Because I do not let myself driven by nostalgia and I embrace change, unlike some of the people in this community who still live in 2011

You would know that the true meaning of the franchise is to be in the role of a assassin, a blade in the shadows who infiltrates highly guarded places, assassinates their targets, gets their confessions, and leaves without being seen. Not a brute that brutally slashes everything in your way with superpowers that don't even make sense, if you want that, go to God Of War.

I still get chills when I play Assassin's Creed II and Ezio's Family starts playing for the first time.
It gets me everytime. Can't believe it's been 14 years since it first came out. It's crazy how the time flies.
I only started playing the original games last year & fell in love with Ezio and his story. Just superb 👌 Hearing the theme from AC2 makes me want to cry 😭💔

Mirage gave me the chills. The fact that the logo shimmering like a mirage combined with the music made it ethereally beautiful.

The opening scene of Assassin's Creed III is a visual marvel, as Haytham's presence commands attention, and the title reveal is nothing short of iconic.
And the musical score throughout the whole game too. Absolutely amazing. AC3 to me had the grandest music. Origins close behind. The music in all the games is just simply amazing
Among all intros, AC 3 hits unique for me.I mean the perfect of them all...
AC3's intro in general was great. Which made the rest of the game all the more disappointing.

For example, I find Ezio's trilogy overhyped, it is OK at best and writing of first two entries of trilogy can effortlessly be dismantled by any one of the after-kill conversions of Altair with his targets in AC I.
@@sumairali1688 Oh, the first AC definitely has the best writing in the series (which is a subjective opinion, obviously). ACII's story mainly relies on the likeability of its characters. The actual plot and pacing are a bit weak (but still way better than the steaming pile of dung that ACIII tried to pass off as a story).

In my opinion, the introduction of AC3 is the perfect scenario. AC Unity has an intro that looks like a movie and feels mysterious, and Mirage's is very good, as if you discovered a path to a new adventure.
I love the Black Flag intro, the music and the skull appearing for seconds literally says for you "Enjoy, this is a pirate game!"

for me odyssey was the best one too, even if you`re not playing an assassin, BUT it clears so much questions about the first civilisation which hasn`t been answered in previous game. + atlantis looks stunning. and I love greek history. would be great if they would make an AC game set in old rome, like 100 B.C. or so.@@dragonballworld8070

Assassin's Creed Mirage gives me the feel of what Assassin's Creed originally was and it also shares the feelings of Prince of Persia.
Unfortunately the game was just a scam, it wasn’t going back to its roots at all, it was horrible rpg like the rest of the rpg ac saga, oh and the parkour sucked, the just bought pack pivotal post but that’s it lmao

You're clearly someone who hasn't played any ac and just seen some videos on it, there were major improvements, it's not at all bad.. It's a good ac but origins is far better in my opinion.. And the parkour is definitely improved. They never said we'll be given unity level parkour.. And the story is better than unity, lol and Basim is more of an intresting charecter than Arno. Unity has a very weak story line and a boring charecter, the only thing I like about unity is the stealth..

Even kept wasting my money when I bought origins and odyssey when that’s AC entered its shitty era and went from one of the most iconic saga in video game history to just a casual game!! Thank god I stole Valhalla and mirage and didn’t waste money this time…so yeah I play AC don’t worry about that
The parkour in Mirage was far far far better than Ody and Valhalla and you ain’t wrong Origins looked kinda better than Mirage but it still sucked, even syndicate was way way way more smoother and that says a lot my g!!! Let’s not talk about the fighting system that’s probably one of the worse ever specially for a 2023 game when since 2015 other casual rpg has been making games with a fantastic system…oh and the face animation wanna talk about that??? It’s really a humiliation what they did cause even a fucking souls game has better face animation than mirage in 2023 it’s a fucking insult!!!
Yes the writing was good and better than Unity, even tho Arno was far better physically and better graphisme in Unity, Unity after they patched it was just perfect except for the storyline yes it’s was meh but they universe and free roam and civilians interaction was far better than any AC, you felt the heart of the revolution it was just insane bruv!!!
Like I said it never went back to their roots, Mirage was just a scam lmao….and see you confirmed what I said, you couldn’t attach Unity about its gameplay but only its storyline, which in my initial comment I was only talking about gameplays and not Story…you had to be a bit salty Karen…so yeah you know I’m right, it’s ok bruv I’m an avid fan, a true fan doesn’t follow a series blindly and isn’t loyal and delusion to the end no!!! A true fan knows how to critic and self think, being self aware and not just a lap dog that receives treats constantly…

