This spoke to my heart. I’ve always wanted to work with kids but have been told that I’m too smart to do so and should go out and make more money. Now I’m looking to start teaching preschool at age 31
I’m afraid to leave my job. Been there for over 5 years and have wanted to leave for several years now. I have had a bunch of jobs over the years and know every job has problems. I know what’s gonna happen. I leave and how long until this new place falls apart.
I just left my enviable job at 26, people are so surprised. I feel so much better now. Pursuing what I want to do

Youre lucky to find this info. If there are rumours of a toxic culture you are better off not working there. It's probably ten times worse

I will very soon be leaving a long term job. It was good for a long time but the industry has changed to where I don't like it. On a whim I applied for a job in a different industry. its interesting how little value ourselves. I'm being hired in way higher position than I thought would be offered

Gosh,, that last part really hit me. I'm just like Nicole my dream is being shoved aside by those closest to me, telling me that my ambition can only be a side thing, that I can't make it an actual full-time career. This has been said to me growing up. It skewed my mind into making the wrong decision for my education. I took a major in something I'm not truly passionate but it will make those around me proud. I got miserable during university and I couldn't perform well, but I managed to graduate on time. Now, I've decided to pursue something that I truly desire ever since young. But I still need to get a stable income. So currently, I struggle a bit trying to balance my full-time job and side hustle.

@@NotShowingOff The way to handle the stress is probably setting boundaries which likely wont come from staying with the current employer. Probably it has to do with company expectations and poor leadership...
Don Dodge it’s difficult to know what causes the stress. Is the person more anxious in general? Is the job or manager more demanding in general? And from my impression, leaving for another job adds more stress as well.
I don't understand how she thinks helping ppl learn to read makes her feel stupid!! I used to help adults learn to read!! Reading is fundamental. Yucky ppl always want to make some of us feel stupid for wanting what they can't understand. Ppl please DO YOU PLEASE 🙏🙏. Yes. I have made the biggest mistake of my life for have left my high paying job and took a huge pay cut thinking it may have save my sanity. I have a "never again" moment. And pray for a second chance. 🙏🙏🙏
What happened?
Like I said in another video of this excellent channel I just quick today this miserable Job I have in the hospital making a low paycheck that I’ve been having to drive for Lyft in the weekends , there no mistake leaving a place where you feel already dead without opportunities of enjoying the short days of your life without feeling like shit a Monday morning
So I will make a step in the unknown and do What I actually want to do and everything will be fine , Jesus Said “not only of bread the men ( the human) live “
She's making a mistake. Always take the job with the highest salary. You only have a limited amount of years you can work in your life. MAXIMIZE YOUR PROFITS
