There is a glitch where if you pit the backpack and all that but then still in the trading menu switch to a different character and then open the backpack. The "easy out" I found that when I freed that tortured victim and wondered where he disappeared to! I followed it and it makes killing all of the goblins outside super easy.
There's a much easier method than the backpack one, you simply enter barter mode select their entire inventory and drag it into yours, it's that simple, you only need enough gold to equal the most expensive item. Doing this also makes their gold increase up 99k very quickly after only a few sessions of reselling their items and dragging them back again.
You can disguase as a drow or play as one you don't need to take alternative root the gombling camp ..which actually has five diferent ways to get there from the wilderness map three of them where the gonlin patrol is acutally, one though the mountain pass and the other one will need some more discovering
Just found out (on my 2nd run) you can fight the entire camp with bear Helsen. He joins you has a familiar, I haven't seen anyone talk about this. I think I got the option when it comes up on how it's not a good idea from him to be seen when me.
Not sure if its not bit late but you can enter goblin camp another way with either shrink or druid wildshape throgh hole that is located around bridge with gyts and dragon.
For "get everything" tip : Do you know , if you toggle to barter, you can put all item using the shift button inside the bag. instead doing one item at time.
I didn't see most of this.... But that's because both times I've done a playthrough, I didn't bother trying to be subtle. I treated like a seige and killed *every* single goblin in open battle, one area at a time, until they were all dead. It took a while, but I didn't regret it. The weird part is when, way late in the game, they talk about how I've become a boogieman for this tribe and it's like "Who is even left to tell those tales? I killed *everyone*".
Getting all the merchant’s stuff free in that manner reminds of a post that went something like “Apple Stores are giving away stuff for free if you go in with a mask and a gun”.
Mithara is too valuable and interesting as a companion. Also Guts should be murder, out of sight, in the private room without any dialogue. Got too much loot to be ignore. With Noah I also advise against robbery as she also appears in Act two and three. Please note that I haven't check if this will severely affect the relationship.
Crusher (once you intimidated and humiliated him) can also be murder out of sight. Simply follow and wait for him to relieve him in the bridge/river then push him over. Alternatively can station someone down in the riverbank below, while pushing him with another character so that the other character can murder him while he is still trying to get up and drinking health potion then loot him for his ring. Goblins children are also free kills provide that this is done out of sight of the bugbear. Their bodies can be store later for any necromancer's spell later on. (Serial gamer/killer rant)
my favorite way of taking out the goblins leaders is simple. Knock out minthara. Follow gut to her office, go julius caesar on her. Then for the last guy, barrelmancy is too good to pass up.
Most of these are more like exploits and while everyone can make their own fun, I do think you are cheating yourself a fun experience using some of them. Plus, throwing bosses down big pits makes you lose out on a lot of loot.
I saw minthara go down the hole, and cried. Boots of striding is great for druids or shart... it'd be like pushing crusher off the bridge w/o grabbing his ring.
@@westenev lol i killed minthara on my first playthrough without realizing she was a companion. i was playing a heart of gold arcane trickster rogue so i had shadowheart drop a silence bubble on her so she couldn't call for help and then me, astarion and karlach destroyed her in one round. i am really enjoying her in my evil Durge playthough tho.
I wish that I had thought to capture it, but we just had a chaos run that should not have worked. Went back into that back of that hall in the goblin camp, with the throne and three levels, and about a dozen goblins, and survived an attack, despite Gale dying twice, and Astarion once. Started it all with Gale casting Cloud of Daggers from the 3rd tier to the floor, killing 4 goblins instantly. Went downhill real quick, because a mage pulled me (gale) down to the ground level, and put a necrotic cloud on me. Hah. We did not expect to survive. Pleasant surprise.
1:40 You can do even much more than that : sell a backpack (or any container) to a merchant you know you will kill at some point (or stun with non lethal damage) Put everything they have in the backpack. repeat after every long rest and every level up, they get new items and gold. after a few days , you can have thousands of gold, and all the potions, scrolls and arrows you might want. Then to collect all that , either kill them, or stun them with non lethal damage. Otherwise, I use that on vendors I won't kill to make sure they can buy all I have. I sell them a backpack and when I sell to them, I put the gold they have left in the backpack, so they have more the next time I come by.
what i do is simple very simple gale cast cat. cat meows. this is all in the main middle room btw. Goblins come i planted barrels that are flammable throw fire vial thing and it takes out the entire first thing of goblins and the first leader. very fun and chaotic ! then i do that for every last one. even the court yard
Priestess Gut can't be knocked off that ledge anymore. She gets stopped by an invisible wall. The Minthara one still works because the game dev's intentionally put that collapsing bridge in to drop her.
