  • How to take a mixed bag of fabrics and yarns of all kinds and turn them into something beautiful...use an embellisher that's how! If you're not familiar with this it's a needlefelting machine which meshes fabrics together so magically, creating delicious surfaces for free machine embroidery,. Can you tell I love my machine?! There will be a bigger demo of how to embellisher in my next video...can't squeeze it all into one, it's too exciting, and we just had to play with fabrics first!
    I hope this inspires you to play with your fabric stash too...why not pop by and tell me what you get up to! I'd love it if you'd like to subscibe or leave me a comment below, or on my Facebook or Instagram pages...

    I am so very glad I found your channel. I have had a Janome Embellisher for years and couldn't find any help for using it and kept breaking needles (very expensive mistakes) and then just gave up. I can't wait to watch more of your videos and get back into embellishing, yay!

      Hi Linda, thanks so much and yes that's a great idea for a make...might have to work it up a bit as it's just an old jumper cuff with some embroidery!!

      Hi Sally, so excited for you that you have got yourself an embellisher! Often people have them stashed in cupboards cos they don't know what to do with them, so well done for liberating it! So glad you're enjoying my videos...I seem to be creating out break of embellisher - itis! :)

      I’m admin on the Free Motion Machine Embroidery page where I first saw your videos. I added your early videos to our files but then started a ‘popular topic’ section to save all the posts about them! I volunteer at our local scrapstore and we had a load of those organza type uncut teabag rolls from Betty’s Tea Rooms and they embellish beautifully and make great waves for seascapes!

      thank you so much Fatima for your beautiful comments...it is a fabulous machine. Mine is a Babylock embellisher with 12 needles, but there are other makes...maybe you can find a second hand one somewhere?!

    Hello, I this this style of creating! I am buying a second hand husqvarna embellishing machine. I have yet to pick it up. I have been doing some research, I am in Australia, looking for replacement needles. they seem very expensive and rare. Any ideas where I can get some? Thanks so much for your video and hope you are safe over there.

      that sounds exciting! an embellisher on the way! I buy my needles as a generic kind onlinefrom a UK firm called Barnyarns, which are cheaper, but obvs postage to Aus would be something on top. Brand name ones are always more expensive and I have to say I have found these perfectly ok to use. I don't often need new needles luckily! Hope your new machine will be super!

    how often do you get the machine serviced pls?
    how much does that cost?
    does it harbour a lot of fluff?
    thank yo

    • @StitchandCreate
      @StitchandCreate  3 роки тому

      that's a good Q. I have had the Babylock machine over 5 years now and not needed to get it serviced as yet. It runs really well so i haven't felt the need. Cost prob like that of a sewing machine I imagine. It does collect fluff, but is really easy to clean out and it takes ages to collect really. Hope that helps! :)

    can anything created with the embellisher be put through the wash?

    • @StitchandCreate
      @StitchandCreate  2 роки тому

      mm good Q! only if stitched thoroughly down, as what you embellish will just pull out, and might make a big mess in your machine!! I wouldn't recommend it!
