Opinion on a fruitarian diet eating twice a day, fruit only? I myself am Carnivore and discussed the glucose, sugar burning rather than the fat and protein metabolism. We agreed to disagree but would like your perspective on it. 🤗

Red dye that is in almost every red drink, PROVEN to cause Cancer. What ya eating Cheetos with orange powder. Man never mind you people will never wake up. Why are half our foods are illegal in other countries? They make different MTN DEW, Doritos, etc for other countries because the ingredients are illegal in other countries, but in USA it's alright.

Once body goes under Ketosis, it becomes easier to fast. 3 day fasting is relatively easy. My experience: becomes difficult from 4th day on. My longest fasting was 7 days but I don’t believe I will do it again. 3 day fasting is good enough :). I am a healthy 61 yr old n look 50 according to many people who meets me for the first time :)

My family has a history of fasting. I grew up in extreme poverty and my parents would water fast so that they could provide the food for me and my sister. I grew up in NYC and most days my only meal was the free breakfast and lunch I received in school. As I got older I was used to fasting since it was a part of my family's daily life. My parents would fast every weekend and my sister and I would eat two small meals each day. Years later when we were no longer poor and I graduated from college, my family still ate the same way. My parents are in their late 90's and people think they are in their 60s. They have never been on any medication. I am in my 60s and people think I am 40. I have never had any health issues and continue to eat two meals a day and fast four days twice a month. I raised my children without processed food and they too fast. We did this before the internet, and I can say it cannot be genes since relatives are either on heavy medications or died at an early age.
I came back to this comment since there were many replies. I want to say that my family is no longer in poverty. After college, I was able to have a very successful career and I was able to help my parents financially. My children did not do fasting when they were young. They just skipped breakfast because nobody in the household ever eats breakfast. They were well fed with my cooking but as teenagers, they would join me on a one or two day fast. They insisted on it, not my idea. They are now in their twenties and still do not eat breakfast and fast a few days each month. They see that I am healthy and that their grandparents, who are 97 years old, are still able to live independently with no medical issues. Even if you do not do a multi-day fast, just skipping breakfast and eating an early dinner is so good for your health. M

They took tissue samples placed a market in the area where the mri showed a 1cm and 3cm mass. I continued to fast , walk daily, cut sugar. I had my mastectomy in may and the pathology report showed no cancer around that marker. 4.5 year cancer free . I 1000% believe in fasting and will do it for the rest of my life.

Your down 'business' losing ability to go... and you need it to clean somehow before get complete dry and will be stuck for let's say several days. I am not here to make you scary, cause I have done it myself maybe fifty or more times and it is to easy to go into this process and not doing it correct!

Thanks so much for this interview. I’ve been called a liar so often, because I lost over 100 pounds in six months with almost no loose skin. Everyone accused me that I must have gotten surgery. Wich would never get rid of loose skin all over the body anyways. But truth is, I got so sick from stomach pain that I stopped eating for a few weeks. After two weeks I started bone broth and did only bone broth and the occasional egg for three months. I lost 70 pounds in that time and after starting to eat again, my food addiction didn’t return. I still did a bone broth fast every week for a day, out of fear of that stomach pain. In the end I went from 250 to 128 pounds. I didn’t regain weight until I got pregnant two years later and didn’t gain more than recommended during pregnancy . Now I know that I’m not crazy, the fasting was the reason my skin was shrinking as well. Btw., the stomach pain didn’t return. My liver is normal now and pre diabetes is gone.

It literally saved my life not only physically but mentally and spiritually as well. I love fasting so much I fast for the high ! That’s an addiction I can handle. Staying on keto too I think it’s good for inflammation. I lie to people and say 70 lbs so I don’t get an eye roll.

I did my first water fast last year for 14 days. Lost 12 lbs of fat and gained 2 lbs of lean muscle. I slept like a baby with incredible rest, lost the dark circles under my eyes by day 11/12. My face got tighter and smoother. Since then I have consistently done at least a 5-7 day fast every month. In the past year I look like I reversed my age by at least 15 years. I'm 50 and look like I'm early 30's now. I have almost a 6 pack but dont do a lot of sit ups. I do HIIT 3 days a week for just 20-30 mins. I was pre diabetic and had high cholesterol. My blood results now is that of a 20 year old. To say this has changed my life is an understatement. I have noticed that my hair has slowly started to grow back in patches in my crown that I had thought I had lost for good. Not sure if that will continue but I hope so.. The power of Autophagy is incredible and blows my mind.

