the second girl in the video is an influencer who makes bank. she's definitely not broke, and can absolutely afford to pick up the check for her family!
The second girl has a huge following (9 million on tiktok) and social blade says her monthly earnings on youtube is $11k-181k. I think she can get the check at the restaurant lol
And good luck to her on how long that gravy train lasts. That's called being a NON-contributing member of society. Or a "worthless eater," to the elites' way of thinking. Good luck surviving in the coming cataclysmic reset.
We are about to drop $3800 this week to pay off 2 more debts. We are down to the last few debts and then on to baby step 3. The amount of stress that had been lifted since we stated budgeting in May is incredible. I can't wait to feel the relief of no debt.
At the end, when all the thousands of dollars that were coming into your hands and out again to pay bills, suddenly has no where to go and gets to stay right there in your hands. Sublime!!!!!!
George, permanent jewellery are typically bracelets, anklets, or necklaces that have no clasps. The store 'installs' them on the buyer and the wearer can't remove them without cutting or breaking them. Somehow they are popular.
Mine would be 3 weeks of $0 spent and then the 4th week is 1000 for rent 1000 debt repayment and 700 for all my autopaid bills and 500 for groceries ,been doing it for 7 months now
The 2nd girl is Canadian I follow her. As a Canadian myself... keep in mind the prices are going to seem inflated on hers to you because of the like 40% difference between the USD and CAD. Our food costs all 4 limbs up here lol. And restaurants, don't even get me started. I literally treated my brother for breakfast for his birthday last week at Stacked and spent $65 just on breakfast lol. Trust me George, $95 is EASY to spend on a patio hang in Canada. Our food prices are no joke.
Having spent a lot of time in Walmart in the US.. I much prefer shopping in Canada. Everyone seems to think things are cheaper when that's just not the case..
The 2nd person in this video is a famous influencer, she makes plenty of money. She bought a house, renovated it, investing in creating her brands. So in her situation, that’s not terrible spending.
'influencer' . Oh those that can't make money working a regular job, or are too lazy (definitely no college) , so tried out youtube and got lucky (looks & narcissistic confidence boost).
I'm convinced if you just plan an "errand day" per week you will spend less. Less gas, less temptation, less purchases....like no stopping for lunch, etc. I just leave the house less and bring lunch to work. It's not so complicated if you think about it
To my understanding this just proves how much we need an edge as investors because playing the market like everyone else just isn’t good enough. I've been quite unsure about investing in this current market and at the same time I feel it's the best time to get started on the market, what are your thoughts?
Since the crash, I've been in the red. I’m playing the long term game, so I'm not too worried but Jim Cramer mentioned there are still a lot of great opportunities, though stocks has been down a lot. I also heard news of a guy that made $250k from about $110k since the crash and I would really look to know how to go about this.
I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.
How can I participate in this? I sincerely aspire to establish a secure financlal future and am eager to participate. Who is the driving force behind your success?
I just googled her and I'm really impressed with her credentials; I reached out to her since I need all the assistance I can get. I just scheduled a caII.
I recognised the second girl named Spencer Barbosa and she is a very successful influencer who has bought her own house etc, so I would imagine she can probably afford to spend that money and get the check for her family etc. But I understand the concept, that the average person her age certainly couldn’t afford to spend like that! And if she spent differently she would be able to save a lot 😅
When co-workers are teasing you about how "cheap" you are, or that you don't like spending money, you know you're right where you should be. Because it's not "normal," it's not THEIR normal. Which makes you, much better off than normal.
What is funny is my coworkers are looking at me sideways and they are also doing the Ramsey plan. I'm like doing full beans and rice diet. They all seem to have their eating out days. I'm like $3 dollars for lunch sounds pretty expensive.
@@randomandy2023I'm guilty of going out to lunch when I was eliminating debt too - but that was for the mental boost. But I wasn't doing it all the time. Like, I've had people look at me with surprise when they find out I cook regularly. I said, "yeah, every day." They're shocked. Especially single people like me.
For years my husband drove my crappy needs a paint job 5 speed Toyota. All the guys at work drive giant dually trucks. He heard from one of the guys who was friends with the owner of the company that the owner said "that guy is SMART." My husband is a mechanical engineer with a masters degree. When he told me that I said "it's not your work smarts. It's because you drive a crappy car and your wife homeschools your kids."
