@Jimsalos yeah it's a fun little spot. We got a little too aggressive though. This wasn't the only machine to go down. Stay tuned for another video soon.
@EkonRekon I honestly couldn't tell you if the thermostat is still in it or not. It does have the hot light but also don't know if that ever worked on it. I don't recall the light coming on at all but I couldn't say for sure.
@@CKPowersports I pulled out the thermostat on mine, then I rolled the over flow hose around a couple times to let the coolant expand without getting lost. There is a black and green/blue wire that go to the light (green/blue from the thermostat housing) that has a small box thing called the " Br -tube" in line with bullet disconnects that needs to be there (close to the main harness by the triple clamps) and a good bulb. After the green/blue wire goes to the box it changes to brown going to the bulb
What a great place to ride! Looks like so much fun, until the “oh oh” moment

Of course the honda is fine!
@@vortex812 naturally. You can't kill those ones
I bought that black grizzly 700 from you and was wondering where these trails are they look very fun!
@@coltenhansen this is a private campground area near plattsmouth.
That sound it made when it broke was pretty heartbreaking.
@@marykruse6559 I seem to have a knack for breaking things
You said it, not me. 😂
Klotz techniplate for sand ,,it loads the engine heavy then spins ,,sand is rough on em
@Levisnteeshirt1 the sand is definitely hard on them for sure
Do you run the thermostat installed? and do you have the overheat warning light hooked up?

@@EkonRekon good to know. I'll definitely look into that when I tear into it for the rebuild. Thanks for the info.
@@CKPowersports just updated the last comment so all the wire colors are correct
Stock pipe makes a Honda run hot and detonate ,,i heard it in the video
@Levisnteeshirt1 The tri z died. The honda still runs fine. It was running rich and fouled a plug once but that was it.
What mix was it running?
@@vortex812 32 to 1. I think the cause was too much 1st gear and full throttle in that sand.
@@CKPowersports and it's not a honda ;)
@@CKPowersports yeah no paddles, lots of rpm and no air over those radiators
@vortex812 definitely. I haven't pulled it apart yet but hopefully it's just the piston on it.
@CKPowersports by the sound of it, dead piston. Hopefully oem cast piston so the cylinder will just need a hone and not bore. Either way, easy fix!
Sell the triz ? Takes the money to make the honda better. Ide be interested in the tri z it needs rebuilt anyway
@davesplace1307 but where would I find another tri z then? This one is too clean to get rid of. It's honestly the cleanest machine in my collection.
