I have so many ideas. You have some of my similar thoughts . Just a few different textures and possibilities.🙋 THANK You for sharing.
I enjoyed this. Thank you. I got a machine for my birthday and I have been having so much fun using it in my multi media art work. Your video was helpful. I am still learning, but really see opportunity in more fabrics now. So glad I can learn from you.
Fantastic tutorial. Thank you. I recently bought an embellisher machine and absolutely love using it. The possibilities really are endless.
This is amazing! Thank you. The technique is so much fun, and your video is clear and informative. I look forward to trying this.
Thank you
Nice techniques my friend. TFS. Stay connected 😊
Loved the whole technique! Simplicity and symmetry woven with color. I am shopping for a machine today!!! Thanks for your tutorial.
Thank you for watching.
Anni
🌺🌸 Hi and thanks a lot for your tutorial. You explain really well. I have just inherited a Babylock Embellisher and had no idea at all on how to use it and thanks to your demonstration, I’m starting to see the possibilities. What appeals to me is that it can be a great tool in making artistic pieces that can be framed like what you’re doing and play with transparency and shades, etc.
Your videos have really inspired me. Thank you!
+Aline Florizone glad it inspired you Aline!
Love the way you use the felting machine. Great!!
Do you have a machine Tonny? Have you any creations with the machine to show us?
I love your tuition. I own an embellisher machine you have inspired me to really get to grips with it. Also love your accent ! Thanks for the tutorials 🤗
Wendy! Thank you for your comment, it has inspired me too, to maybe do a few more tutorials.
Just fabulous - and so pertinent time-wise! Fell upon you! Thanks Anni, with warm greetings from Cape Town, South Africa....Toody - a brand new machine embellisher user! So clear and informative and inspiring!!!

I love your comment that you didn't think you would use it that much. That is how I was feeling too. But you have given me lots of ideas and I can see that with some planning and experimentation I should be able to create some very interesting pieces. Thank you so much,
Great Pari! looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Don't hesitate to show me!
thank you so much for doing this tutorial, I do not have a machine yet .... but the ideas using open weave etc has inspired me
Did you get a machine yet?
Very nice video. I appreciate you posting this. I just got my Embellisher and really wasnt sure what I was going to do with it. Thanks so much for motivating me!
I hope you were inspired to create some beautiful pieces!

So glad it helped Sylvie!
Awesome, thank you 🙏
I hope you were inspired to create some beautiful pieces!
This technique seems easy and open to all kinds of ideas to add to created clothing which is what I plan to do.
I know Bryan! It is so easy, and if you don't like it you can tease it off gently. Have fun! Anni
Just love it!!!
Thank you Jennifer!
Awesome. Thank you.
Thank you for watching! :))

