Great video, Gavin. You took some fantastic shots, and it was nice to hear the thought process going on behind each one as you went
Gavin is my favorite photographer/teacher on UA-cam keep up the good work im always learning from you.
I love this series by Gavin, insightful to see the results on the spot.
Love your videos thanks Gavin - this one especially - great to learn how that dramatic B&W effect is done. Keep them coming!
I been waiting so long for this, thanks Gavin
I am really glad to have found these.
They're really good!
Gavin, I love watching your videos and my three year old loves the country and western tune that plays just after you say, "Hi, I'm Gavin Hoey and this is another 15 minute photo challenge".. ... .. keep up the good work!!

Thanks, Gavin. Learned so much and very interesting.
Gavin i have recently bought my first "decent" camera a Nikon D3200 and i am currently adicted to your videos! Thankyou! so easy to understand and informative.
Awesome idea to blend the blurry and sharp layer together at the end of the vid. love that effect. I gotta try that :)
Glad it's back. Hope for good.
Great video! 15 minute Photo Challenge is back!)))
And I get to the part of the video when you do exactly that! Thanks - you're awesome :)
Is all ways nice to see your videos congratulation , and thank you
Yes, the 15min Challenges are back :)
Interesting video, Nice! Gavin.
Great video!..thank you x
amazing tutorial. you are the best!!! thank you!
I enjoy these 15min challenges. I assume all the photos that are shown have been post-processed and not just the one at the end.
Nice on Gavin.
Thank You! I'll check it out :)
Gavin, would you consider making a video showing how you process your color images in photoshop? I really like the tone and colors of the second panorama you made in this video. Thanks :)
As usual great tutorial Gavin..! could you please make a video about using a speedlite.. Pleeeassee..! tnx in advance..
I always love watching your videos! By the way, can the Canon EOS M switch lenses with normal DSLR lenses such as your 24-105mm?
Great video
You are a master, Gavin! Another great video. I have just recently purchased my first DSLR camera (Nikon D5100) and am feeling totally overwhelmed with all the settings....and I refuse to use Auto! Any tips for a beginner?
thank you very much for your videos :)
i like it all
i learn a lot from you
a lot more photo challenges pls !!!
gavin is the best!
Another great video Gavin.
I was wondering why you mixed the blurred layer to the sharp image.... could you help us understand?
Would love a photoshop tutorial on the colour effects on a lot of these photos
Mark Wallace from Snap Factory has done videos like that. It helped me a lot.
Hi Gavin. would you be able to do a video on the black and white effect you manage in Photoshop? Perhaps you've already done one and I've missed it!
good video!
08:30 airplane at the back somehow looks happy to me :D
Pls, share those full res photos for us to admire!
Stick to A (aperture priority) mode and learn how changing the aperture changes the photo.
Hey Gavin, great tip. Do you make further adjustments on the photo if you send it to printer? What are they? Thanks
Gavin, your content is always appreciated. How come you never use the Tone Curve tool in Raw? Honestly I think it is the hardest tool to use but it is useful. I would like to see how you use it and I am sure it would be useful to others.
Hey Gavin, deine Videos sind toll,
Hi Gavin, what software did you use to stitch together the aircraft panorama?
u r the best
Can you do a video on how you edited the panoramas? I mean, not the part when you paste all the pictures together to make the panorama. I'm talking about the actual RAW editing, it looks like an HDR but i think it's not. Am i right?
Hi Gavin.
I'm a amateur photographer and i've been using different editing softwares for some time now, really just because i'm not sure about Photoshop.
I was wondering if you, in one of your up coming episodes, could talk about photoshop and change the subject from editing and shooting to more of a this "what you get when you buy photoshop" video. It would mean a lot to me and to a lot of other amateur photographers too.
Keep up the good work! :-)
Kind regards
Micho Nielsen
Dear Gavin,
Why are you so awesome?
Regards,
A professional photographer.
I really enjoy watching these photos challenges, but I was rather disappointed to see you using an EOS M
Interesting...
he uses it as starting point of a panoramic set of photos.......as it is easier to find a photo of ur hand than a panorama when u download it onto ur computer.......does this make sense. he has another video from late June or July this year explaining just this and of taking panoramas. Hope this helps.
So I just wasted £500 on a 600d when I could of got this compact camera thats the same?
If only the Adorama intro wasn't so annoying. I always jump directly to 0:30. Other than that, great video! Thank you!
That intro is too retro
I'm not a fan of Curves... just not a tool I ever use.
Nice Video but this museum looks more like a plane graveyard. I am confused by things like a blue plastic bucked inside the helicopter and the lack of information signs that tell you what kind of plane you see. Is it worth a visit when taking pictures is not the main goal?
I did try a lot of sites but for some reason it didn't help me :)
Not trying to take away from Gavin's views, but you may check out Jared Polin's stuff. They have worked together on a vid.
For the first time a 15 minute photo challenge video is 15 minutes long :)
Hey Gavin, can you do a video on DSLR basics(ISO, aperture, etc) please? That would help us beginners a lot :) Thumbs up please?
That's when LCD comes handy than viewfinder...If it had one...
It's a mirrorless camera.
Were all these pics edited in photoshop or they are straight out of the camera ?
00:26
ISO 400? Very OPEN! But is good!
But there's already lots of good videos for that on UA-cam.
no you didn't wast your money
the Eos M (this compact camera) has a very very slow auto-focus,
it's not as versatile as the 600d. The Eos M is just an option if you already have a DSLR that you can use when you do action shots, need a view-finder.
In my opinion the Eos M is a bit of botched job, wait for the next product iteration from them to include a quicker focus system or look towards the sony nex, olympus pen cameras or better yet keep the 600d
processed ;)
Is it really that hard to write it in the searcher? /watch?v=pzgALhGF8_o
The bolts wouldn't be aluminum. Dislike metals as well ;)
The internet is overloaded with that info and its not like rocket science :s
Am I the only one that thinks the one he picked as his favorite is the most boring and and far too busy image he took? I really like the perspective shots he did of the prop.
atleast you dont do what i do when i use a camera with out a veiw finder - smudge my nose all over the screen trying to find the dam view finder LOL
Sounds like a bit of a sore throat there Gav
ugly place , but great photos ..