I make six figures and drive an 8yo paid for SUV, I’ve had comments from coworkers that I should be driving a nicer car. So I laughed and laughed all the way to the bank!
Yes, she was clearly from Ontario. If she is living anywhere near Toronto, that amount of spending doesn't surprise me. Toronto is like Canadian LA in terms of how ridiculously expensive everything is.
You don't walk your own dog?!?! What is doggy day care? People seriously take their dogs to daycare! You guys also eat out a TON! I am impressed at your honesty George.
Right. I’m kinda laughing at the “stop buying Starbucks” like that’s the most cliché line that “ millionaires” give as “ advice” but then he spends a ton on eating out and doggie day care instead of caring for his pets himself and eating at home. Just seems so hypocritical.😂
He has a lot of nerve judging other peoples habit when he has bad spending habits himself. Too lazy to walk or watch your own dogs. Why even have them?
@@williamclark1244 I think people that use doggy daycare and dog walkers is because both people are working so the dog would otherwise be stuck in the house all day…I don’t think he pays for that because he’s lazy, more of a necessity for the dog.
@@The_1995_there’s nothing hypocritical about this. You have to cut back on costs until you get out of debt and increase your income. Once you’re debt free, have a fully funded emergency fund and make decent money, then you can eat out and spend more. While you’re drowning in debt and you’re still paying rent, you shouldn’t be splurging. It’s not that complicated. You know what they keep saying: live like no one else so later you can live like no one else.
I’m very frugal to a fault and sometimes feel bad when I spend on myself. I save ferociously and want to now focus on paying off my home. It will be a long, but exciting journey. These videos get me pumped to do better!
I would love to see Dave's response to someone calling in and telling him that they spend as much on pets as George does. $50 in one day on a regular basis for dog care and walking? I guess maybe I'm just too poor to understand....
George is debt free and his NW is over a mil. The percentage of his worth far exceeds pampered pets. Big difference than if one owed 200K in loans and CC and was blowing 50 bucks a week on dogs. Its kind of the burn pile theory. If you can go buy a classic car/boat/rv/ect , you can get it if you could pile that in cash in your driveway and burn it and your life wouldnt be affected.
If they can afford to why not. Dogs are much happier and healthier if not left alone all day. Of course most of us don’t have a choice but he does so..
My wife and I are on baby steps 4, 5 & 6, and spend just under $750 per week, total household budget (includes mortgage, electricity, phone, internet, etc) and all other expenses for a family of 3. Smartest thing spent on this week... Pizza, pack of chicken wings from Aldi, cooked at home for Pizza/ movie night with wife & daughter... with fixings, $23. Dumbest thing I spent on this week... late night dinner at Wendy's, $9.50 when I could have just gone without food during game night with friends.
Guess that would depend on which week of the month! First week I spend on utilities & most groceries - house is paid off (I noticed no one added their rent/mortgage pmt in their payments - except you George cuz I know your home is paid for) so it would be very high; then, because I'm old and 'have just about everything I need' - just fresh veggies and fuel .... and hay - yeah I have tiny dogs - but I have a horse too - usually in the 3rd week .... coffee? I have espresso machine; eat out? no thank you - don't know if they are clean - and I'm a good cook now (hey, took 30 years but here I am) ... I even detail my own car and do general maintenance myself. If you plan it right, you don't have to spend much...
This would have impressed me more if the totals for a MONTH were shown rather than for a week. Some weeks, you may not get gasoline, or pay rent/mortgage, or out to eat, for example. Utility bills and phone bills and many others are for the month. How about charitable contributions or savings, investing through paycheck, etc.?? Accuracy climbs with a monthly budget.
Have to include as an AVERAGE week, with Rent/Mortgage, Insurance monthly cost broken down to weekly totals. Or the 4th week of the month would be huge! Let's see THAT week! Trend that!!!😂😂😂
I would say the dumbest thing I was spending my money on was an oil change for my truck. Folks charge $90+ for it but I started doing it myself and only spend approximately $30 on materials.
And you will do a better job. I worked at Jiffy Lube in college... not great. They will not let the oil drain all the way prior to reinstalling the drain plug (about a 1/2 quart left).
I change everything but the wifes Rav4. Her dealership isnt out of line and it is a PITA. It takes time, but I like to roll under and have a look around anyway. That I I know what gets greased and it gets grease.