You're welcome! Any time. I would love to see what you're up to; just send me a note with a link to your creations. :)
Hi Annie, I have a embellished machine and I really haven't use it. Been looking at some of your videos because I am going to really learn it. I have a question where do you get the felt fabric thst looks like fabric?
Could you use the embellished with Solvy in sandwich between fragments of cloth, ribbons and threads?
I enjoyed the video--my embellisher eats up delicate ribbons like the one you successfully used. I've used several bases such as 2 layers of fabric with cotton quilt batting between them, craft felt--Any thoughts about how I might gain better control? Is wool felt base the answer maybe?
Yes, I think the batting would eat it up quicker. I use, felt, soft wools, even linen.
Thank you for your video. I am a needle felt artist but just received an embellisher and am looking forward to using it. Could you please tell me how you attach your fabric pieces to the mount board as you did with that lovely orangey one? Thank you.
+Gillian Lait I use an acid neutral glue on the back of my pieces Gillian. If you don't like the idea of glue, you could use a stitch in each corner if you pre-punch/drill the holes for the needle to go through.
Best
Anni
Lovely ideas and beautiful work. Just been given a machine for a very big birthday and didn't know where to start. Is Calico a kind of linen I can use as a base please? Forgive my stupidity.
Hi Kathy, calico is a cotton, but would work also. Just be careful not to embellish to the point that the cotton starts to deteriorate and the fibre remains intact.
Good luck! Anni
Thanks very much Anni
Ann your fabric is beautiful I'm just learning about the baby loc embellisher is that the machine you are using if so I so want this machine!!!! can you switch out the needle and do the free motion you are doing within the little circle or is that all twelve needles doing that I love how it does your yarn!!!!!! Thanks for the inspiration love your art work!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Chloe, so sorry not to have seen your comment before. This machine is only for embellishing, so it cannot 'stitch' with any threads. It only machine felts fabrics together. As I said, it is quite freeing to 'stitch' without threads so to speak.
Muito lindas as peças...parece ter uma infinidade de possibilidades ....misturando texturas e fazendo coisas lindas ....mas onde comprar uma máquina dessas ????
look out for used/second hand machins on ebay or
Muito obrigada pela atenção ....com certeza vou procurar .... é maravilhosa
Your small finished pieces as fine art are so very effective, sensitive and simply beautiful abstract works. They would seem so cost effective to sell on the mat board in a plastic sleeve, leaving the framing preferences to the collector. Do you
Hi Marshall, yes that is exactly what I do! Always like to have some affordable art pieces when I am exhibiting. Then someone can go home with a little treasure to remind then of my work, without having to invest a lot of their hard earned money.
Anni
Yes that is precisely what I do Marshall. At my shows I like to have some 'affordable' art for everyone!
What types of sewing foot can you use on a regular sewing machine? Thank you for sharing this video!
Hi Bikt, not sure if I understand your question.......can you be more specific?
@@AnniHunt , if there is any foot feed that can be used to give the same sewing technique as a Feeding machine or embellishing technique on a regular sewing machine.
@@victoriamcintosh5122 ah, I get you. Well as I said, Bernina has a felting foot/kit that you can attach to their machines. It works really well. I have not checked into any other companies to see if they do a special foot /kit for felting. NB It is the needles that do the felting, they are "burred" on the tips (i.e. roughed up and jagged) so you use the 'burred' needles to felt the fabrics together. So, included in the kit is an attachment that accepts 6-10 of these burred needles to meld/felt the sandwich of fabrics together. I hope this answers your question. Anni
@@AnniHuntOh thank you so much! Yes, this answers my question and thoughts. I'm actually working on my Thesis Proposal with an Arts-Based Method and this is perfect! Have a great day!
@@victoriamcintosh5122 Great, would love to see it!
Ive never made one, would u use it in quilting?
Hi Kerrie, I have not used it in quilting, but I think that sounds like a brilliant idea! Try it and let me know what you come up with.
Thank you very much, but I can't find this machine on the internet ... Where is it? Thanks.
Here you go Helena hobbylock embellisher 7
@@AnniHuntTV thank you.
How do you care for felted fabric if it was on a garment? Dry cleaning would be too costly for me.
You can wash woollen fabric, just be gentle as the agitation is what felts it even further, giving you shrinkage. So use gentle soap or shampoo (treat it like your hair) and just gentle swishing around in the luke warm water. Rinse in warm water, squeeze out gently and dry flat on a towel. Iron and block back into shape if needed.
Best of luck Anni
Thank you. :)
Hello, I've tried to find the Embellisher machine, but apparently no longer make them. Any ideas on where I can get one or something similar?
Hi there Marie-Helene, I heard this a while ago and was so sad to hear this. However I do know that a lot of people buy these and never use them because they don't know what to do with them! So you can easily find them used, and for sale on various online forums......(etsy/ebay/amazon or local sales).....and because the machine is so simple (mechanically) there is not much to go wrong with it so they are like new!.........good luck in finding one. My girlfriend in England wants to sell hers...........where are you?
I'm in Maryland. I'm thinking the same as you. Folks don't know what to do with them, so they put them away. I'm looking and it doesn't look like I'm too far off from finding one. Keeping my fingers crossed. I think something local would be better than England. Thanks for your quick response though.
Do you use a lot of silks in the creation of your pieces using this technique?
Hi there, I use all kinds of fabrics. The open weave is better for the base fabric. Felt works beautifully to push through the base from the front or back. And then ribbons/threads and lace work well to introduce lines into your work. I do use silks but remember that a fine weave fabrics is more difficult to needle felt.
Thank you. I wish you were presenting at QSDS this year.
What is that REER?
Did you see my other video REER? ua-cam.com/video/QkPXFrqhZ8g/v-deo.html
I've watched most of your videos on UA-cam. I'm subscribed to your channel. QSDS is the Quilting Surface Design Symposium in Ohio.
Where are the links posted ??
Ha, mia culpa! I will get on it! LOL 5yrs too late!
How to embellish clouds
I dont understand how this would be used practically (constructing clothing?)
Hi Kerrie, I have used it for 'appliqué ' onto some jackets but I use it mainly for my art pieces.
What type machine ?
Babylock.
Warum, ist immer bei solch gut erklärenden Videos, kein deutscher Untertitel. Finde ich sehr sehr schade hätte Ihre Erklärungen gerne verstanden.
Hi Annelie!, I will try on my next tutorial to do a written subtitle that you can translate with google translate. Thank you for watching.
Anni
Can you Tell me please, how much it cost this machine? Thanks
Mine was one of the first Sara, $799.00 but I think you can get them as low as $399 now.
I have a Simplicity 12 needle felting machine. I've looked for a link for the current cost and am amazed st the increase in prices. I purchased mine @ 4-5 years ago for just under $90.
