I really liked how this game tried to frame the Assassins vs Templars as more shades of grey than previous games, but it made the assassins almost comically evil in places that really made the story fall flat. One side mission was to prevent the assassination of a weapon smith, whom the Assassins had discovered the Templars were buying weapons from. Dude was just doing his job and livelihood, and the Assassins were going to kill him. In previous games, you'd be either attempting to sway him or track the weapons to find a Templar. Your suggestion for a gradual build up sounds like it could have been amazing, and really driven home that it isn't a simple good vs evil fight going on, it's a philosophical struggle playing out across centuries. Neither side is really good. I had the benefit of playing this quite a few years after it came out, and straight after AC4, so for me I didn't have many bugs, and it was just more AC4, so I in general had a good experience with it, even if I thought it was on the weaker side of the franchise. Great video as always!
Ac3 is my absolute favorite and I always felt like this game is more of a relation to that than black flag was so rogue is my second favorite in the series
Great video as always😁, your views and being a logical AC fan makes you the best AC UA-camr ❤ to me at least 😅 Now my personal opinion , I really enjoyed this game 🎯 and now I'm replying the remastered version on my way to 100% 💯😅 anyway I hope you have a wonderful day 👀
if you like ac pranchise before ac origins ( cus different directions to the games) sure go ahead it has an interesting points but how was it delivered was rushed ( literally - the game got made in under 12 months ) but if you haven't played other initial ac's probably it wont talk to you like it would do to people understanding on whats what and ultimately leaving you with more questions than answer.
@@IronsideGeorge Right now I am playing through India. I will then do Russia and finish with China since I heard that is the best one of the three. I like the sense of urgency with moving through some sections of the levels, the games encouraging stealth, and introductions of new tools and enemies such as the guards that can use the hiding spots. However, I’m not a fan of how unforgiving the games can be with getting detected, the exploration isn’t great like the mainline games are, and some of the parts of levels where you have to be quick can be pretty aggravating like escaping the moving wall of light on the left side of the screen in one of the India temple levels.
I reckon it’s close, but Rogue takes the win. Rogue released as the poor persons choice of game over Unity; whereas at least Syndicate had its own release. Both are underrated for sure though.
Would you recommend Rogue to an Assassin's Creed fan who hasn't played it before?
I havent played it, but if I ever do and I like it then yeah probably.
Playing AC3 and Black Flag first will help a little with the story
Yes
Nope, rather prefer black flag or unity for best experience
As would I, but I’d recommend Rogue too!
Assassin’s Creed: Rogue has a special place in my heart!
😂

Great video as always!
As did I, concept wise is brilliant, but execution is hit and miss.
Appreciate the support as always dude! 👏

Story wise, 100%. Gameplay wise, obviously more similar to Black Flag, but they’re all pretty similar; and that’s fine with me!
Obsessed wiht the music
Same!

Have you tried any of the Assassin's Creed side games? Currently playing the Chronicles games.
I have - but not for many years. I personally really enjoyed the AC Chronicles, how you finding it?

Its fine, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wasn't already invested in the whole franchise
Yes don't watch the video. Rogue shows a different side of conflict in AC series.
Assassin’s creed syndicate is more underrated.

First view
Better than Mirage.