I have synthetic oil so it only needs to be changed every 5 months or every 5,000 mi. I only spend about $70 to get it done at my car dealership. I'd rather sit in their waiting room sipping on coffee then be on the ground dirty. Saving an extra $30 every 5 months just doesn't seem worth it to me.
I used to do all my oil changes at home for like 25 years. But then we decided to buy a new house, and HOAs have a strangle hold on home builders, so we are stuck in an HOA which means I can't work on my cars anymore. It is frustrating how the lube places over charge, charge you extra because your car took more than the 4 quarts they provide, then overfill your engine by a quart. Jiffy lube lost two oil caps in like 11 oil changes. So I switch to Midas, and after four oil changes, they lost a cap.
@@javaman2883 I have an HOA as well but idgaf, I make sure to be clean, I also do it later in the afternoon when they aren't driving around. I also tend to not care if I get a nastygram about things lol
Seriously, guys, Mint Mobile is the way to go. I have a plan for $240 a year, so I just put 20 bucks into my sinking fund every month and then pay it all off in one go when that bill comes around. Huge peace of mind!
I loved Mint! Switching from Verizon saved me a TON. Also the app is super clean and user friendly. My only issue was that the towers Mint uses leave me with spotty service in my area of Nebraska so I’m actually planning on switching to Visible which uses the same towers as Verizon. (And it’s only $25/month👀)
I'm in my late 30s in the USA and I spend an average of $2400 a week if I divide my monthly budget into 4 weeks. That includes my mortgage, utilities, stupid amount of groceries because that is my splurge, school tuition for my daughter, household stuff, etc. Also that includes savings 40% of our income. If you take savings out of the equation it's roughly $1440 a week. Zero issues paying my bills, networth around 320k, and I'm good with it. Honestly I could cut it down even more if I wanted to but I spend $1000 a month on food for my family of three. My 30 year mortgage will be paid off in only 6 years (already paid off 34% since Sept 2020). Life is good.
You asked for it George. I looked it up and last week I spent $11,000 as an impulse buy to buy some animal structures for some of our fields. I haven’t even put them up yet, nor bought the wood. That was just the steel. You said it though, it’s all relative. I looked at my income and I made $268,000 this month too, so it’s relative. I’m 45, debt free and a millionaire with 4 of my 5 kids still living at home. Thank you for the guidance and smart money advice!
@@GeorgeKamel you and Dave are major contributors to that. Seriously. I owe Dave and Ramsey Solutions more than I can express. You’ve changed my entire family tree. Thank you 🙏
@@annstaup4542 I always hesitate to say what I do, because my success is uncommon, but I am a Financial Advisor. After being an Advisor from 2001-2008, I became Dave’s ELP for finance in my area. Soon after that my business exploded. I tried to keep up with the growth, but I was drowning. At 1 point, I was working all day, coming home to eat dinner, then going back to work to do paperwork from 9pm-2am. I’d then get up around 7am and start the process all over again the next day. I only took Sundays off. It was SO hard, but I was addicted to the chase. I would bring in anywhere from $30M- $40M a year in new client dollars, so I was increasing my income by about $300k- $400k per year- year after year after year after year. It was exciting, but my health was strained, my relationships were strained- or non-existent, and I was exhausted. I didn’t do any hobbies and I didn’t really spend time with any friends. Dave helped me build an incredible business earning a few million a year, but it was consuming me. He then, through entire leadership, helped me understand how to manage it all. I was doing estate planning and trusts, taxes, investment planning, insurance, etc. I knew that I knew my craft exceptionally well, and I had people lining up who wanted to work with me and who wanted to be my client, and Dave Ramsey was sending me sometimes 3-6 referrals a day! It was crazy! I eventually hired an Operations Manager, then an Executive Assistant to answer my phone, emails, and texts, then an account manager to open all the new accounts and manage them…. I opened a couple offices in California, but then spread into Idaho, then Wyoming, then Oklahoma. I had a number of Advisors join me and I started shifting my focus to that of a trainer. Even today I had a webinar with Advisors from around the nation, teaching them about a new investment product which sounds good, but can be dangerous. I started teaching Dave’s principles to all my Junior Advisors. Its scary, but I know Dave’s advise almost perfectly before he gives it every time- except for last week when he told a woman to look into Unified Estate Tax Credits. That’s an area I wouldn’t have followed. I know perfectly after 15 years as his representative almost everything he’s going to say. I hired more staff and moved into larger and larger offices. Now, after 23 years as a Financial Advisor, I feel like I can take a break. I make 6 figures a month, and this week I only worked 2 days. Today I had a High School kid with me because I am his mentor. I sit on several local boards, and I donate a lot of money and time to my community. I’m meeting with a contractor tomorrow to discuss the build out of an ADU on our property because I feel like God has blessed us with the ability, and hence the responsibility, to care for our family. My parents are getting older, as are my wife’s, and I want to be prepared to care for them. When I say it’s uncommon, I mean that most Financial Advisors don’t earn what I earn, and I have Dave to thank for that. I still manage 4 territories for Dave, and I give those leads to my junior Advisors, who also run FPU and follow Dave’s principles in practice and word.
