@@Fantapewwhen it’s cold… so when the granola is done. Otherwise it’d melt, obviously. Just mix it in before storing it, why mix it in for every bowl you eat??
For people looking for addition protein, I recommend adding protein powder and peanut butter, removing the sugar (if your protein powder is sweetened) and butter.
I almost fell off my chair when you said since there was no label to tell you it's500 calories per serving it doesn't count! I am making this granola now (minus the brown sugar).
If you ever want to enjoy your favorite store bought snack, do not, I repeat, DO NOT read the nutritional information. I made that mistake once. I use to eat those jumbo chocolate iced honey buns all the time until I had the brilliant idea to see how many calories was in it. 🤯🤯🤯. "That's why they are so good"
Josh I live on the road in cheap motels every night doing construction I have no access to a kitchen what is the best meal besides sandwiches and overnight oats that I can make with nothing more than a microwave to combine with a high protein diet (I gym in the mornings)
If you need to get in your protein, protein powder could be very convenient. Otherwise, stuff like lentils and beans is high in protein and you can make those with a microwave. But in general (since you seem to be at motels a lot) a great investment would be a hot plate or even better something like the Instant Pot (that is a 7 in 1 electronic pressure cooker with timers and stuff). All you need is an outlet. Slow cookers/crock pots are also an idea, but the instant pot already does that more or less if you want to slow cook. Then, there are steamers. If you already have a hotplate you don't really need one (just get an insert for a pot to boil water on) but you can even make meat in a steamer (it dosen't taste bad I promise you, in Asia they do it a lot with dumplings and chicken). I've made burger patties before in a steamer and they tasted amazing.
Was looking for a granola recipe as the yogurt with granola my daughter loves was out at the store. This was an easy and delicious recipe. I used honey instead of syrup. How do I store? In fridge or pantry and for how long may it stay fresh? TIA
Lol all granola even store bought has a ton of sugar in it. You can use low sugar, or sugar free syrup. That's the nice thing about homemade granola you control what is put in it.
One thing wrong with your recipe. Absolutely do not need to add sugar! That’s why people make their own. To avoid the added sugar. Add top quality organic honey instead and research why it’s a healthy natural sweetener.
There is no label so you can eat as much as you want 'and it does not count'. Are you drunk? And looking at the ingredients I can buy healthier from the store.
And if you eat it at 2am the kcal are sleeping so you dont cheat
LMAO

Looks delicious! I can’t wait to make some. Thanks for the recipe!❤

unsweetened coconut shavings, almonds and dark chocolate chunks will make this FIRE
I can tell u like almond joys lol!
Do you put the dark chocolate after toasting in the oven? Or just when you are going to eat it?

or artificial sugar
My favorite way to eat granola is with my hands.
If you want your granola really crunchy you can add an egg white to it

Pro tip if you wanna avoid butter or oil, sub in any seed or nut butter (tahini included)
Seed and nut butters are worse for your health though.
oooooo as in moon. I was thinking about trying tehini yesterday. Confirmation. thank you.
I tried this with pancake syrup and it still tasted good😊❤would recommend yall to try it out!!

Whoa that looks amazing and super simple
I just use, peanut butter, coconut oil and honey, rest is chia seeds and oats, if you have puff rice cereal it would be a game changer
Mmmmm. Yum. Definitely trying this. 😍
Swerve brown sugar and sugar free syrup and I’m on it 😜✅ gonna try soon
Add salted pepitas too and some raisins at the end. Great thing to have tho.
Appreciate the weight measurements too
Hi josh !! please make more recipes that don’t require being reheated!!!! Requesting breakfast and lunch ideas👀
Super
Just made it! Now I gotta keep the kids outta it till the morning 😅
Can you make a mobile drinks with at least 30 grams of protein, like multiple drink for on the go instead of something like fairlife?
if you did 1 cup of milk with a scoop of protein powder you'd be at 28 grams

@@strangelizard439 an airfryer is also an idea

Can you make these into granola bars
What brand of syrup are you using?
Thank you
Yesss so much cheaper than buying it
Add protein powder to bump up the protein
who da f r u?
Do you have any idea on how the clusters type is made?
When the granola is done, press it together with a spoon, or once it's cooled, it will stick together.
“No nutritional value” proceeds to give us a nutritional value
Can I sub the maple syrup for honey?
You probably can I don't see why not.
LOL about the best part of making homemade granola and not knowing the calories. YES!
how can i make it high in calories tryna bulk
I don't have maple syrup nor brown sugar what can I use instead pls????
liquid honey
How do I store it
Was looking for a granola recipe as the yogurt with granola my daughter loves was out at the store. This was an easy and delicious recipe. I used honey instead of syrup.
How do I store? In fridge or pantry and for how long may it stay fresh? TIA
Store in a air tight container, and it should stay good up to a month.
so that's how granola has that many calories... it's pure sugar lol
Even worse store bought
and full of fat. I can buy better store bought by reading labels.
I mean it has some oat in it too. 😂
You can make a sugar free version with egg whites
“there’s no nutritional label or packaging so you can eat as much as you want and it doesn’t count”😅😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂 as much as you want with no label huh. that made me lol
1/2 cup syrup
2tbsp butter
I know you counted all those calories haha
Coconut oil, raw honey will takes those cslories down
1/4 cup brown sugar
You can leave it out if you want.
Hilarious!
Well I found out what I can do with my oat meal that's just sitting around
can you use normal sugar
Yes
thank you. Btw love the content your meal prep videos helped me so much during my cut@@TheMealPrepManual
3.5cups oats
Is there something I can replace the maple syrup with
Honey
lol. it doesnt count. haba
What’s your opinion on shelf life in a container for home made granola?
I think you'd probably want to use something other than butter if you want longer shelf life, like coconut oil maybe?
Maple syrup, eh? lol
could you incorporate protein powder in there somewhere?
Looks like a good recipe, but I think I'm just gonna buy a granola bar lol
😂😂
Use real maple syrup
As a Vermonter. I took your Maple Syrup use personally.
The calories are not so worrying, it's the seed oils they add to most packaged granola.
Oh God one of those... 🙄

Brown sugar! No cancer for me. I will keep looking for a healthy, non-cancer causing recipe.
sugar is not a carcinogenic. though obesity is a contributing risk factor
All granola I find has rasins in it which is gross so yay
Unhealthy stuff but i like the mention of stir every five minutes, they can really churn if one doesn't pay attention.
Just because there's no nutritional label doesn't mean there's no calories and you should eat as much as you like.
Sugar and more sugar 😩🤨🤨
Put less sugar then.
Put less you clown bitch
That’s the great thing about cooking, you can adjust a recipe to however you like
I think it's not the best thing if we don't know the nutrition facts about what you are eating.
2sp cinnamon

This is aint cheap tho. I need to buy an oven again to make this.

Then put less

Use less or omit it altogether. And you can substitute maple syrup for honey.
