Finish well! You owe them nothing they owe you nothing....except for being gracious on both sides. Leaving a job you love is like losing a family member, but it's OK and you will be ok.....you will be ok!

Thank you I really needed this shit right now . I really love my job but I got dreams that I’m going to make reality and their pay isn’t doing it for me no more.

I needed to hear this today. I've been feeling guilty about leaving my job of 8 years for an opportunity that pays significantly more. I'm emotional like her. lol

Gosh I can relate to this feeling. It’s not about money for me but about growth and balance. I love my job and I feel very loyal but the opportunity I have gives me career growth, stability due to a pension and work/life balance.

I am going through that now.. Today was my last staff meeting and it was obvious how much is not in place yet..
At my work we have been struggling for a wile.. we used to be 12 and now we were 4.. if I was not working, I was very stressed about jobb.. my husband said I looked like a zombie.. with me out there are just 3 left.. and they are not hiring a full time person to replace me.. I have been crying in every time I am giving training to my coworkers.. it’s just so much to do and very little time for them to learn.. on the other hand I am dreaming about my new jobb, the position is perfect for me, the amount of work is a lot, but not three people’s jobb in one.. I feel like I am betraying the organization.. but again.. this has been very hard on my family.. I need to think about them..

This is what I needed!! My team would be in a fix when I leave but I will be able to work on the baby steps and pursue my goals. This is a hard decision but I know I can't stay.

I got the feeling the host nudged her in a certain direction and she just went with it.

The job I’m at I love so much. I’m getting my masters in public health and, eventually, my DrPH. The hospital I’m at now, in all words, told me I couldn’t grow with them and I could stay until I finish my masters in 2024. Nevertheless, I have two jobs that will give me the experience I need, and I can grow with them. It’s Just so hard.

I left a job I loved for higher pay and regretted it didn’t stay there long..sometimes the money isn’t worth more than doing what you love.. do your research before changing

I have a job offer that pays 4$ more per hour than what I make now. Been with current employer for 2 and 1/2 years and did not get my raise. I was angry because no one told me why. I never say no to anything anyone asks of me, even outside of my job description, so I was a bit hurt by this. I have now found a new job, issue is the new job has low reviews. I plan to work there next week while telling my old job I'm sick with the rona so I can get 2 weeks off using my pto. If I like the new job, that's it, I'm staying. If I don't then I can just go back to my old job. I hate to lie to my old job, but I have to put my family first.