This is what I spent this past week (Note: Not a typical week!): Mon-$0, Tues-$39.50 my driver's license renewal fee, Wed-$0, Thurs-$20 cash for niece's birthday, $11.26 Wegman's (groceries), $15.00 Wegman's prescription for husband, $34.53 Beer & Pop Discount Warehouse (time for a beer run for hubs!) , Fri-$5.30 McDonald's breakfast for 2, $30.81 Twisted Elk Brewery (hubs going out with the guys due to friend being in town), Sat- $37.49 Wegman's groceries, $9.52 Rite Aid (LED tea lights for pumpkins, on clearance, had coupon), $22.42 Wal-Mart groceries, Sun- $316.66 my Roth, $316.66 hubs Roth, $500.00 brokerage account sinking fund, $52.95 Michael's Halloween clearance items (items can be used for several years) OMG....I failed to mention that I turned down the purchase of a warranty on the 10 dollar string of Halloween lights....I think I will live on the edge and risk it!! Lol!
5:42 a few comments this is in Canada, our dollar store is now on average $5 per item. Some items are cheaper, but every time I go they seem to be more expensive. And don't forget the tax, so she could have probably bought 16 items. Farm Boy is a grocery store. I totally understand the Canadian Tire one! I go in to get my car serviced, I wonder the store and find stuff on sale, they have kitchen stuff, cleaning stuff, yard and garden stuff, sports equipment, diy stuff, and I leave with a $150 car service bill and $100 in gardening or cleaning products. Finally $1600 CAD = $1200 USD approximately.
Going with the Graham Stephan 'Millionare Reacts to...' title. Flex it, you earned that title 💪 Speaking of Graham, he'd lose his mind over what that first person is spending on coffee.
These are genuine questions because I’ve never had a dog: Why dogs needs to be sitter? Why the owner can’t walk the dog in the morning or when is back from home?
Thanks George for your content. I was wondering where is the debts section, yet I realized you have none. I hope one day to live the same moment like you and other Ramsey’s team. I’m at the second step of the millionaire baby steps, and have around 70k in consumer debts. I hope to pay them all by Aug 2024.
If you called into the Ramsay show Dave would have a field day about your pet expenses and the number of delivery service fees you are paying between Instacart and pizza delivery. I suppose when you have done as well as you have you deserve some splurges.
Farmboy is an upscale grocery store in Canada. Things in the Dollar store can be more expensive than a dollar, usually $2 to $5 for some things. Taziki's - food for the week? You can make a big pot of chili or baked beans in a slow cooker and that can last for 2 people half a week - cost? $10 to $15 bucks to make that pot of food. Fast food will hit your wallet badly for those that are budgeting with tight funds. Cook everything at home, brew your own coffee and bring food and coffee from home to work. For those that say "I have no time" that's a cop out. Make the time. It will be better for your health and your wallet.
The second girl even said in the beginning "Moving out is costing me an arm and a leg..." so OBVIOUSLY this isn't a typical week for her. I would have done that on a week were I don't have any crazy expenses.
My week started off with $57 for doggy daycare and $74 for an eye exam for me, $29 for lunch at BJ’s restaurant and $40 at the grocery store on incidentals. Little Shih Tzu was sick when we picked her up from daycare and the following day we spent $450 at the vet., only to find out she probably pulled a muscle. We were too concerned about her to eat out, so we ate at home the rest of the week. I had time to look at the Chico ad and bought pants and a top for $96. I splurged on a song through Apple, and paid $1.40. on Saturday, I completed my tax return, and to reward myself we went out for a Mexican dinner and I had a margarita, hubby ordered iced tea, $58. Oh, and then my subscription to bark box was $22 for toys and treats for my little Shih Tzu.