Keep it up. The trick is to eat clean. Healthy fats like avocados. The carnivore diet, a nice grass fed, grass finish steak with rice. You won’t be hungry for many hours. Just do intermittent fasting, up to 22 hours without eating. Anything over 36 hours is prolonged fasting, not necessary to lose weight.

Fasting is the most important EXERCISE you can do, there is no machine in the gym, or floor exercise you can do that is more effective than fasting. Fasting is exercise for the gut, like weights are for mussels, fasting is for the organs. We did not evolve with buffets or fast food, we evolved in a feast and famine environment. Breakfast is ALSO NOT the most important meal of the day, that is a business slogan created by Mr Kellogg to sell breakfast cereal so he can be rich and you can be sick. I have religiously fasted since the first day of 2022. I only eat one meal a day. I started off eating a light breakfast. But I cut out all sugar. Now with one last day of 2022 left I have lost almost seventy pounds. I am a sixty four year old female, height five two. I used to eat from stress and depression. I have RA, High blood pressure, Thyroid issues, MS and auto immune issues. After one year everything has reset. So much of the addiction is that we are hooked on sugar. I used to sleep eat because my brain literally wouldn't sleep without eating half way through.

Occasional 3 day fasts are great. Fasting more then 72 hours is not healthy. The metabolism actually starts to slow down then. Daily fasting of 17 to 23 hours allows the body to detox, and tap into its own glycogen and fat stores. We humans eat for too many hours every day. Narrowing our eating windows every day is more gentle to the body then drastic many day fasts. We all have to figure ourselves out and what works best for us. Good luck and continued good health.

Decided to do 3 days fast every week with omad on my eating days( eating more fruits and vegetables at 6pm only... No meat, and no sugar, continued taking green tea and apple cider vinegar on an empty stomach )...My God! the results were amazing! Damn, I 'm a great testimony... I feel so free..

I'm 53 with zero health problems and people normally guess my age about 15 years younger than I am. Sadly the 'secret' of fasting will not get into the mainstream because nobody can profit from it - in fact most of the power brokers in society would lose a lot of $. Who can profit from a perfectly healthy person who stays that way simply by eating less?

I'm down to 208 lbs. and now that I've started riding my bike 7 miles a day again the weight is coming off faster. I hope to be at 160 lbs. by June. I'll be ramping up my rides to 15-20 miles a day as soon as it gets a little warmer and my fitness returns. And it was easy. I'll never stop doing it. I feel so good and I'm almost never hungry anymore. I do 18 and 6. I eat at 8 Am and again at 2 Pm. No snacks and I drink water or unsweetened tea. I used to always be craving carbs and sweets. Not anymore. Now I crave grilled meat and vegetables and salads. I eat 3 eggs and three slices of bacon for breakfast. I eat a small grilled steak or chicken or fish for dinner and a big salad and a bowl of berries and cream for dessert. sometimes I have a piece of pie or cake but not often. I just don't crave that stuff anymore. many times when 2 PM comes around I'm not even hungry. Sometimes I skip dinner altogether. I'm 55, 5' 9" tall.

I remember in high school only eating OMAD and not thinking anything of it. Never fought weight issues. In retirement now and struggling to keep weight off. I've done intermittent fasting before with the 16/8 hour fast, now doing my first 24 hour fast in many years!

Thanks! I learned about fasting in 1978, while studying Ayurveda. The last 3 years I've been fasting intermittently and extendedly, 24-108 hrs. I'm almost 62 and I never get sick, seldom tire, am at a great weight and I am very active. I hike 5 miles a day without feeling sore or tired. I enjoy having people guess my age; generally they say 40's. I'm a performer so it's important for me to look good so I can wear nice clothes and have energy.
Of course, it hasn't hurt that I grew up on a hundred acres farm. We would play all day and feast on wild stuff: plums, black berries, persimmons, pecans, sour grass, etc. We snacked on parched and boiled peanuts and sweet potatoes in the evenings as a family. I still live in the country, garden and eat insanely healthy foods.

@@aguliani You're welcome! Starting a 3 day fast today. Experimenting with something different: starting my fast after closing my eating window at 2pm. Generally dinner the night before is my last meal.

@@delphinekirkland1757 I’m getting inspired to try a 3 day fast now. I’ve done quite a few (about 50) One Meal A Day fasts in the past 4-5 months and a couple of 36-48 hour fasts. Now I want to kick it up a notch.
What do you take other than water during your extended fasts? Salt, electrolytes, multivitamin tablets? I’d be interested in learning from your experience.