You don't even have to knock out the Loviatar follower, you can buy the mace from him (if you are playing a character who is leaning towards being non-violent or more morally-ish 'good'), at least in my playthrough I was able to.
This game is incredible! there are an endless amount of ways to go about any mission. The only limitations are your imagination and your choice of spells lol. A true DnD game
"All you have to do is knock him unconscious" (Cuts him in half with a greatsword) "Now cast Fog Cloud, and knock her unconscious." (Cuts the halfling into quarters using a sword bigger than she is)
I've done Act 1 twice and I've never met Abdirak and Roah Moonglow. I guess next time I'll need to actually explore around instead of going to kill the three leaders. On my first play through, I actually came through the back of the goblin camp where the bugbears were passed out drunk and killed them in their sleep. I killed all of them before I realized they were actually neutral to me. 😆
you mean beating the creep up was an option? i just bought the mace and sold him a bunch of junk and goblin weapons... i probably wouldn't have done that if i knew he was going to use that dirty saber.
The "A chest is here" stuff is kinda like, if they didn't a;ready find it, they aren't very good at exploring. And killing with pushes off of falls that don't end in a place you can get to is a waste of good loot. Especially unique loot. Even Barrelmancy is a better plan, for the tactically challenged.
That vendor bit is a bit strange. Can't you do the same thing, fog included but instead pickpocket that backpack off her? This seems like a better approach. Also good to know that you can use any poison to spike the goblins drink. Wyvern poison is too good to waste on them if a normal one is enough to kill the same amount of them at once.
It does. As well has multitudes of other applications. You can just pickpocket the bag (dc roll of like 23 😅) or if it’s a merchant you plan on killing; you can place everything in the bag before killing them. I farm ingredients, gold, magic arrows, various potions, and scrolls early game. Vendors replenish “non-special” loot and gold every lvl-up + long rest. The game doesn’t recognize the items in the npc’s bag. So they’ll add another 800 gold stack, replenish scrolls (without you buying them, for farming specific scrolls), and everything else
There's a way easier and less risky way to do it, you simply enter barter mode select their entire inventory and drag it into yours, it's that simple, you only need enough gold to equal the most expensive item, and even if you don't have enough for the most expensive item then it just takes all the items of lesser value and prompts that you don't have enough gold, you just click ok until the prompt is gone. You must select all or most of the items or it will not work. Best way to do it is add all items in your inventory to wares sell them to the vendor then drag them back in barter mode like I said, I made 15k gold doing that just a few times in one vendor.
@@Chonus yes, this method exists as a something else that can be used. It just generates money. However ingredients, potions, arrows, any other consumable (money), or non-named items into a bag; the npc will not recognize the items in the bag when updating inventory at lvl-ups/long/rests. You can easily build Grut (in the goblin camp/or any merchant you plan to kill) in act 1 up to have a handsome “reward” when concluding the grove quest-line My personal bias. The method you presented will be patched out and is a little more…game busting. If you can acquire an extra 10,000 gold (outside of selling everything you find/really don’t need/hording named magical items) I really have never had an issue. Even with throwing 500-600 gold at a merchant (not optimizing the lvl 1 donation bonus) I do admit my method is still cheating
At that point why not just do it legit with a dedicated thief build (arcane trickster). Your bag method is also an exploit that will be patched as well, it's just way more convoluted. It doesn't "just generate money" the money irrelevant in all situation since the point of money is to buy items which we can steal anyway. Money is so easy to get in this game that there has never once been a time when I have needed tricks like this.
The "easy out" I found that when I freed that tortured victim and wondered where he disappeared to! I followed it and it makes killing all of the goblins outside super easy.
So glad I found this video. I was just stressing about how I’m going to afford the greataxe that the Zhent trader has. Now I don’t have to worry.
Theoretically speaking, you should be able to use the darkness spell in place of fog cloud if you prefer that.
Darkness works well, both do limit ranged attacks tho so remember to focus on melee
If you have devils sight then what darkness?
Just found out (on my 2nd run) you can fight the entire camp with bear Helsen. He joins you has a familiar, I haven't seen anyone talk about this. I think I got the option when it comes up on how it's not a good idea from him to be seen when me.