Weeks vary so much. What would really be an acurate picture, would be if people shared how much they spend in a month. But I understand social media influences aren't really all that interested in helping people, just want to get view (with few exceptions).
I really liked this video! I hope you guys are feeling much improved. And I didnt realize you are now 2.5 people (not including the fur babies) - congratulations 🎉!!
George - I've got a family of 7 (me + wife, 5 kiddos between the ages of 6months and 13yrs) and i'm struggling to sort out a reasonable grocery / dining out budget if we don't want to feed our kids processed junk. Any resources or recommendations?
Monday: 0$ Tuesday: 0$ Wednesday: 0$ Thursday: 0$ Friday: 0$ Weekend:0$ Im a 15 year old girl, never had a job, 1500$ in spending account, 500$ in savings, I know it’s not much, but I’m pretty proud of how I haven’t followed my friends footsteps of shopping addiction… 😅 also my mom is kind of a sucker for shopping… so ya 😅
Fantastic! Question -- don't you have gas, utilities, car insurance, groceries health insurance costs? That is what is kicking us ... our health insurance premium has been almost $1800 a month after taxes for a year!! Fortunately, this is changing on Monday. We never eat out or do anything frivolous. I am so looking forward to making headway soon.
I spend $93/week on utilities alone, no food included. You must live in a tent, trap for food, don't drive at all, and bathe in streams. My target is $200/week and I'm frugal but don't make my target some weeks.
George’s budget actually is very reasonable if you add it up. If you assume his spending is an average week, he spends $50k per year. That’s not including housing: he has a paid off house, so throw $1000 a month on there for taxes, insurance, etc. That means George’s household spends around $65k per year total and he saves the rest. I’m sure he makes 6 figures so his savings rate is a minimum of 30% after all expenses. That’s quite good
Take-away for me: doggy daycare and walking fees. As my side hustle, I’ve been charging too little. 😂 I just did a two-day and overnight, plus delivered Fido back home with all gear. $40 on the table. 😱
Wow. The fast and prepared food is silly. Cut it in half. But don’t stop there. Capture that money by raising your 401K contributions. That mechanism will stop stupid spending and buttress your long term savings. C’mon. Bring your lunch and morning breakfast, include fruit and vegetables with protein for snacks, then convert to average spending cut into a regular (if modest) 401k increase. Too easy!
$35/day for doggie daycare!!! That's so cheap! Here in Silicon Valley doggie daycare is about $30/hr/dog and I have 2 dogs 😢 so I don't bother with day care. It would be a huge game changer for both me and my dogs if daycare was affordable around here
Pretty cool the internet. You live in one of the most expensive places in US to live… I live in one of the cheapest/top 10 worst places to live. Kankakee, Illinois. We live completely different lives if you’re looking for doggy day care lol
By absolute "must be God watching me and guiding me" I managed to lock £3050 in a 5% pot for 6 months to make £74 interest on it. I locked it there because I'd have fixed my car (£1000), had to pay insurance (£1500) and would of not tackled my £8000 debts. At. All. I scrapped the car (+£400). 6 months later when my zero interest free periods are ending I'm in such a clearer space thanks to your videos. Again, it must be Gods guidance. I'm currently owing £229 in November, £240 and £124 in December, £251 in January, all interest free. In January I'll be debt free and able to breathe. Im already feeling much calmer and relaxed. The cards are chopped up and I'm logged out of the apps, no idea what the passwords are as I deleted them from autofill etc. I'll be investing and living off the cheapest cuts of meat but thats all I need to stay sane in this world. Thank you George ❤
There is more downside coming because current economic conditions can not and will not sustain any meaningful long term bull run for the near future. It's not me being bearish for the sake of being bearish. It's looking at the overall picture and there's really nothing overly
Hey george love the video concept, but you need to account for differences in cost of living of countries. The second girl is from toronto paying in CAD and everything is expensive there. I agree some of these examples show ergregious spending but you arent showing an apples to apples comparison
I spent $1271 this week. Rent $1175, groceries $82 (for 2 weeks), household goods $12, Google data storage $2. I bring home $6600/mo. and spend $1600/mo. on everything. I'm debt-free so I put $5000 into a high yield savings account earning 5.25% every month.
