In fact, it actually won’t turn on unless you use a serum or something to moisturize your skin.
Excellent!!! Cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this interview. Love learning new things and this is a fascinating science! Already have my red light now to just add my roobios to the routine

Well made and very informative. These are questions I have had for a year or two, especially whether it's necessary to cleanse the face before LED (because doing so always dries me out too much so I find it best to not cleanse in the morning before LED).
This is one of the best, if not he best, skin videos I've watched. It went through every question that has occurred to me about red light (I'm a new but avid user). Thank you, truly, thank you!!
YES!!!! Bring her back. I saw her on another UA-cam video last year and learned so much about pulsed red light. I've not invested in any red light mask because no one had a pulsing one. I'm so excited about this Maysama mask. However, I also need something for my "turkey neck" and was hoping they would come out with a neck and decolletage light therapy too. ??? My skin and neck are looking way better with just using Dr. Pen and ZIIP. But now it's time to invest in the red light therapy. This video is even better than the one I saw last year. Thank you!!! 🥰
That explains why I’m having migraines more frequently sinse starting pulse red light therapy! I thought it was supposed to be good for your eyes! This was a huge eye opener. Thank you!!
Good for the eyes, maybe? But certainly not for the brain... I also get migraines and wouldn't wish them on anyone. I've reduced mine substantially, by eating protein with every meal, especially if sugary sweets or desserts are involved. Protein helps keep your blood sugar levels stable. Low blood sugar seems to trigger my migraines. Stress tablets with multi Vitamin B complex also helps a lot with stabilizing blood sugar and reducing Cortisol (stress hormone) that may trigger migraine episodes. Hope this helps you as well! Best of luck to you!
Love all the information. I have been using Maysama Green Roobois for about a year. Just started red light therapy about 5 weeks ago. Excited to compare my 3 month pictures.
Wow & Wow! What a great interview. Thank you for bringing in an expert and talking about the scientific basis. This is simply the best review I’ve seen. I wish I hadn’t gotten the mask but pulse - too late now. But you’ve given the info I need for optimising use.
Thank you so much!! This was excellent information, very helpful!! I bought the Current Body face and neck masks after you and your mom presented it a couple years ago, LOVE it!!! THANK YOU!
Thank u Gemma. Love this lady. I want to hear her talk for days. She's wonderful. I really enjoyed this video. U knocked it out of the park. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Question: I do Finnish sauna every day (not infrared, just traditional dry sauna). What should I think of regarding the timing of the Red Light Therapy? As of now, I do sauna at lunch and LED in the evening to be safe, but I would prefer doing LED in the morning if it is not affected by my sauna a few hours later. Thanks!
I use Red light LED therapy mask because I don’t want to use more invasive procedures (I tried Botox once but I didn’t like my constant ‘surprised’ look) I’m not young (nearly 70) but I’m told I don’t look it - so my red light & skin cleansing will do for me plus good sleep!😂❤️
This is the best video I’ve ever watched and the most knowledge I’ve learned from anyone. I think I need to watch it again to soak in all that knowledge in!
I have been doing Red light Led for years then I stopped and low and behold my skin improved rapidly once I stopped all I can think is that constant use isn't great but using it intermittently allows your skin to benefit perhaps recover?
Many thanks, that has been so informative. I have just purchased Maysama LED panel and really noticed a difference in my rosacea, after so many years of trying so many different serums, creams and even thread vein treatment last year. Very happy.😊
I have a Red Rush panel for pain and face. What is your method of use for pain? And for face? I have not been regular in use. Ordered the serum and plan to use post red light. But wonder how to use the light to get good effect for pain. Any suggestions??
@@moiraannebietz1618 very easy, I'm suffering from back pain sometimes and shouders, just let the hot light hit the place, as near as possible without burning yourself, it's truly a miracles!
Have just ordered my subscription for the Maysama serum 👍..I'm 58 and been using the currentbody mask and neck led and love them,it was your original video with your mum Gemma and the neck mask that got me onto LED...the results are amazing. I now use mine every other day for maintenance 😁
This was the best and most informative video I have ever seen regarding RLT. You have answered so many of our questions, much appreciated I will be sharing with my sister and friends Thank you. There’s another video on UA-cam doing a review of maysama and he said about 6 inches is optimal but you can pull back farther to get more skin exposure buy it won’t be as strong.