Not sure if its not bit late but you can enter goblin camp another way with either shrink or druid wildshape throgh hole that is located around bridge with gyts and dragon.
If you play in console, can't stole vendors with a bag
I play on keyboard, it doesn’t work for me either, I tried but it doesn’t work
For "get everything" tip : Do you know , if you toggle to barter, you can put all item using the shift button inside the bag. instead doing one item at time.
you don't even need the bag you can just drag it into your inventory ;)
6:25 You can make Gut move by moving the red boxes in her room to the edge as well
Does anyone know how to drag items into a bag on Xbox? I assume it’s possible but I don’t remember ever doing this. Asking before I even try
I'm wondering the same thing...
I just got to the goblin camp, and these tips will be quite useful. Thanks for the vid!
Poisoning the Goblins alcohol also give Haunted One(Dark Urge) Inspiration.
I'm sure most murderous dialogue options lead to inspiration for Durge lmao.
I really prefer the killing XP
Don't forget to eat dwarf belly😅
If you aren't Durge, Astarion also gets inspired
@@Lavampiresa67 Oh that cool! I didnt know that Ive honestly only played 3 Dark Urge playthroughs lol Im bad and fucked in the head
You can also sneak around the goblin camp entrance on the right hand side.
But every goblins near the pit are free games.
@@imnothere6906 Yup. I got Laez to pick him up and throw him from the bridge.
Nuts? The guy who says “I am berserk man rahhhh!!!”???
Larian always amazes me everytime I play this
my favorite way of taking out the goblins leaders is simple. Knock out minthara. Follow gut to her office, go julius caesar on her. Then for the last guy, barrelmancy is too good to pass up.
what do i need to do in order to put my camera like him like third person p
Does the roah trick still work? Or is it only a pc thing?
On console you can give her the backpack but can't put all her items in it any help?
I'm wondering the same thing
there is a dagger too by the loviathar guy, and that one is super good too
how do you control your character's walk while using the cursor at the same time ?
All these tips are good for pc… when does the tips for the game systems come out
I wish that I had thought to capture it, but we just had a chaos run that should not have worked.
1:40 You can do even much more than that :
sell a backpack (or any container) to a merchant you know you will kill at some point (or stun with non lethal damage)
Put everything they have in the backpack.
repeat after every long rest and every level up, they get new items and gold.
after a few days , you can have thousands of gold, and all the potions, scrolls and arrows you might want.
Then to collect all that , either kill them, or stun them with non lethal damage.
Otherwise, I use that on vendors I won't kill to make sure they can buy all I have. I sell them a backpack and when I sell to them, I put the gold they have left in the backpack, so they have more the next time I come by.
do not kill the goblin leaders like this! you will not be able to loot their tadpoles
How can i do this on console?
The Hole in #2 was where I had my first death. Set off a trap and got blasted into the hole.
I think the backpack exploit was patched out...
Disguise yourself as a drow with the helmet that you get in your camp and just walk all the way into the goblin Temple with no issues.
what i do is simple very simple gale cast cat. cat meows. this is all in the main middle room btw.
"All you have to do is knock him unconscious"
(Cuts him in half with a greatsword)
"Now cast Fog Cloud, and knock her unconscious."
(Cuts the halfling into quarters using a sword bigger than she is)
Nice tips, inspired by your content, I've crafted a custom thumbnail for one of your videos. Where can I send it for you to see? 😄
instagibbing the leaders like that costs you their loot (ie, the tadpoles)
For the backpack trick, does that allow you to see her in Moonrise? Because she has a good hand crossbow that you miss out on if she's not there.
Does the backpack glitch still works?! I cant get anything inside the backpack.🤔
i don't think so.
Console players can’t do the roah moon glow glitch where we put everything in a bag… right?
They patched the exploit
6:08 Shoving foes into chasms may kill them instantly but could cost you precious loot.
Here's a hack (not really) if you wanna glitch someone for their stuff. Just DL a mod that gives you gold and buy it.
Or you can just ask him to use the dagger instead, then he'll put the op mace at table
How do?
cast silence on priestess and she can't call for help. one round easy kill and you get the loot too.
Dang it! I just finished the goblin camp. I wish I could have used these tricks.
Hi/ this method DOES NOT WORK on PS5 console. You can’t even move items or click to move them. There’s only sort items per type
Nah ive discovered all this besides the backpack glitch from the very first time playing. I just look everything
He said he wasn't able to take the backpack directly and could only send it to camp. So doesn't pickpocket make you TAKE it first?