AC III is the best, the music, the scenery, everything about it is perfect.
I think that I'm unable to connect with Connor as a character because we had such a perfect intro without him
As someone who lived in Asia my whole life and had zero knowledge of American history as a kid, imagine my surprise when I realized that the foggy landscape in the horizon was the early US. Coupled with the rising strings, it really filled me with a sense of adventure

If you are American yeah, for me it doesn't have any special place and wasn't perfect at all. It was the first one that killed the actual AC vibes. It was a great pirate game though, not AC
Nothing will ever beat the beginning of AC2. It gave us the often used "Ezio's family". AC3 came close imo.
Imo AC2 Intro and Theme might be more iconic but it doesn't look or sound more beautiful than AC3

I know it’s incredibly controversial of me to say this, but I love the AC odyssey one. Sure, as an AC game it’s not brilliant, but as just a massive open world, I find it incredible.
Love the old games but IMHO Odyssey was the best of all
maybe if it was a standalone game with a different name. but it doesn’t fit the title Assassin’s Creed.
Although some of the main games are a little weaker than others and the various directions Ubi have taken the series has caused no end of arguments, there has not really been a real stinker (Unity when it initially released maybe) which is impressive for such a long running, and at times very ambitious, series
I love the old assassin's creed but yeah, I've played odyssey multiple times, it's one I keep coming back to, never tire of it
i'm a hardcore AC fan but, while i don't consider Odyssey an AC game, it's a brilliant open world RPG game imo

You all can have your own opinions, but the title opening from AC 2 is THE title opening for AC. It set the precedant for all other titles. Again, you can have your favorites, but AC2 is the best.

AC2 is mid at best
It's kinda sad not many people talk about the musical brilliance of Lorne Balfe for what he did for ACIII and the intro speaks for itself. People even forget he co-composed with Jesper Kyd for Revelations
No other game can equal to Black Flag in my eyes.

Gotta give credit to AC Origins especially with the Hidden Ones DLC... it's not as dramatic as most of the other ones but after knowing the events of the main game, you just know Bayek was feeling real good about himself as even the blind sing of his glory

@dmitriyzubkov4611 So? Nearly every game since AC2 has included some variation on Ezio's Family since it's become the de facto theme for the entire franchise. If anything, Rogue was the one that had the least variation from the original. Odyssey's was more epic, Origins' was mysterious, Mirage's version was beautiful and sad, they all have their own spin on it
Most people don’t realize what they have until they lose it. Ezio already knew what he had and appreciated it.

Oh man, 'Ezio's Family' in Assassin's Creed II is legendary! That music just hits differently, doesn't it? It's like you're instantly transported back in time, right into Ezio's world.

I bought all previous games and binge played them a few months before Black Flag released.
I fell off and never finished origins, syndicate and odyssey. One day I’ll have to get back to them and try out Valhalla too.

Man, I used to love in the early games how they’d have those little crackles and distortions, occasionally the view would get all film-grainy, like a glitch in the matrix, reminding you that you’re actually in a simulation. Made you really feel like you were experiencing events from the outside, peering into the secret history that went on behind-the-scenes in world events. I wish people hadn’t complained so much about the modern-day stuff, because that perspective totally recontextualized everything. 😔

Nothing gives you more hype then when you play the first few minutes of the game and the opening titles show up.
I dont think theyve ever gotten close to how perfect that AC2 title drop is. The dialogue and the sound track makes that scene incredible. Really think they caught lightning in a bottle with that.

I know Ezio's Family theme hits home for everyone. However, I put black flag's theme equally on its level. Just pure vibes and a breath of fresh air to an otherwise a gloomy and ominous narrative of the previous chapters.