Thanks to both of you. Great information! As a 25 year Rooibos tea drinker, I never thought to use it in skincare but I will be on the lookout. If it's good for my body😊, it's got to be good as a topical !
Thank you so much for this informative video! I just purchased a red light therapy mask and the Maysama Rooibos Serum. You answered my concerns regarding Tretinoin use. I am now comfortable using red light in the morning and still using the Tretinoin at bedtime.
I use a 4 different light therapy wand and I seen and felt with my hands a difference right away. The light therapy helped my serum get into my skin. The results are amazing. Be careful with your eyes.
Hi, this was so informative and interesting. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Please mention best exposure time aswell like 10, 20 or 30 minutes? Thank you 😊 🙏
I have recently picked up a bottle of Maysama to add to my red light therapy, thanks to your recommendation. I love the serum on its own and I’m looking forward to seeing the results of them working together.
I have used my mask for years (from current body ) It has really improved my skin. I’m 59 & suddenly developed a rosacea type flare up & was prescribed some topical steroid, I wasn’t happy using this so bought the mask, I use on my neck & chest. My skin looks great for my age & have had lots of comments. I use in the eve before bed.
Questions for Bev: 1. Do some people just not respond to red light therapy, and do we know why this might be? (I used the currentbody hand perfector unit for more than 6 months, as directed, with Maysama serum, and there was no visible change in my skin. In fact, my hand skin looks better since stopping!). 2. Is there a risk of fat loss from red light therapy? Thanks 😊
I've read that red light therapy is used for fat loss, Google it, and there is a risk of losing fat in the face although I don't know if this is true. I probably only use 3 times a week for shorter period of time and when you're not accessing daylight. I've just bought a small once I have no idea yet if it's going to be useful, I'm hoping my eyesight will improve, but I'm still on the fence about red light therapy until I see evidence personally.
This is brilliant Gemma! I bought the CB mask ..5 days ago using your code and some green tea serum… so this is perfect timing❤ I appreciated the discount and now your answering all my questions 😊
I'm South African, living in China at the moment and I am drinking my South African Rooibos tea every day. (Rooibos is indigenous to South Africa. It's good for health and for skincare). Never heard about Maysma, but must be good if it has Rooibos as an ingredient.. I also started red light mask therapy about two weeks ago, I already love it!
The one issue I’ve had with the Maysama serum is that it’s incredibly drying so I am very glad to know that I can use an essence or a serum to help with that.
Humectants can be drying if not followed up with emollients (directly after LED). We are launching some new formulations in Q2 and Q3 which may suit you better so please stay in touch 🙏💚
@@maysamabeauty1839 I always follow up LED with more hydration steps but was afraid to layer anything else with the rooibos serum prior to treatment, since most instructions say not to apply skincare. Now I will try to incorporate a mist or a serum to help with that temporary tight feeling. Thanks for the reply!

Has there been any improvement?
Excellent presentation, we can feel the authenticity of a practising scientist. Many thanks, Bev and Gemma.
Thank you so much Janie. Truly appreciated 💚
Thanks!
So great to see the two of you together! Thank you fir a very informative and fun video Gemma and Bev
Hi Claudia x
Gemma, you got me started on LED red light therapy and Maysama. Thank you for continuing to educate us on these skincare aides.
Brilliant and very informative really enjoyed this video Bev explained the science behind red light therapy in an easy to understand way.
Fantastic! Excellent explanations, answering all my questions re: LED and I bought the serum in a flash!
This was so helpful! You’ve answered so many questions I had on LED.
I have been doing Red light Led for years then I stopped and low and behold my skin improved rapidly once I stopped all I can think is that constant use isn't great but using it intermittently allows your skin to benefit perhaps recover?
How often were you using it? Because I get very sire red skin and led really helps that.
Many thanks, that has been so informative. I have just purchased Maysama LED panel and really noticed a difference in my rosacea, after so many years of trying so many different serums, creams and even thread vein treatment last year. Very happy.😊
This was the best thing I've watched in a long time. Thank you!
Wow! This was so interesting and informative. Bev is a wealth of knowledge. Bring her back sometime! I learned so much! xx
Aww thank you so much Elizabeth! 💚
Great explanation! Red like does treat the surface of the skin, we need the infrared with the read light.