This is a great example of the importance of context. In the second video you watch, Spencer spends ~$100 for the week at the dollar store. The dollar store sells lots of great home items which are so useful to someone who’s just starting out on their own (she comments that “moving out is costing her an arm and a leg”). Although it’s called a dollar store, the cost regularly ranges from $1.00 -$5.00 per item in Canada, where this individual is from. While $100 at the dollar store may seem excessive at first blush, she likely did not purchase 100 items that were a dollar each, and she may have been buying starter items for her home that she could have bought at a much higher price at other stores.
Another good video George. Yeah staying home saves you money. I find things to do at home and it keeps my costs down. As soon as I go out I am spending. I can't say I ever spent remotely close to $80 at the dollar store I don't think and it would only be on the rare occasion. I think I put some camping stuff, bunch of reusable plastic plates and bowels, maybe some garden stuff, but even then probably $30-$40 tops. Yup live within your means, stick to a budget, don't willy nilly go buy stuff. Only buy what you need, it's a mindset change.
I switched to Mint. Here's a tip: get unlimited and sign up for longest contract you can tolerate. Also pay upfront. That's how you get the best rate with mint. If you go over, you'll regret it having to buy more data
The second girl you featured is Canadian. Farm Boy is an Ontario grocery store similiar to Whole Foods. Our cell phone plans are ridiculously more expensive than those offered in the US just to offer some perspective.
@@dawnt5587drop them it’s easy because it’s month to month that’s what I did. They could also be lying like in my case. Statefarm was like yeah we don’t do that when I asked them but then I ask my friend who also has statefarm and they could so bye bye statefarm. Literally got more coverage for less due to the discount
It boggles my mind that people do little grocery runs like that. Just knock it all out in one go! 140 dollars every 2ish weeks (probably more like 10 days). Rent, internet, groceries, and phone make up basically all my monthly expenses ($1250ish). I don't eat out at all while I'm home and working. I'll probably eat out a lot when I'm traveling. I save basically all my money besides those 4 things for quitting my job and traveling for 2 months out of the year. Life is hard during the work season, but the travel season makes it so worth it.
I spent 0 this week😂 With the exception of not budgeting my 1-2 trips a month to the grocery store my bills are the same every month and i do not shop ever.. I am not well off but after these video clips, i feel better about myself😅😂 U save so much by never going out to eat, and always bringing a grocery list when going to the grocery store. Otherwise just never shop unless planed beforehand so you budget for it. Then just have no subscription and remove all extra costs that isnt shelter, food or phone bill. I have very little income, barely any debt left, but i always manage to put some money away thanks to this “no spending attitude” 🙏
Spencer is a UA-camr and TikTok personality she has the money. she also started off that video saying “moving out is costing me an arm and a leg” so that was probably when she was buying stuff for her new house hints the Walmart and dollar store purchases cleaning supplies, furniture, curtains, groceries, dining sets, cookware and so on. She also had expenses in there like car insurance, phone bill, and tires. Pretty reasonable and responsible if you ask me. And she’s only like 19. Also if you have a dog doggie daycare can be seen as a frivolous and unnecessary expense. You can take the dog out yourself. $160 on a tapestry? You’re sending more than she is on nonsense but everyone’s needs and expenses are different and situations are different. I literally spend all day in the house spending $0 until the weekend and then I buy gas and groceries and that’s pretty much it. Tired of these “millionaires” and their advice being “don’t buy Starbucks” no amount of budgeting and no coffee is gonna fix the economy and the fact that $7.25 is still the minimum wage. If someone’s only little treat to themselves if getting that Starbucks and thats the only little extra thing they can buy for themselves than so be it let them enjoy that Starbucks.
Girl #2. Notice she spent money at Canadian Tire. That gal is in Canada (Canadian Tire is like a Wal-Mart concept). Absolutely, Canadian Dollar Stores are NOT $1 for anything in it - $80 for nothing is a thing in Canada. That girl seems to still spend too much (that’s my monthly spending aside from rent for a family of 5 in Canada!!), but spending money in Canada with nothing to show for it is a thing. Thank Justin Trudeau, he truly makes things more expensive with layers upon layers of taxes.

9/26-10/2: $750 tithe + $180 electric + $20 gasoline + $200 grocs/household + $23 Arby's + $10 McD's + $3 iPhone Storage + $1 iTunes + $6250 mortgage overpayment = ~$7450. Well above average month for paying down house. Planning to spend (blow) some money this month on anniversary celebration.
