I killed Kahga during one playthrough thinking it'd be isolated - turned out Zeth ran out and told the grove and they had a battle while I was in the chamber just rummaging through things. The whole camp was dead when I came out. Oops. lol
I mean you don't even need to do any of that. Simply follow the quest line and rescue Halsin, the Refugee's leave the Grove and you're free to steal the idol without consequence. Unless you just want to take the evil route.
@@FulCastor If you already told Mol you'd steal the idol and you finish Kagha's quest (shadow druids), they stop the ritual and you can steal the idol without much risk ("free"). It's similar to finish the main quest but Mol will accept it and reward you the ring.
If you give derrythe the mushroom, she will sell more of them in act 3. If you leave the ailvanus thingy, and dont buy it back afterwards from mol, does something happen then, when you meet her, in baldurs gate?
aaannd bro i will now teach you how to steal the idol of Sylvanus without being evil, first you need to do is oust kauga as being a shadow druid if done right she will go hostile and the druids in the ruin will help you kill her and the shadow druids she smuggled in the ruin by doing a specific side quest line then make sure she dies because she will be killable without causing the druids to kill the teaflings. after that you hide outside the druids cove and you use mage hand and throw the idol then if the magehand is destroyed rest then long rest then repeat, once you get it far enough away from the druids cove you can simply pick it up and the druids would be none the wiser and boom you stole it and you didn't have to cause absolute chaos and steal it on a good playthrough. your welcome.
OR you just cast fog cloud on the idol, steal it with a stealthy character and immediately travel to your camp. I also used my bard to distract everyone while i stole the idol with Astarion. Its SUPER EASY and it doens't make you evil. Then you can go give the idol to Mol and get the ring of protection.
so much cheese...It is by intention you do not get to steal the idol on a good playthrough without a fight. This became clear by the last patch. Either you steal it and fight the druids, or you have to cheese it into your inventory
@@fanathym using fog cloud to steal things is a common tactic though, and it’s not “cheesing it”, it’s just using an available spell to do exactly what the spell is meant to do - obscure those within it.
I did pretty much the same thing in my Durge playthrough. Only difference is that I stayed inside the grove watching everyone kill each other (quite evil if you ask me). Then Minthara arrived and told me the last part in the vid (that I didn't wait for her)
i feel like if the grove dose the magic thing, it messes up the quest with mithara, like i skipped directly to the cresh, then traveled back just to see what happens, even mentioning the durids magic, sealing the grove, she said that i abanded my duty's or something, was really confusing, and she attacks me, but i found out 18 hours later if you non-leathal her at this part she dose not pop up at moonrise for me... a huge disappoint for me at this point.
I think in order to recruit minthara. You have to do massacre or knock her out without talking to her/or stealing to get temporary hostile status. Otherwise, the game treats you as enemy to her. And she's completely dead
You can talk to her if you want tbh. best way imo is to smash the floating eyeball orb in front of her, that will give you the temp hostile state & you can safely knock her out where you'll find her in moonrise. to be sure, if she doesn't get back up after a long rest you did something wrong.
Before knocking her out she has to be temporary hostile (steal something in front of her, while she talks to the goblin), and also available as an ally. So if you have killed all the goblins and Dror Ragzlin in the other room next to her, before knocking her out. She will consider you an enemy, and therefore not be available as an ally.
I never did bother to help Minthara in the first place, because Karlach leaves if do and Wyll dies defenmding Grove. Thats 2 of my fave characters, and then Halsin is also out.
It doesn't work for me. killed kagah, stole the idol, spoke to minthara and when I long rest it just goes into the start of the raid and I cant long rest to where it's already past???
Durge playthrough, just last night. Kill head Teethling. Go kill Karen. Come out steal idol... teethlimgs won?!?!? Da Fuck?! Sadly though didn't get Auntie as a vender. My guess is I pulled the trigger to quick and didn't vender her enough in the Grove.
you dont need to kill the teaflings and druids to get it. just oust Kauga as a shadow druid there's a questline you can do but you're shut out of it if you destroy the goblin leaders if done right Kauga will go hostile but the druids will side against her for being a shadow druid. then just hide far enough away and use mage hand to throw it and long rest because the druids will kill your mage hand but then repeat until the idol is far enough away they won't be hostile if its thrown and then pick it up
But what’s the point of doing this? Zevlor does say they can’t leave the grove until the leaders of the goblin camp are eliminated. Minthara says “there were few left alive”The Tieflings get slaughtered by the goblins even when you’re not there to help them. This is evident in your video, bodies everywhere as you enter the grove. Still an evil walkthrough. The game doesn’t let you save the Thieflings and help Minthara. 1-Out Kagha, 2-Steal the idol and give it to Mol, 3-Knock out Minty and kill the other 2 leaders. You get Minthara in act 2 , Tiefling and the druids are saved. Win win🙃
@@DovahGirL better yet expose Kauga as a shadow druid so you can kill her without having the druids go hostile then use mage hand to throw the idol to you while hiding the knockout minthara then recruit her in act 2. then kill the rest of the goblin leaders and you save the teaflings and get the idol. you dont need to do evil playthough to get the idle and mage hand will only cause the druids to be hostile towards the mage hand and they won't go after the teaflings. after the magehand gets killed the druids will return to their intial spots

Yeah, this video talks about the evil route
It depends if you want the ring from Mol.You need to steal it and give it to Mol before they're packing (or die), otherwise she doesn't care anymore.