I wonder if that bag trick would work on console 🤔
The Roah Moonglow robbery doesn’t work anymore, I tried different things and nope, doesn’t work
Yeah, the devs patched it out. It was nice while it lasted.
For all of you trying this use a pouch instead of a backpack it will still work
Ha, never found how the prisoner escaped... Thought he might just been thin air..
that trick with the vendor and the backpack was insane. It should work with other npcs/vendors right?
So they’ll add another 800 gold stack, replenish scrolls (without you buying them, for farming specific scrolls), and everything else
oo @@manbearpig6025
You can easily build Grut (in the goblin camp/or any merchant you plan to kill) in act 1 up to have a handsome “reward” when concluding the grove quest-line
My personal bias. The method you presented will be patched out and is a little more…game busting. If you can acquire an extra 10,000 gold (outside of selling everything you find/really don’t need/hording named magical items) I really have never had an issue. Even with throwing 500-600 gold at a merchant (not optimizing the lvl 1 donation bonus)
I do admit my method is still cheating
At that point why not just do it legit with a dedicated thief build (arcane trickster). Your bag method is also an exploit that will be patched as well, it's just way more convoluted. It doesn't "just generate money" the money irrelevant in all situation since the point of money is to buy items which we can steal anyway. Vendors restock inventory every level regardless of your method, saving them for later in bag is no different. @@manbearpig6025
Cant do the backpack trick on the ps5
Basic poison doesnt work in the goblin camp
Killed Roah the merchant in act3 and got like 18K on gold from her body :D
In act 3 she has all the loot from the bank heist on her (10K) in addition to vendor cash.
6:50 Mithara's armor, nooooo....
why would you ever want to kill Minthara? shes way too powerful to waste just like that
Can you do this with controller(the backpack trick)
Been trying
I mean there's a completly trap free alt path to the right of the bridge
ha, just started a civil war inside the goblin camp.... Minthara goblins vs. Ragzlin goblins...
How did you do that? That would be so funny to see.
@@PinkMarshmallows sadly... i can't remember a bit any longer... don't even know any more which of my 39 started runs it was... i suddenly happend.. i mean i know you can aggro the Minthara goblins in the druid grove by stealing stuff in front of the imprisoned goblin... or his guards... stuff like that happend in like 4 of my runs i think... but that civil war was really unique... but i did so many things in so many different orders... ceiling the grove, raiding it, talking Minthara first, talking Ragzlin first... getting the brand or not...
The get everything move is patched.
I see you also have the bug where the game duplicated your camp chest. Ususally happens after the game crashes. Crazy how that bug hasn't been fixed yet after 6 months.
Nah in my first play through, I jumped in the camp😂😂😂
But you lose the tadpoles if you shove them
I accidentally killed Abdirack in the camp. I was attacking from up high and thought he was a goblin.
You monster!
@@PaulRGauthier 😂
They all looked the same from the rafters! 😭
His body disappeared though so I'm not sure where he ran off to.
0:15 Dude, you can just buy it from him in the trade menu.............
Why have I never seen roah moonglow in the goblin camp?
Did you go in guns blazing? If you make the gobbos perma aggro, Roah and the priest run for their lives and minthara becomes impossible to recruit (gets perma deleted when ko'd and treated as dead).
@@westenev I've never successfully recruited Minthara. On a good playthrough, killing all the goblin leaders, how do you accomplish this?
@@garyco766 There are two conditions in Baldur's Gate 3 that relate to non-lethal damage. You can cause "Unconcious", which means they get up on a long rest, or you can cause Knocked Out, which deletes them on long rest and is mechanically the same as killing them.
To cause Minthara to become unconscious, you have to make sure she is Temporary Hostile (which means you need to defeat her before the goblins beat their drums or killing Draw Ragslin). If she is Hostile, you will knock her out, and she will be dead.
After Minthara is unconscious, kill the other leaders, and she will appear in moonrise.
I actually did the easy kill first time around!
I just pickpocket Roah... Gloves and cats grace = profit.
nice ty
You cant get anything for free, they already fixed it..... I tried but I just sold my backpack and could not put something inthere.
with easy kill you lost death pools
The bag exploit (yes, it's an exploit) on vendors has been known for a while now. And the reason you couldn't pick it up is because it was too heavy.
cant do with ps5 =/