My Doggie Daycare at Dogtopia is only $99 per week for unlimited visits...The off-the-rack price was $135 per week, but I asked for a deal, and they gave it to me. Maybe because they throw my Golden Retriever in with the rowdy dogs to try to calm them down.
It's funny to see how much younger people are spending these days, lol. We spend between $800-$1500/month and that's for groceries, gasoline, utilities, auto/home/umbrella insurances and what little spending we have. This month it'll be on the higher end as we had to pay for truck insurance, a few items at Home Depot and after 8 years it's time to replace my wardrobe again so I bought several pairs of shorts. I hate clothes shopping so I only buy clothes all at once when they're on sale to get it over with and then go years without buying anything else.
the second girl in the video is an influencer who makes bank. she's definitely not broke, and can absolutely afford to pick up the check for her family!
Was going to say that, definitely doesn’t seem irresponsible for her to pick up the check given the circumstances
Yes and also Canadian. Those are Canadian dollars. The total would be less in USD. It's also impossible to find a good cheap phone plan here.

Right. Shame on her for being greedy with her family. Not raised right

Spencer earns a very high amount. Proportionately she is probably just fine and still saving. George’s spend was more than I would have guessed!
Not if she blowing money that way
The second girl has a huge following (9 million on tiktok) and social blade says her monthly earnings on youtube is $11k-181k. I think she can get the check at the restaurant lol
And good luck to her on how long that gravy train lasts. That's called being a NON-contributing member of society. Or a "worthless eater," to the elites' way of thinking. Good luck surviving in the coming cataclysmic reset.
Also it’s Canada and everything is crazy expensive haha
Oh so she probably makes as much as a Ramsey personality? Oh, I forgot Dave gets the real money and just pays George a fraction.
If she makes 181k / month, she ain't steppin foot in the Dollar Store.

We are about to drop $3800 this week to pay off 2 more debts. We are down to the last few debts and then on to baby step 3. The amount of stress that had been lifted since we stated budgeting in May is incredible. I can't wait to feel the relief of no debt.
That’s awesome!!
It's amazing, it will be worth all the sacrifice!
At the end, when all the thousands of dollars that were coming into your hands and out again to pay bills, suddenly has no where to go and gets to stay right there in your hands. Sublime!!!!!!
Congrats!!
No debt is great when you watch all your money coming in start to stack up. It is a truly freeing experience. Congrats on getting there.
George, permanent jewellery are typically bracelets, anklets, or necklaces that have no clasps. The store 'installs' them on the buyer and the wearer can't remove them without cutting or breaking them. Somehow they are popular.

This is like watching episodes of hoarders. You realize you're maybe not so bad.
That’s what I was thinking! This episode made me feel better about me weekly spending lol

Yeah, until you realize you have the same amount of shit as the hoarders and it's just spread out more because you have a spare bedroom.

I'm convinced if you just plan an "errand day" per week you will spend less. Less gas, less temptation, less purchases....like no stopping for lunch, etc. I just leave the house less and bring lunch to work. It's not so complicated if you think about it
My husband I do this and it works.
I do this! I plan one day a week for errands, with rare exception. It is helping a lot for sure!
Yeah I’ve noticed this too! We save a LOT by grocery shopping only once per week instead of going out whenever we need something
Don't be hesitant to contact Sonya Lee Mitchell and follow her directions.
Yep, and in 30 years they will call you "lucky" when you retire early.
Yes, she was clearly from Ontario. If she is living anywhere near Toronto, that amount of spending doesn't surprise me. Toronto is like Canadian LA in terms of how ridiculously expensive everything is.
Yes I agree. I’m from Toronto and ridiculously expensive.
It was surprising to say the least.
He kinda explains it in the video, I think. It's a lot easier to spend on those kinds of things when you're debt free and doing well.
Love your videos. They're fun & educational!!! About to spend $497 tomorrow to pay off another bill!

Accuracy climbs with a monthly budget.
but THATS NOT the trend bruhhh the trend is WEEKLY spend!!!

My service charges $37 for a 1/2 hour walk visit
Too easy!
I thoroughly enjoy your program, very useful and keeps me entertained.
$35/day for doggie daycare!!! That's so cheap! Here in Silicon Valley doggie daycare is about $30/hr/dog and I have 2 dogs 😢 so I don't bother with day care. It would be a huge game changer for both me and my dogs if daycare was affordable around here

Mrs Evelyn Vera service is really good, I invested $20,000 and made a profit of $91,000 after a week. I still wonder how she gets her analysis
I met Mrs Evelyn Vera last year for the first time at a conference in BELGIUM. I invested $35,000 and traded in one month, making close to $198,500.