I have Beurer IL 21 Infrared Lamp and I most said it's amazing! Bought it in Sweden for around 12 dollars, used for pain and truly unbelievable!
@@moiraannebietz1618 you can use arnica oil after the lamp, Weleda has a good one, and just massage
I have the Omnilux mask for more than 3 years and at 66 yrs of age I have never seen my skin look so good . Have a wonder lunch ladies and look forward to seeing Bev again on your channel.👏🏼👏🏼🙏🏼✌🏽
How often do you use it and how long 10 minutes?
I’m a senior new to red light ty Very informative
So interesting and informative. Thank you Bev for sharing your knowledge and experience with us.....and to you Gemma for having Bev on here, what a fab idea! Well done both.....hope you enjoyed your lunch 😊
Thank you so much! 💚
Love this video! We want more Bev!👏🏼
I truly enjoyed this video, absolutely have her on again. I’m very interested in hearing about the differences between the panel and the face mask.
Loved it! Super helpful, interesting and informative. And sweet! ❤
This was by far the most informative information I've heard about red light therapy. Thank you!! 💖💖💖
I wish someone would have asked how close you would have to sit in front of the pulsed light panel in order to get all the benefits?
There’s another video on UA-cam doing a review of maysama and he said about 6 inches is optimal but you can pull back farther to get more skin exposure buy it won’t be as strong.
Absolutely love my newly puchased FAQ Swiss 202 LED mask, so lightweight, offers full spectrum LED light, skin has improved tremendously.
How so ? please do share. Thank you.
Thanks to both of you. Great information! As a 25 year Rooibos tea drinker, I never thought to use it in skincare but I will be on the lookout. If it's good for my body😊, it's got to be good as a topical !
That’s exactly where I started! 👏👏💚
Thank you so much for this informative video! I just purchased a red light therapy mask and the Maysama Rooibos Serum. You answered my concerns regarding Tretinoin use. I am now comfortable using red light in the morning and still using the Tretinoin at bedtime.
I hope you do have Bev back! My question is: is it most effective to have the red light touching your skin?
Thank you. ❤
You mean leds? NO
Wow ,this was a awesome video. I didnt want it to end ! Bev, you look amazing ,what is your complete skin care routine, Please share with us all.
Thank you 😊 🙏
So great!!! Yes, please bring her back!! Thank you!
I have recently picked up a bottle of Maysama to add to my red light therapy, thanks to your recommendation. I love the serum on its own and I’m looking forward to seeing the results of them working together.
Let me know how you get on x
I have done the same. If you are going to take the time to use red light, why not maximize the results?
Hi Tina. Thank you so much. Please do take before and afters. We’d love to see them 💚
This was very informative, thank you Bev and Gemma.
I LOVE Lady C! I wish she was on TV more often. I never tire of her intelligent banter. She tells it exactly how it is, unapologetically. I love it
I have used my mask for years (from current body )
It has really improved my skin.
I'm South African, living in China at the moment and I am drinking my South
African Rooibos tea every day. (Rooibos is indigenous to South Africa. It's good for health and for skincare). Never heard about Maysma, but must be good if it has Rooibos as an ingredient.. I also started red light mask therapy about two weeks ago, I already love it!
Very good video!!!!! Thank you. I always miss the questions in the Community Tab - need to remember to check those.
Really interesting. I have resisted the serum until now, as getting great results with my mask anyway, but am definitely going to give it a go now.
Gemma….this was fantastic…thanks so much…you are a little gem..xx😊
I use red light device every other day. it also has RF feature. FAQ SWISS , excellent!
Excellent video! Thank you both for your detailed info and overall clear wisdom on this topic. Plus, you both have such beautiful skin! 🙏
I’ve just started thinking about incorporating red light. What great information this has been. Thank you very much!
Big love for LED therapy! Buying the FAQ device is probably the best skincare investment I've made
I am a newbie at this and I never heard of this product. Can't wait to try
Same. Where do I purchase?
Thank you so much. Bev is a wonderful source of real sience information.
Thank you for all this information. So so helpful. And I love Maysama!!
This was so informative, so helpful. Thanks for organising this Gemma 👏
I love my Maysama Pulse LED Panel!!!!!! But I was a little surprised that there was no information in regards to her new LED pulse mask. :(
Make sure you tune in to this Thursday’s video x
Brilliant video…so much valuable information thank you so much ❤