Hey george love the video concept, but you need to account for differences in cost of living of countries. The second girl is from toronto paying in CAD and everything is expensive there. I agree some of these examples show ergregious spending but you arent showing an apples to apples comparison
question... what happened🧐 to the 'meal plan' food from Tzazikis since you ate out the rest of the week anyway?😝
Love your channel George 👏 great content and so happy your channel is growing
I spent $1271 this week. Rent $1175, groceries $82 (for 2 weeks), household goods $12, Google data storage $2. I bring home $6600/mo. and spend $1600/mo. on everything. I'm debt-free so I put $5000 into a high yield savings account earning 5.25% every month.
"What is Farm Boy?" 🤣 Welcome to Canada. 👌
In Canada our "Dollar store"--Dollarama goes up to $5 now
This is a great example of the importance of context.
The average price for anything at Dollarama now is $2.00-$3.00.
Canada pays tax on everything bought.

George u are a spending machine and should immediately go on a budget
Another good video George. Yeah staying home saves you money. I find things to do at home and it keeps my costs down. As soon as I go out I am spending. I can't say I ever spent remotely close to $80 at the dollar store I don't think and it would only be on the rare occasion. I think I put some camping stuff, bunch of reusable plastic plates and bowels, maybe some garden stuff, but even then probably $30-$40 tops. Yup live within your means, stick to a budget, don't willy nilly go buy stuff. Only buy what you need, it's a mindset change.
Great content! And the editing is top tierrrrrr
I switched to Mint. Here's a tip: get unlimited and sign up for longest contract you can tolerate. Also pay upfront. That's how you get the best rate with mint. If you go over, you'll regret it having to buy more data
This is hilarious! Your shows are awesome! 👏
George, O George $80 can't get you 80 items at the dollar store no more that may be 60 items at best cause it's a $1.25 per item😅
My worst habit is takeaway at around £35 each and often 3 times a week. £420+ in a month and honestly not often appreciated.
The second girl you featured is Canadian. Farm Boy is an Ontario grocery store similiar to Whole Foods. Our cell phone plans are ridiculously more expensive than those offered in the US just to offer some perspective.
I don't understand why people still pay insurance monthly.
Always wonder about that ...one payment, get the discount get it over with
My company doesn't offer a discount for paying 6mo at once.
Unfortunately, many people are living paycheck to paycheck or just don't have the money to pay for 6 months or a year upfront.
We pay our insurance monthly. There are no discounts for paying it yearly or every 6 months.
From Sunday to Friday, this week, I spent 12,85€. But Saturday is grocery shopping, it will be around 100,€.
I have never spent a single dollar in my life. We don’t use that in Sweden.
(Hope you see I’m just trying to be funny)
Gotta share this with my son. Funny and informative! 👍🏼
01:20 had me spit out my dinner.. did not see it coming 🤣
Everything at dollar tree is 1.25 plus tax which makes it 1.34
So glad I don't have a coffee addiction! If I want a latte I make it at home.
I spent 0 this week😂
With the exception of not budgeting my 1-2 trips a month to the grocery store my bills are the same every month and i do not shop ever..
I am not well off but after these video clips, i feel better about myself😅😂
U save so much by never going out to eat, and always bringing a grocery list when going to the grocery store. Otherwise just never shop unless planed beforehand so you budget for it. Then just have no subscription and remove all extra costs that isnt shelter, food or phone bill.
I have very little income, barely any debt left, but i always manage to put some money away thanks to this “no spending attitude” 🙏
Holy cow I got you all beat...last week...Monday thru Sunday.....29.11 groceries..46 gas....18 for my business...total $93.11 for the week!
Congratulations, how wonderful! 🎉
First like and comment! Good work team!
My Doggie Daycare at Dogtopia is only $99 per week for unlimited visits...The off-the-rack price was $135 per week, but I asked for a deal, and they gave it to me. Maybe because they throw my Golden Retriever in with the rowdy dogs to try to calm them down.
This definitely makes me feel better about my spending habits.....lol.
Why other dinners after spending $80 for the week at Taziki??
Spent $622 on car payment today which includes the min. payment and an extra $200 because I love attacking consumer debt.
👏🏼 Have a great weekend!! ☕️
